Agree. It's put then between a rock and a hard place really. Condemn your hit squad and risk having them turn on you? Or stand by your publicly stated principles and condemn the vicious racism that's been unleashed on SC? Decisions, decisions.

LemonLeaves · 02/04/2025 06:39

I am baffled by how unlucky the DoS is with her timing - every time she does something, it seems to encounter a hurdle. Some of which are avoidable (such as trademarking issues), but others which are beyond her control, such as the Cali wildfires and now this.

I don't really get the As Ever thing but then I'm not the target market. She needs to make money, good luck to her. But would she be so naive as to have supported PH with making this statement? It was completely foreseeable that it would kick off an absolute shit show.

The trouble to my mind is that Harry was never a working Royal in any real sense until he got engaged to Meghan. Then all of a sudden he was doing lots of engagements. I thought it was crazy. Why on earth was it allowed? He’s patently not made of the right stuff and she was a complete novice and newcomer. They weren’t even married. Then they are sent off on a huge tour when Meghan is in early pregnancy, a time when any woman feels exhausted . Factor in jet lag and all the rest of it, it was madness. Meghan may have said she wanted all that, but someone, ( the Queen) should have put their foot firmly down. Harry should have been given a few lightweight engagements in line with his interests to see how he got on. Meghan should have been prepared slowly and carefully over time.

Harry is unfit for public life . He’s childish, not bright, and impatient. She is just a car crash because all she cares about is feeding her insatiable ego. They are both in the wrong job so to speak. I wish they would quietly disappear and live meaningful lives away from the media . Stop strutting around demanding attention and likes and just shut up. Everything they do is more tone deaf and venal than the last. It is jaw dropping how insensitive and grasping they are. It’s exhausting to watch and read about but somehow it’s compulsive because it’s just not believable really.

This is an excellent post

SatinBall · 02/04/2025 06:56

Has harry never been taught diplomacy and conflict management as part of his royal upbringing? And why does he feel the need to pressure people into making positive comments about his wife to help polish her image and reputation? It's all very awkward and rather cult like. I mean Meghan was a very minor actress and now is a very minor royal. With Harry's alleged drug use and increasingly erratic and inappropriate behaviour, he should be removed for the succession.

CoffeeCantata · 02/04/2025 07:24

He’s a mischievous guy and not the sharpest tool in the shed, but he has a big heart, and for that, I’ll forgive him almost anything.

O wow! Someone has definitely swallowed the Kool-aid, as so many Sussex supporters like to say. Harry is a spiteful, spoilt, petty and vengeful idiot.

There really is no limit to what some people are prepared to ignore in order to maintain their almost religious faith in Harry and Meghan, is there? One of the reasons I find H & M so fascinating is the psychology of their fans. Anyone who's still standing in that demographic must be doing some serious mental and moral contortion.

Some fresh entrails to sift through from the Mail+ (archived for your convenience: https://archive.ph/3jTaI).

Alas, without the stalwart contributions of Rousette and MrsMaxdeWinter from days gone by, it's a lonely furrow to plough in trying to add a dash of dissent to the prevailing "Hang Harry Even Higher" sentiment. If this circus ends up focusing more on Ms. Chanuka’s conduct than on Harry and the trustees, I strongly suspect the outrage machine will simply churn on to its next manufactured scandal—probably something jam-related rather than anything remotely salient.

I'm off to Bakewell today for a family reunion, so my ability to weigh in further will be sadly limited. Wishing you all a good day!

Lifestooshort71 · 02/04/2025 07:31

'They missed out on a great front page headline, "Prince Harry outs himself as a Racist Pariah ?'

Or "Prince Harry gives it the finger"

I think the actual goings on at Sentebale have now been somewhat eclipsed by Harry’s “friend’s” personal attack on Sophie Chandauka, don’t you think? Although given that you haven’t even bothered to spell her name correctly, maybe not 🤷‍♀️

This sounds like a “ boys will be boys” mentality. I despair when I hear grown women coming out with this stuff. It’s naive and dopey and allows dangerous and/or incompetent men to gain power.

I couldn’t help but notice that some here have invoked Trump, hoping he might have revoked his visa in days gone by. Quoting The Sun on anything, though—surely that’s never a good look?
But then, I get it. This is war—a Praetorian guard assembled around the Crown. Thankfully, just a war of words, but a war nonetheless.

What a stretch!

The RF have nothing to do with this scandal. I think that's what is bugging you really.

It's about Harry and Meghan - their crass, entitled, boorish behaviour and their pathetic attempts to escape fair criticism and own their mistakes.

I’m not entirely sure why you’re quoting me, Vera! Do you see Trump as a Mischievous guy?

MummyJ12 · 02/04/2025 07:50

If it’s a war as you claim @vera99 then there’s only H&M and their supporters on the battlefield and they’re falling on their own swords.

Absolutely not—the utter opposite. A truly vile creature in every respect. My point is this: having lurked here in times past, I noticed plenty of mischief in speculating about Trump turning on Harry over his visa and drug use. An uneasy ally at best in this so-called war, I’d say.

You can keep trying to drag the RF into this scandal, but it won't work. This debacle is entirely of Harry's own making. Why don't you try to own it?

Enjoy Bakewell - if you have a tart, I hope you sprinkle some flower petals on it to celebrate launch day.

I was also going to commend @vera99 on her complex mental gymnastics to have come up with that response to @Ohpleeeease 's post and the thread in total 🙄

PrettyFlyforaMaiTai · 02/04/2025 08:07

In case anyone missed it, @vera99 basically excused Harry’s past (and current) racist behaviour as him being “mischievous” and because he has a “big heart” so I recommend that everyone ignore her racist enabler comments from now on.

jeffgoldblum · 02/04/2025 08:08

Load of cobblers!
where is trump on this thread?
this is manufactured by no one but Harry himself, who yet again displays his hypocrisy, arrogance, lies and bullying nature!

Profhilodisaster · 02/04/2025 08:09

I just can't get over why Harry thought it a good idea to get his mate to release that awful statement on his behalf. He's a grown man fgs , why can't he speak for himself? I guess it gives him the chance to deny he gave it his approval if (when) it backfires. He really must be unwell,

People with “a big heart” don’t behave the way H does.

I’m baffled by your assertion and how you can evidence/justify it.

His behaviour when his grandfather was very unwell and then latterly his grandmother was appalling and lacking in any empathy whatsoever. The interviews/book/statements etc show a lack of compassion, emotional immaturity and self awareness of his own good fortune.

He’s thrown his entire family under the bus repeatedly.

Wanting to live a different life, free of royal constraints and protocol would have been perfectly understandable and reasonable IF they had also been prepared to forgo their royal privileges.

But they don’t want that. They want the titles, the deference, the platform, the free security and most of all to be able to monetise that without giving back anything to the institution/family and country the provides the platform for an unearned privileged position they were born or married into.

H is not mischievous. Vicious would be a more apt description.

He is not big hearted. He is self centred and egocentric.

The more information that comes to light, the worse this debacle gets in respect of H’s standing and reputation.

100% agree 👏

IAmATorturedPoet · 02/04/2025 08:21

The posts by @vera99 are a load of nonsense.
Who excuses racism, bullying and mysogyny because the offender has a big heart (and advises those who do have an issue with it to just ignore it) - absolutely no-one.

These posts just come across as attention seeking to me or possibly could be someone who has given themselves over to a cult where the 'almighty one' must be worshipped and defended at all costs.

Bloody weird whatever.
