Okay. So first of all thanks to everyone on the last thread for a really civilised discussion about Harry and his security. The Telegraph has an exclusive article where Harry claims that his security was removed to “trap” him in the RF. I’m really sorry but for some reason I am unable to archive Telegraph articles at the moment. Could anyone help?

He did, he was demanding arrests and to pacify him because he was threatening to get Gavin Newsome involved, the NYPD responded to his threats by releasing another letter to say the so called near catastrophic car chase was dangerous, however no arrests were made despite The Duke of Tantrums demands. As we now know Harry writes to lots of people making demands “or else” mostly he gets his own bullying way but occasionally he gets the finger, for example from Backgrid and Sophie Chandauka.

Why would that not surprise me!

Remove the Sussex titles on the basis that they have been used for commercial purposes, against the Sandringham Summit agreement.

I think that would be problematic given that non-royal aristocrats can freely use their titles commercially.

I think that the RF has played a blinder by grey rocking. As H&M display their vulgar behavior and abuse public resources, Americans increasingly perceive them as a toxic, negative and miserable couple who misrepresent the truth. H&M's credibility is tanking in the US and any new accusations against the RF will be treated very skeptically.

In addition, every leader of every nation has been in New York for the UN General Assembly at some point, and all of these leaders plus their entourages have endured NYC traffic. Most wealthy people have at some point visited NYC and have endured NYC traffic. The RF knows that anyone who is anyone empirically knows that H&M do not tell the truth.

There is no way you can have a high-speed chase in midtown because of basic Newtonian physics...unless you pay a ton of money to shut down the West Side Highway at 2am in the morning to shoot a movie.

There's no need for the RF to step in , H&M are doing just fine on their own , give them enough rope, as they say.

You can find the story behind that conclusion online from those who were involved in working out the goings on and its obvious the conclusion isn’t worth the paper it’s written on.

Have read Harry and Meghan are taking the Kardashian route of courting controversy, no bad publicity and all that,, in an effort to continually keep their name in the media.

It is an observation that does makes sense, they seem to have given up all pretence at wanting to appear to have any credible reputation or authenticity.

Probably as much as anything a case of big country with Kyiv at one end, Lviv at the other, a busy diary (in Z's case)...makes sense to let the appropriate minister handle it.

Zelensky is no fool. He needs NATO and the EU. He needs the support of the UK. These are very dangerous times, and he won't want to risk anything for the sake of pandering to some over privileged royal.

I guess so, I didn't realise Lviv was only 40 miles from the Polish border, most of the celebs and dignitaries who have met with Zelensky have been much closer to the real war zone.

The King has met him on more than one occasion, and to be welcomed to Sandringham was significant. It all tied in with going to No10, meeting with Sir Keir and having the summit at Lancaster House.

Yes, why would he need armed specialist protection officers to attend a wedding in Chelsea? How does he manage in California? Yes, I know his bodyguards can carry arms but they are still private citizens with no special privileges. Not to mention that, as discussed, he happily travels to countries with very poor safety records.

This really is a some kind of weird vendetta against his family and his country. Using the publicly funded law courts as his forum.

The whole thing was very weird because NYPD sent 2 letters that contradicted each other. It was suspected that Harry applied pressure for the second letter as it was suddenly sent during a security court case.

The whole thing was very odd though. From the footage I saw at the time it looked annoying but not dangerous (a pap on a bicycle taking pictures) - well apart from Harry's security team trying to block intersections in NY (think they were spoken to by police). The biggest "danger" was them changing vehicles into an unvetted taxi. They were in a 4 car motorcade so why not call police or drive to a police station or a hotel if they felt under threat?

I think Harry's paranoia is such that he perceives every other car on the road as a "threat" and "chasing him" - we saw that when he claimed to have been "chased by paps" at a Well Child event in Kew gardens - yet the videos show no such thing - we there might have been an Uber Eats driver on the road at the same time. Harry needs MH help more than security.

Good points, @Lunde , especially your last paragraph. There was a strange scene in their Netflix series when H&M were being driven somewhere. Meghan kept pointing out other vehicles on the road and Harry became increasingly fractious and irritable. None of those vehicles contained paps or anyone intent on harm. It was very odd.
