Meghan is a public figure, entirely by her own choice. People get to have opinions about her, even if they are mean-spirited or rather hot takes.

I would not expect a Catholic Priest to wade in with horrible comments about a woman he doesn't know

Like 98% of the rest of those who viewed he is having a right laugh about the SHOW and the mediocrity of Meghan's presenting skills. He claims the show is so bad, it's actually good.

It is all very tongue in cheek, he jokingly says commoners are really aristocracy down on their luck, and a few other funny lines about the Royal Family and Trump..

So what I’m reading here is basically, priests, members of the church, celebrities, politicians and basically anyone in the public eye are not allowed to voice their opinions of Meghan unless it’s praise!

Well, yes. He has an opinion about the show, and Meghan's presenting abilities. Even Catholic priests are allowed their own opinion about secular matters such as a NF show.

Fr Brendan Kilcoyne isn’t lying though, is he? He’s giving his opinion on the content of an extremely frivolous TV show, not the content of someone’s character.

Some of his allusions are very witty.

As I said, surely even Catholic priests are allowed to criticise a secular tv show if they don't like it?

I do apologise to you most sincerely jeffgoldblum. Your comment about famous people, priests, celebs etc not allowed to comment was right in the middle of a series of posts between me and other posters. I wrongly assumed it was directed at me when you talked of a lot of censorship of people.
Very relieved to hear it's nothing to do with me, phew!

As for the 'you all', I did explain what I meant in a post... it was the posters who had a different opinion to me and who were responding at the time to me, that's all.
