A genuinely nice and friendly thread about Meghan

Hi everyone! As suggested on another thread, I’m starting this to provide some balance to the MM / MS threads which have been perceived as bullying and not joyful.

So please feel free to join in and share something pleasant and joyful about your day or any comments about MM / MS as an antidote if the other threads have caused you upset. Please be nice!

I’ll begin by saying that writing notes by hand is a lovely thing to do, and conveys sincerity beyond any effusive email or text message. And nice handwriting is a bonus! Hand cramp is a problem of the digital age.

Also, I’ve watched two episodes of the series now, and I love the garden plants in California. Waiting for the spring to bloom here!

Probably best if you PM the poster concerned rather than resurrect a thread and ask people not to post!

we are not technically friendly enough for that familiarity, especially as we are technically on opposite sides of the h and m debacle!
however, she has been missing for quite awhile and I was worried.

I think it could have easily been predicted that resurrecting the thread would turn into some sort of argument. So many shit stirrers here.

@jeffgoldblum You don’t have to be familiar with a poster to PM, and if you class yourself as worried about a poster’s welfare I would say you are friendly enough to PM them, being worried about a poster personally shouldn’t be the reason to resurrect a zombie thread and highlight them publicly, if they haven’t posted for a while either leave them be or contact them privately.

And the thread title asked for a nice thread about Meghan and look how that went, so you could have been in no doubt what starting the thread up again would cause. Let’s not pretend otherwise and act all innocent.

If someone is genuinely worried about another’s welfare, contact MNHQ. Anything else is inappropriate at best, and possibly just trying to cause issues at worst.

we are not at school, we are all adults, so pardon me if I refuse to be responsible for other posters comments, if they cannot help themselves that is a them problem not mine!

tag team attacks are old hat and obvious to me and other longtime posters.
and targeting me when i havent actually posted anything critical just makes you look like bullies frankly!

@jeffgoldblum It would have been much better if you just held your hands up and said yes I should have sent a private message to a poster whose welfare I am concerned about rather than resurrect a zombie thread and ask people not to post, this is on you I’m afraid, you really are just digging yourself into a deeper hole with each post.

by the way if someone is actually policing a thread it involves them telling people what they can discuss!

simply stating that I was just tagging someone and wasn’t restarting the thread , so don’t feel you need to rush to post , is simply not the same as telling people not to post .

Tbf, Jeff posted about Samcro’s whereabouts on 12/07 (if you look back a few pages). The “journalist” who suddenly appeared on a couple of threads then posted an argumentative post 3 days later on 15/07. So I think it might have been resurrected by someone with nefarious intentions at some point anyway 🤷‍♀️

When a PM would have been far simpler and would more likely have come to the attention of the poster you are concerned about, talk about making life difficult for yourself.

Well yes @smilesy! It was crickets till then! 🙄 and the subsequent poster had resurrected other zombie threads too!
however it’s always obvious when new or name change poster’s suddenly decide to target me isn’t it! 🤷‍♀️

No one is targeting you, you’ve made a mountain out of a molehill, just PM the poster!

Just because you think sending unsolicited pms to other posters is fine , doesn’t mean it is!

I didn't know that. How do you get permission to PM them without PMing them?!

I PMd a poster who had an upsetting event in real life, and I had had the same. I just messaged her telling her that I had experienced it too, and SHE (they?!) really appreciated it.
Anyone can ignore private messages if they so want.

Both that poster and myself have mentioned our children in passing!
it wasn’t some groundbreaking secret!
and if she wasn’t able or wanted to reply she could just ignore ( which was the case ) .
you however seem to be very interested in bringing this up ?

You ask obviously, have you not seen posters do so on threads?

I have never seen a poster post "can I PM you" and wait for a reply saying yes or no.

I have seen "I have PMd you" which is quite different.
