OP: If you are quoting the Daily Mail, then you're looking for information in the wrong place. The Daily Mail couldn't care about what's going on Lesotho, they couldn't care about the lives of people with HIV, black women, or women in general.

Their sole objective is to boot Harry because he challenged the media over illegally accessing his phone messages.

You should be reserving judgement till the report comes out (and reading the report, not the Daily Mail reporting of the report).

I'm the last person who will defend the daily mail but when I looked they were mainly reporting on the blistering statement made by Dr Sophie Chandauka, and they certainly didn't fabricate that.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 26/03/2025 11:17

I agree that assistance from professional staff in the RF could have helped

So do I, @TizerorFizz, but only if those advisers were listened to, and it's well reported that even Charles had nearly two dozen "charities", often set up on a princely whim with many duplicating each other's efforts

Unfortunately this is what often happens when vanity's involved, which is why the presence of big names - though good for attracting attention - can be a double edged sword

Why was my post deleted? I was simply quoting Trump! It was a current affairs reference.

Lesotho shocked by Donald Trump's remarks that 'nobody has heard of the country' - BBC News

I must admit I thought you might be quoting Trump, but I think your post was a bit too clever and was misconstrued 😆

I always wondered about the link up to Polo. It may have seemed like a great idea originally to tap up Harry's contacts in the sport that is dominated by the uber wealthy.

The events were very flashy with huge corporate sponsors - But the charity's income from these glamorous events seemed modest at about £1 million per year (about the cost of 2-3 polo ponies) and the idea of shipping teams very rich people and hundreds of horses around the world seemed a bit at odds with the charity focus on rural populations in Africa.

ColourlessGreenIdeasSleepFuriously · 26/03/2025 11:27

And tbf that Trump gaffe was what, a week ago, so prehistory as far as US news goes these days 😁

It’s 2025, Euro Princes princing about Africa, is it a good look.

He’s best off resigning from African Parks too.

Perhaps he should think local, maybe there’s a less affluent area in Monticeto he can help support, have pics taken with local kids etc…..wait, that’s right. There isn’t one.

Photo op at the Californian wildfires didn't go well, talk about shitting on your own doorstep. He was not one of the large donors, so not interested in local charity.

Absolutely. Massively adding to climate change is an odd way of helping rural Africans. Rather than, IDK, paying fair tax and lobbying for fair trade.

If the charity commission report doesn't go the way H would like then wonder if he'll do the same as Tom Moore's daughter and release a statement calling them liars and awful bullies. Maybe Hannah will lend him her script.

That would be consistent with his previous behaviour when the Sandringham Summitt didnt go his way .... except his snark back was amplified with a book, interviews and a NF docuseries.

it is interesting reading social media, it does leave a few squirming, Meghan and the racists in the royal family came from Harry as she was not in the room and many have taken that as gospel because Meghan repeated it and here we have a dark skinned African woman being judged on whether she feels her race and sex are being discriminated against and the same people want further information. It seems you can add colorism to misogynoir.

Yes !
I was about to comment on this double standard myself!
this is an important issue, more important than a tongue in cheek critique thread about selling clothes, a thread where everyone who wasn’t team Meghan were branded as obsessed, deranged racists .
this thread is not about Meghan but Harry .
meghan fans took her word as gospel when she branded the royal family racist, there was no proof.

now we have half of those posters on this thread glibly waving away the statement of a “proud , strong and intelligent black woman “ to give Harry the benefit of the doubt that wasn’t extended to others.

PippistrelleBat · 26/03/2025 11:46

What is Harry doing these days?

TizerorFizz · 26/03/2025 11:50

Harry is all about getting money out of others. He is above giving! He’s about making the rest of us aware of his concerns and telling us to support him. He’s no obvious platform any more so what IS he doing? Being a dad maybe? He’s got time.

Thedom · 26/03/2025 11:50

Yes, I note a few of the posters who always throw out those comments are surprisingly silent on this thread.

To what end? Meghan seems to have gone it alone Netflix wise. Is he recording or producing anything? Any ‘charitable’ works? He has the money to just be a dad and live off his assets but only if he pulled in his spending. Perhaps he has decided to take that course? 🤔

Have you read Dr Sophie’s statement? It was a lighthearted response! I wasn’t discussing Meghan here.

That statement is brutal. Good for her for calling Harry out. He is a total hypocrite & I think more will come out about him now.

The fact it was a clever quote was not all obvious and made you look horribly racist/ patronising.
Probably wise not to quote Trump; no good usually comes of it!

I suspect this is a big element, loads of sticky fingers in the charity pot to put on, pay for friends exorbitant travel accommodation etc, lavish food, booze, prizes, clothing etc etc from the charity to then make a small amount back again for the charity - literally taking from the mouths of babes. I may be wrong but that's my guess, otherwise why would Dr Sophie be allowed to challenge in court, be upheld and is sweeping out the bloodsuckers to ensure the monies raised aren't squandered! But like I say, just my opinion

I did mean the PP.
I'm rubbish at replying, forever quoting the wrong person.
Often just reply to myself repeatedly 😁

Harry and Meghan do seem to unintentionally drag each other down when one is of them is attempting good PR. Meghan must be thing WTF I've just got Gwyneth
