A genuinely nice and friendly thread about Meghan

Hi everyone! As suggested on another thread, I’m starting this to provide some balance to the MM / MS threads which have been perceived as bullying and not joyful.

So please feel free to join in and share something pleasant and joyful about your day or any comments about MM / MS as an antidote if the other threads have caused you upset. Please be nice!

I’ll begin by saying that writing notes by hand is a lovely thing to do, and conveys sincerity beyond any effusive email or text message. And nice handwriting is a bonus! Hand cramp is a problem of the digital age.

Also, I’ve watched two episodes of the series now, and I love the garden plants in California. Waiting for the spring to bloom here!

I love a nice, friendly thread.

Noone is perfect and I like how some are bucking the trend of trying to present themselves and perfect in every aspect because noone is. Just like the trend where some companies started using real women and not airbrushing imperfections out im liking celebrities and influences etc. Who also aren't always posting perfect insta posts, who make mistakes, who are just more real as that is what we can all relate to more.

This drive for perfection does no one any good. I loved Pamela Anderson going make up free as does Paltrow.

It makes such a refreshing change from the photoshopping and impossible standards women contend with.

Yes and I think women should also stop comparing women. If one wants to age gracefully that's their personal decision, another doesn't and wants to sye their hair do botox that's their choice to. No need to make snarky comments that one person's choice is better than someone elses etc.

I've seen the Gwyneth video ( good job I didn't blink 😂 ) . I think that's a good riposte to any "mean girl" accusation. Given that GP does seem to have a sense of humour and can make fun of herself I think her original breakfast clip was so tongue in cheek.

It was pointed out on here by several people at the time that this supposed " rivalry" was started by fans on insta etc of both the women concerned and by gossip magazines. Sadly this type of avid fan base is out there as we all know and have witnessed . Some fans can't be content and have to spill over into targeting of the other fans or celebrities. No one knows the truth but we do know that it's a dog eat dog life and they are all out for their share of it .

Yet you constantly post snarky comments and lay into people - why do you care? You don't know her blah blah . You berate people for commenting about Meghan. Maybe you should tend to your own goats first ?

Asking someone why they care when they don't know someone well is a question. I'm not laying into a person it's a genuine question. 💁‍♀️ why do you care whether someone wearing 100% linen has creases because that is what happens when you wear linen? So yes why do you care about that? Because I don't understand why anyone would so I'm asking to go find out

I was confused by the clip with Gwyneth so thank you to those who explained the context.

They did it well. Such a small thing but it made a big statement.

Meghan and Gwyneth have done a great job showing up the likes of the DM and those that jump on their articles to spread hate, without saying much at all. Very funny.

I liked the Gwyneth video too, a little light relief. Today my main bit of joyfulness was slowing down to look at the cherry blossoms that have suddenly sprung forth in the past week. I also skewered some fruits for a chocolate fondue (no tea light involved, just chocolate bunged in a microwave) for a group of children who finished all of it.

This is the sort of shit I can’t stand, the persistent mocking and sarcastic comments. What sort of adults do that? It also weakens any actual real points they may have about Meghan anyway so its really does them no favours.

So do we think Gwyneth will be a guest on the podcast? That would be good. I’m pleased that Gwyneth wasn’t actually throwing shade at Meghan and that she has shown that but a podcast appearance would be even better to show support.
