Hi everyone! As suggested on another thread, I’m starting this to provide some balance to the MM / MS threads which have been perceived as bullying and not joyful.

So please feel free to join in and share something pleasant and joyful about your day or any comments about MM / MS as an antidote if the other threads have caused you upset. Please be nice!

I’ll begin by saying that writing notes by hand is a lovely thing to do, and conveys sincerity beyond any effusive email or text message. And nice handwriting is a bonus! Hand cramp is a problem of the digital age.

Also, I’ve watched two episodes of the series now, and I love the garden plants in California. Waiting for the spring to bloom here!

Here we go again . I will attach their statement . Again . No mention of being hounded out etc etc .
It is awful that there were death threats etc just as it was awful that someone tried to kidnap Princess Anne , someone fired shots at the late Queen , someone broke into her bedroom , someone threatened to kill Prince George etc etc . Just as the comments and accusations around Catherine last year and William’s alleged affair .
All terrible .
But the bottom line is that H and M didn’t get their own way and the rest , as they say, is history.

Let it go......

Mylovelygreendress · 24/03/2025 13:28

If that’s aimed at me @Spectre8 then no , if I see I accuracies I am entitled to challenge them.

There will never be a reconciliation . I would bet my last banana on that.

Maybe not.

I don’t speak to some of my family members and when people say ‘it would be lovely if you reconciled’, I just think, ‘no it fucking wouldn’t’. I can’t stand them, I don’t want to ever be in the same room with them, I don’t want them seeing my children, I will never forgive and forget. People romanticising a reconciliation don’t know what they’re talking about. Maybe Harry and Meghan feel the same. Maybe Charles, William and Kate do too. Sometimes family are better off having no contact because problems are just too big. I think people think Harry and Meghan are desperate to be back in the fold, when to me it looks like they’re getting on with life without them and the same for Charles, William and Kate. Who knows though, they could all be talking regularly, secrets can be kept when people want them to be. I’m sure there are many things we don’t know.

That's an anodyne statement released to the public. It doesn't go into the reasons behind their decision. It's no proof of anything.

There seems to be some gaslighting going on. I'm sure people remember the terrible press Meghan got and still receives in the UK. We can all see it and it's still available if you look.

Harry released a statement about it asking for it to stop. Yet some will swear till they're blue in the face that it didn't happen.

But it's so boring. It's been said a million times. Some people think they were hounded out. Some don't.
That's the end of the story.

Spectre8 · 24/03/2025 13:38

You know yday there was a na article in daily mail about meghan not following royal.protocol or making a mistake from her time when she was in the royal family. Another regurgitated article.

Why? Move the heck on media! Seriously shoukd everyone's mistakes (if it was one) be continually brought up over and over again. 🙄

There are some you don't but silly stuff like this, let it go. She has moved on so what's the purpose of dragging it up again and again. Other to keep on dragging down a woman.

Exactly this. We don't know what goes on behind closed doors. Who knows who is speaking to who. Harry & Meghan have made their life elsewhere after an unsatisfactory time within the institution that is the royal family. No doubt there is contact here and there with different members of the family. We won't know though.

I don't know who they is. All I know is this thread has gone off course.

And there's probably no hope for it.

Unsatisfactory because they couldn’t get their half in half out agreement?

No point in discussing this with you. 'It didn't work for them', if you don't like the word 'unsatisfactory'.

I do feel on this thread that certain posters are determined to bait others

I doubt if William has any contact . Firstly , he didn’t answer texts from Harry about going to the Queen’s bedside in Balmoral . Secondly , H and M found out about Catherine’s cancer at the same time as the public.
Both verified by Harry .

It was a genuine question because isn’t this assumption why they left?

I agree with you here - why do the press keep dragging this same old stuff up when there is a new batch of delights daily !

As I said. It didn't work for them. That's it.

If that's your assumption on the half in half out arrangement, that's fine.

The poster didn’t blame his family. It is possible to blame Harry and acknowledge that experience from childhood can impact us. The poster explicitly said that and I would have been frustrated at your refusal to understand too. They have done the right thing in saying they will no longer be replying to you rather than arguing further.

No they did blame his family

decoratedgranolabanana · 24/03/2025 14:05

@Maitri108how can you say the Sussexes statement isn't proof of anything ? They issued it . Are you suggesting they lied in this?

Harry said in the Netflix docusoap that their 2020 exit was 2 years in the making. There was no hounding out. It was clearly always their plan to go. He said it himself.

No they didn’t. You misunderstood for one of the reasons they mentioned or maybe another reason.

I disagree. They did. They looked for excuses for Harry’s behaviour
