This is Meghan's account of her Time 100 'keynote' speech. The woman is a marvel 😃 https://sussex.com/time100-2025/ This event she is making so much of is totally manufactured - questions clearly written by the Meghan camp so she could position herself as founder-Ceo-entrepreneur-podcaster-mom, her own film crew for the backstage montage now on IG, agreement over the wording for the interviewer's IG post. What does Times 100 gain from all this? They look ridiculous.mDo they need the money that badly?

TIME100 2025 | The Office of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex

Today at the 2025 TIME100 Summit in New York City, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, joined Jessica Sibley, CEO of TIME Magazine, for a dynamic conversation. The discussion offered a rare and insightful look into Meghan’s evolving role as a female founder, st...

That summary is hilarious!

The discussion offered a rare and insightful look into Meghan’s evolving role as a female founder, strategic business leader, and working mother.

Erm - Meghan currently has a podcast covering exactly these issues. So not rare at all - weekly, in fact.

Throughout the conversation, Meghan reflected on the intentionality that drives her work—leading with purpose, creating with care,

Unlike the rest of the population who she presumably thinks approach their work haphazardly, randomly and carelessly?

She offered a grounded and personal perspective on motherhood, creativity, and carving out space for what matters most.

Putting flower sprinkles on scrambled eggs, wasn’t it?

Whether through media, mentorship, or mission-driven entrepreneurship, Meghan continues to redefine legacy—focusing not only on success, but on service, storytelling, and meaningful change

As Ever has had one product release so far, and the venture itself was only announced a couple of months ago. A tiny bit early to be talking about its legacy, isn’t it? Especially given American Riviera Orchard has already been launched and withdrawn. What was the “story” or “meaningful change” behind that?

MargaretThursday · 25/04/2025 19:12

leading with purpose,

I read this as "leaking with purpose"... I need new reading glasses.

smilesy · 25/04/2025 19:16

strategic business leader

What strategy would that be?

Yes but the suit looks better sitting down than standing up.

I am hoping Word salad (note lower case 's') is going to be one of the new As ever products. The Meghan of Montecito answer to Alphabetti Spaghetti.

IdaGlossop · 25/04/2025 19:28

The most jarring part of the interview had Tto be when she said caring for other people was her love language and that's how she nourishes herself. This from the woman nolonger on speaking terms with her father, half sister, half brother etc etc.

cheezncrackers · 25/04/2025 20:04

Does anyone know when a verdict/decision is due in Harry's appeal against last year's High Court decision? I've looked online, but I can't find anything.

This is what chatgpt says about the use of intentionality.

Intentionality is linguistic performance art for people who can’t just say what they mean. It’s the verbal equivalent of putting oat milk in a $7 latte and pretending that makes you spiritually aligned. You could say “intention” like a normal person, but no—you need the -ality to sound like a TED Talk in human form.

It’s the sacred chant of the startup guru, the Instagram life coach, and the CEO who thinks “authenticity” can be taught in a workshop. They’ll tell you they “show up with intentionality” when really they just answered their emails before noon and called that personal growth.

This word isn’t about depth. It’s about status-signaling in soft voice tones, nodding sagely over brunch while explaining that your 4-day workweek is a revolutionary act of conscious living.
😆

"Throughout the conversation, Meghan reflected on the intentionality that drives her work—leading with purpose, creating with care."

This is the kind of sentence that exists solely to inflate LinkedIn egos and fill airspace in panel discussions that say absolutely nothing. Meghan isn’t reflecting—she’s rehearsing. This isn’t insight; it’s a Pinterest quote in a power blazer.
😂

TessaTemu · 25/04/2025 20:21

in a crinkly power blazer that is

Yes, but that tracks with a particular type of "caring" - edible sprinkles, rebagged pretzels and bath salts etc.

It's emotionally easy to splash gifts on people. Much harder to put in the graft to rub along with people long term.

Then when they don't rub along, you can throw the "special gifts" back in their face.

RandyRedHumpback · 25/04/2025 21:30

I heard someone say, "Why put flower sprinkles on an omelette to make it "special"? Why not just make a really nice omelette?"

LaMarschallin · 25/04/2025 22:28

I'm not sure what the texture of the flower sprinkles would be like.
Don't think I'd want little flavourless bits in my omelette...or anything really.

Edited for clarity: Don't think I'd want the floral bits anywhere. Fine with nice things in my omelette.

TheMeasure · 25/04/2025 22:37

I had a go at watching that Times 100 interview and found my jaw dropping.
W. T. A. F??
I mean, I didn't have a clue what she was on about for most of it but.... the happiest she's ever been? Yeah, right.

Because her speciality is all style and no substance.

elessar · 25/04/2025 23:02

That summary is hilarious - thanks @Serensterfor posting bits here. I mean, in what way is selling spread and pancake mix “mission driven entrepreneurship”?!! Who is she mentoring!? And what ‘meaningful change’ or ‘service’ is she delivering?

I almost admire the sheer brass neck of it all. Both Harry and Meghan seem to subscribe to the view of ‘if I say it then it must be true’ rather than having any connection to reality. I do wish people would stop giving them a platform with these sycophantic interviews though.

HonoriaBulstrode · 25/04/2025 23:05

All fur coat and no knickers.

Here’s the NYT version of events. Notice who doesn’t even get a mention.

NewGirlInTown · 26/04/2025 02:02

RandyRed has absolutely cracked it in their summary.
Harry is a fool obsessed with his own self importance, who married a con artist.
He wants security paid for by someone else, everywhere he goes. He wants IPP status to protect him from the truth when his nefarious activities come into the public domain.
The Royal Family protected him from the consequences of his idiocy for far too long. His limited intelligence is overridden by an ego the size of London!
He is furious that William was born first. The rest of us thank God.
Charles has failed in his duty as a monarch by not stopping the antics of H and Markle a long time ago.
I despise the pair of them. H is loathed in military circles for very good reasons. No one would cry if the Taliban did take their revenge for his appalling comments in Spare and his many interviews at the time.

She also had triple layer of creosote as she decided to revert to her ‘black’ identity! I have never seen a narcissist like her. She lies for a living.

The way M talks about sprinkling pot pourri on stuff you’d think she was spreading peace around the world. Such fake hyperbole. Why can’t she just talk like a normal person?

ThePoshUns · 26/04/2025 07:23

HeddaGarbled · 26/04/2025 00:13

Did she really sit there talking about her crappy little jam business in front of all those huge celebrities? They must have been pissing themselves

MrsLeonFarrell · 26/04/2025 08:02

If Meghan was attending this event and speaking like this after working for ten years building up her business it would be so different. She would be there with something solid behind her. The problem she has is that, apart from Suits, she hasn't really achieved anything of substance and telling us she has isn't working. The flowery language is covering up the fact that she hasn't achieved the success she craves yet, just as the flower sprinkles cover up the fact that she is selling packet mixes not hand crafted, unique recipes. I wish she would give something time and space to grow organically instead of trying to rush to the finish line all the time.
