I’m imagining Pippa from The Windsors bragging about Johnny’s wealth. He’s “not a millionaire - he’s a BILLIONAIRE!”

Id prefer to be in Pippa’s shoes. All the wealth and privilege, none of the responsibility. She gets to pick and choose (cow 🤣)

Brilliant!

Posting here as this thread is live. I learn on Twitter that Meghan's Easter affiliate links have been taken down on her ShopMy page. I've checked and they are nolonger there, including Charlotte's dress and George's pyjamas. Is their removal because a) Easter is over b) a lawyer acting for the Royal family has been in touch?

The thread about the podcasts is talking about about her merch atm if you want to post it there 🤷‍♀️

I’m sorry. What is this nonsense about them campaigning about social media today? When Meghan is alllll over it recently.

Thank you, I am too lazy to keep up with markle shit after digging in the garden all afternoon. I rely on catch ups here 😀 I hope she has had a cease and desist letter marching Windsor kids stuff, she really is the bitter end.

As far as i can tell from the BBC it's something that is going to be up for 24 hours. Everything they do is so surface which is fine with fashion but they are trying to engage with serious issues that need attention and action over years not minutes.

I was impressed by the mothers who are picketing Meta with photos of their deceased children today, but that is nothing to do with the Sussexes, as the BBC are careful to point out.

I saw this on SM today - William in South London stopping for selfies when a woman runs across the grass at him .... No motorcades or giant security details - just a couple of discreet RPOs watching from a distance.

Prince William mobbed by fans as he returns to royal duties after family break - watch

The Prince of Wales stepped out in south London

The OP requested it. I think she was genuinely posting her first ever royal adjacent thread and the discussion surprised her. Going by her comments.

That's interesting. It seems she was made to feel cornered and uncomfortable online, to the point of being silenced by people who claim to support anti-bullying. Fascinating.

Well yes, I guess Confused

Call me picky, but leaping into someone's path and excitably shoving a phone in their face isn't exactly my idea of how to carry on whether they're the PoW or anyone else, but they could hardly have tackled the lady to the ground

Understandable that they left via a back door after the Sandringham church service though, considering there were a whole bunch waiting and no obvious crowd control

Thedom · 25/04/2025 12:39

It’s a bit funny to realize Harry and Meghan’s bodyguards are as recognizable as they are, I can only imagine that’s a security issue in itself.

Indeed. They take the sensible approach that security should be appropriate and relevant to the situation. William had close protection with him on his walk to the youth centre who deemed his risk with over excited selfie takers to be low, whilst they were uncomfortable with the fairly sizeable crowd at the church. In the same way that RAVEC assess the situation around Harry and don’t feel the need to deploy the full bells and whistles treatment all the time. Even though Harry he would like them to 😆

Were the children with them at the church? That would make a difference to the risk assessment.

Yes they were

I don’t think it was a security issue at the church - much more likely that William and Kate were trying not to take the spotlight away from the King and Queen at Windsor.

All the papers would have put Kate and the kids on the front pages ahead of Charles and Camilla.

I think this too. The RF in general try not to upstage each other and these were family visits to church not state occasions or official visits.

bluegreygreen · 25/04/2025 14:27

Probably a bit of both - a crowd of 150, as reported, is a different security prospect to a couple of individuals wanting selfies.

MargaretThursday · 25/04/2025 14:31

I wonder if this is actually Harry's problem with the media; he's put out because he doesn't get the reaction from people that William does and feels he should.

It's less humiliating he thinks to pretend he doesn't want it rather than try and compete and lose.

He did when he was younger. William was always seen as more staid and more reserved, and then he was a married man and a father when Harry was still the dashing young bachelor prince.

Now it seems to have gone completely the other way. Charles and William genuinely seem to enjoy mingling with the crowds while Harry always looks tense and miserable and not approachable as he used to be.

I guess that's what publicly dissing your family and country will do to you.

Just seen a YouTube clip of him and markle arriving in New York, he looked angry and miserable. One woman called out markles name and hugged her (probably an employee miaow) he was ignored. No crowds. The are tiny fish in huge pond in New York.

Lazycatsitsonthemat · 25/04/2025 17:06

The two of them are an absolute joke now. They really are.
