Hi everyone! As suggested on another thread, I’m starting this to provide some balance to the MM / MS threads which have been perceived as bullying and not joyful.

So please feel free to join in and share something pleasant and joyful about your day or any comments about MM / MS as an antidote if the other threads have caused you upset. Please be nice!

I’ll begin by saying that writing notes by hand is a lovely thing to do, and conveys sincerity beyond any effusive email or text message. And nice handwriting is a bonus! Hand cramp is a problem of the digital age.

Also, I’ve watched two episodes of the series now, and I love the garden plants in California. Waiting for the spring to bloom here!

I didn't know that. How do you get permission to PM them without PMing them?!

I PMd a poster who had an upsetting event in real life, and I had had the same. I just messaged her telling her that I had experienced it too, and SHE (they?!) really appreciated it.
Anyone can ignore private messages if they so want.

you may have missed it , there was a spate of unpleasant spam pms and pictures sent to posters awhile back.

I have never seen a poster post "can I PM you" and wait for a reply saying yes or no.

I have seen "I have PMd you" which is quite different.

No need to help me. I would find that very unusual and having been here on and off ages, have never seen anyone ask and wait for a reply.
How strange to do that. Would be rather embarrassing for the poster to have to say "I would really rather you didn't send me a message" 😂😂😂

Puts them in a very awkward position! Much better to send a PM and let them ignore it!

The “journalist” who suddenly appeared on a couple of threads then posted an argumentative post 3 days later on 15/07. So I think it might have been resurrected by someone with nefarious intentions at some point anyway 🤷‍♀️

Just checked back over the timelines and the argumentative post was not @jeffgoldblum who, for all we know, had received a PM from that poster and all was good and nothing more was said or needed to be said. The post that kicked it all off again was the argumentative post and ghost on 15th from Radice.

No need to make a 'drama' out of what was an innocuous post addressed to another MN poster.

we are not at school, we are all adults, so pardon me if I refuse to be responsible for other posters comments, if they cannot help themselves that is a them problem not mine!

tag team attacks are old hat and obvious to me and other longtime posters.
and targeting me when i havent actually posted anything critical just makes you look like bullies frankly!

Well Meghan hasnt 'posted' anything critical but you target her... so guess that makes you look like a bully
