Favourite Royal outfits

Would anyone like to join me in my attempt to unite the board and discuss our favourite royal outfits (before it enviably turns into another bun fight 🤣)

I’ll start with my favourite Catherine outfits first…

She did! The length of them!

Honestly it’s one of my favourite wedding outfits. Such a lovely colour and style for an older bride.

Queen Elizabeth

The dress in second photo is the Norman Hartnell that Beatrice wore for her wedding 🥰

I love the photo of her in her country outfit, I think she would have loved being a lady of the manor with her horses and doggies

I still maintain that the Queen’s outfit was nicer than Jackie Kennedy’s (even if JK’s was more modern for the time)

Loved Kate's gold dress. Meghan's birds black and white dress was my favourite. But, to me, Diana's style was iconic.

From a shy 19 year old to a fashion icon. Loved a lot of her outfits.

This is my favourite look of Catherine's - she looked utterly adorable that day

Diana's wedding dress was so of its day , but back in the day so was I ! That photo is fabulous @Kellywiththelegs . On the day of the Charles and Di wedding I was working in a youth hostel in the Black Forest - it was a thing my school did for those taking German - and the Herbergsmutter gave me the day off so we could watch it on a rubbish TV in her little sitting room. (I am quite convinced she did it so she could persuade her husband she was helping the English girl not feel she was missing out on An Important Occasion because she wanted to watch it herself. ) . But it truly seemed a bit fairy tale dress to a mid late teenager at the time.

That said a more sophisticated - well older at least - me loved Camilla's wedding dress even more.

This is my favourite Camilla evening dress, the way the wind caught it and her hair made it look even more fabulous!

I cannot link a picture but I liked the pink outfit which the late Queen wore for what I think was her Silver Jubilee. Sorry if it wasn't for that. The pink hat had tassels at the back and I have posted this before, somewhere else, that her pink shoes were T-strap ones. I hope my memory has served me well.

No, I got the shoes wrong. They were white with an ankle strap. The white shoes matched the handbag.

I loved Diana's wedding dress too! It was of its time. I saw it on display in Kensington Palace and I was mesmerised! My DDs couldn't drag me away! It's actually darker in colour than it looked in the sunshine on the day.

Oh no, I think it looked like a large bird shat on her shoulder! The turquoise dress she wore in the rain with Harry holding an umbrella over her was stunning. She should wear more bright colours! She also had a red/pink combo dress and coat that was lovely.

I loved Catherine’s gold dress. I loved the bright blue dress that Meghan wore in the “umbrella” picture and her evening wedding dress
I wasn’t a fan of Diana’s wedding dress, mainly because it was so creased when she got out of the carriage, which was I think, a mistake that the Emanuel’s have acknowledged. There was too much fabric to fit in to the carriage. I much preferred to see Diana in the less fussy clothing she wore as she got older.
I did really like the Duchess of York’s wedding dress. It was, for me, much more successful than Diana’s in that it fitted well and actually suited her
