Checking in, I've found the other one fascinating.

Thedom · 29/03/2025 13:09

Thanks Words.

I saw it pointed out Dr. Chandauka said the request to step in and help out Meghan in the PR sphere was in April 2024, which was just after Catherine announced her cancer diagnosis and when Meghan had her first lot of Insta friends unveil her jam job.

They keep repeating the same old tricks.

coolmum123 · 29/03/2025 13:22

I believe that about Dr C being asked to defend MM. They have form for this. Didn’t H also ring up David Beckham to complain about Victoria leaking a story in the press or something. Meghan seems to get H to a lot of the dirty work for her.

DancingFerret · 29/03/2025 13:31

This article from today's Telegraph indicates Dr Chandauka didn't appreciate being pushed around by Harry's wife for the prize-giving photoshoot at last year's polo match in Miami. It's behind a paywall, but the link should open it.

Makes me wonder if Meghan's behaviour wasn't the catalyst for this Sentebale row; Dr Chandauka doesn't strike me as someone who appreciates being pushed around - especially by someone who has form for changing her ethnicity at the drop of a hat to suit whatever narrative she wants to promote.

But again, even if it's true why the hell would they expect the lady chairing Sentebale to pitch in on this when she's surely got much more to do?

I appreciate she presents as a decent, principled and very able lady, but so do plenty of others, some of them actual PR professionals ... so why not them?

Thedom · 29/03/2025 13:44

It sounds as though it is as a result of the social media criticism of Meghan pushing the Chair out of the way at the polo winners presentation, and Harry expected / demanded her to counter that criticism by saying something nice about Meghan. When she refused, their relationship took a nosedive and Harry got to his mates on the Trustee board to begin making things difficult for her.

We have seen their PR operating like that time and time again, and as recently as this week with GP helping out with Sussex PR.

It sounds like she has plenty of other concerns about how the charity was run, but maybe that intervention by Harry opened up her eyes to how poor the governance in the organisation really was.

@bemusedAmerican - Re bumming a free flight to Lesotho ( previous thread ) - as hard as trying to get one on Air Force One.

It does seem that a lot of PHs fallings out with people seem to stem from his anger at other people not falling in line to worship his wife as he does. Perhaps the Queen was right when she reportedly said something about Harry being “too” in love with Meghan.

Thedom · 29/03/2025 14:18

This is just something else and it is so believable.

Harry then demanded that she make a statement to the press, basically saying ‘Megan wasn’t mean to me’, and she refused to do that.”

The source alleged that the Duke “behaved inappropriately in asking her to talk to the press” and later joined with the trustees in seeking to remove her.

“Ever since that point, they’ve tried their best to move her out, using the trustees in order to undermine her, demean her and try and force her hand,” the source said.

AtIusvue · 29/03/2025 14:23

Telegraph:

The Telegraph understands this devastating breakdown in trust was fuelled by an awkward moment captured on camera last April, during an annual Sentebale charity polo match in Miami, when the Duke captained the winning team.
As the players and their partners gathered on the podium for a post-match photograph, Meghan appeared to instruct Ms Chandauka to move away from Harry as he celebrated his win.
The Duchess was filmed asking the Zimbabwe-born lawyer, who stood on Harry’s right, to move to her left side away from her husband, as he kept his arm tightly around the Duchess, forcing her to duck under the trophy to switch position.

The awkward moment on the polo podium was captured on video
The brief encounter generated huge publicity and behind the scenes, the Sussexes were said to be furious.
One well-placed source said this moment was the catalyst for the falling-out with Ms Chandauka.
“Ultimately, it comes down to that polo match and the awkward moment with Megan moving her out the way,” the source said.
“Harry then demanded that she make a statement to the press, basically saying ‘Megan wasn’t mean to me’, and she refused to do that.”

This is so damning! It sounds like he decided to be awkward and difficult, because Meg didn’t get positive press.

Harry is a lost cause.

x post. Sorry

Thedom · 29/03/2025 14:29

I guess it is now more than likely Dominic Reid stepped down as CEO of Invictus after 10 years, for similar reasons to do with Meghan.

SirHoglet · 29/03/2025 14:31

That's pretty corrupt and an abuse of power. I hope Harry will learn this time that perhaps he really is an unsussexful has been. His USP was being a member of the British royal family. Now he is honorary chairman of the sussex squad. 🙌

Meghan was inexcusably rude during that prize giving episode. Why was she even there, let alone clinging to the trophy and pushing herself into the middle of the photo? Self publicity? She's never had anything to do with the charity as far as I know.

AtIusvue · 29/03/2025 14:37

He seems to have a real problem if he thinks Meghan has been slighted etc

Reminds me of the show that Will Smith made of himself at the Oscars

It just makes him look insecure and pathetic

Thedom · 29/03/2025 14:37

Wonder how Oprah, Tyler Perry, and the Kennedy Ripple Award feel about the idea of a strong educated black woman, with lots of credibility, being denigrated publicly by the couple they took under their wing in such a public manner. Will Oprah call them out like she calls out others..

oh and their photographer friend, cant remember his name

JSMill · 29/03/2025 14:39

If H really tried to force out the CEO of a charity targeting some of the poorest people in the world because of his wife’s rude behaviour towards her at a polo match then he is truly a despicable person. M is never ever responsible for her own behaviour and he is willing to walk away from a charity he founded because of her.
I find it interesting that M is happy to be photographed at many Invictus events but has never been to Lesotho. I only think she is interested in charity when there are cameras around.

You nailed it with self-publicity - she relentlessly pursues anything and anybody capable of raising her profile.

AtIusvue · 29/03/2025 14:45

It’s always someone else’s problem with Meghan.

  • Harry was told she was rude- Harry started a fight with William
  • Harry was told Meghan can’t demand to have a tiara- Harry said what Meghan wants Meghan gets
  • Harry makes out it was the toxic press that caused the bad headlines, not Megs daft behaviour (empath bananas anyone?),
  • -Harry makes out that his family were cold and unwelcoming- not that meghan can’t seem to read a room and has no self awareness.
  • Staff have left both the palace and in the US over her alleged bullying behaviour and she can still do not wrong in his eyes.

He cannot see that she’s rude, entitled and even people thinking she’s a bully. The guy is an absolute fruit loop, completely detached from reality.

Alarming right?

She’s never the one to get into the argument…always him sent to do the dirty work.

Now he’s left the charity set up in his mother’s name over it.

He’s completely bonkers

Words · 29/03/2025 14:49

Agreed. I suspect he is being relentlessly bullied at home too, and poison being metaphorically dripped in his ear to goad him into action. Not that it's any excuse.

I initially assumed wrongdoing on the part of Dr Chandauka on the basis that Prince Seeiso had resigned from his role with the charity, but these details are making me question that. Possibly he's just been swayed by his long friendship with Harry?

sleetysnowflakes · 29/03/2025 15:01

She must have receipts (emails etc) to make such bold allegations

Thedom · 29/03/2025 15:07

Kind of refreshing to be on to the 2nd thread discussing Harry and Meghan public behaviour without the usual defenders hopping on and calling posters racists and dogwhistlers..

Don't know if we should be thanking Harry or Dr. Chandauka for that😂
