Markle's logo is similar to the logo on the back of the crew jackets for Madonna's Blond Ambition tour.

Is there anything original about this woman?

Or...you could just read the second linked article which makes it clear the influencer expressed concern that Meghan would be attacked for the show and Meghan sent a humorous note which the Influencer was delighted to receive and then declared herself a lifelong fan. But that doesn't fit with the Mumsnet mean girls narrative.

Exactly that. But it has to be twisted into something sinister, otherwise there'd be no Meghan is disgustingly awful threads and how would posters cope?!
This alternative scenario of Meghan is being passing aggressive, twirly handwriting and crowns like Madonna can now be discussed for a thousand posts 🤣😂

That makes more sense. Why do posters try to twist what actually happened?Influencers want to be found, they have mailing addresses for people and businesses to send thing to so she’d hardly have to track this woman down. Also it doesn’t read as though this influencer was negative about the show, just that she expressed concern for Meghan. People say Meghan twists the narrative but then they go and do the same.

Is it calligraphy? It just looks like crap writing that has had some tails added afterwards, to make it look like something it isn't. But then I suppose it's the literary version of adding flower sprinkles to a sandwich, so not all that surprising.

I agree that sending that to someone who criticised her is a very odd and sinister thing to do.

Actually it isn't calligraphy at all is it. I remember doing that in art class in primary school and it was learning how to write in old fashioned style, like the front page of a newspaper from the 1600s or something. Not just cursive with wild lines jutting out all over the place. It looks unhinged and unnatural as a natural handwriting style.
So it's just pretentious toss. Anyone could choose to write that way but for what purpose?

Yes. It's obvious that the influencer was expressing concern and Meghan reassured her in a witty way, but don't let that get in the way of a good bash! The influencer has now said she is a 'fan for life of Meghan'.

Incidentally is it now the trend on here to call females who marry in to the royal family by their maiden surnames with no first name?
Should I be calling William's wife... Middleton?

Vespanest · 20/03/2025 12:37

are we meant to believe this is organic and yet reported by Meghans and Harry's go to publication The People, it's PR to get people talking and that's what's happening. Otherwise why would anyone publish correspondence sent by Meghan and copyright

Lindy2 · 20/03/2025 12:44

What's with the random weird flicks on some of the letters? Do they make the letter fancy? They're just randomly placed on top of fairly normal writing. Has she always written like this or is it a new, special, thing?

Also, why is her logo a crown? The very symbol she chose to flounce away from.

I'm actually rather worried about her. She's completely nuts.

JADS · 20/03/2025 12:48

As I said, it's hardly witty.

Amanda was clearly expressing concern in her podcast which is fair enough. That trailer was bad and that was probably the most positive twist anyone could put on it. The Office of the Duke and Dutchess found her and Meghan sent a note, (maybe with a couple of Benjamins attached) asking her to stick it on Twitter. What a coincidence that People Magazine came across it and put a positive spin on it!

It's a bit of PR, but calling her "my Dutchess" smacks of SS. So maybe that's why people are suspicious?

What is does show is that the War Room is still very much in action. Also maybe she could sue for copyright?

It’s the first time that I noticed that the big swooshes are a separate stroke too. It’s very “Look at meeeee!!!”

another day another nasty bash thread about MEGHAN Markle.

It’s funny, you keep saying Markle. You know it’s Sussex now

Biffatcrafts · 20/03/2025 12:57

I don't understand why she puts the 'flicks' on some letters but not others? She flicks the first 2 d's, but there's no flick on scared. Same with the f's - a flick on feeling, but no flick on fun. I admit I know nothing about calligraphy, but surely there is some kind of uniformity if it's done right? I'm afraid MM's flicks just seem to be a kind of inauthentic and random affectation to me.

Another demonstration of style over substance?

smilesy · 20/03/2025 13:05

“Oh my Dutchess”? I wasn’t aware Meghan was from the Netherlands 🤷‍♀️

Alabamasunset · 20/03/2025 13:21

Oh God.
Where is the humour in this that other posters are referring to?
I cannot detect a trace of humour in her note, so I'm puzzled.
Why oh why is she signing herself off with As Ever. Oh it's painful. That's a rhetorical why. I mean I know why she is, because it's her new thing, but dear Lord. Why does she have to subject it on to us.
And why does she have a crown as her monicker when she loathes the royal institution?
And as others have said, why is she adding sweeping flourishes to some letters but not to all, as in some d and f letters but not all of them, and why is she adding them after the formation of the letters? Sweeps and flourishes should be as part of the formation of the letters. I studied Calligraphy as a student and it's nothing like the way she forms her writing.
And why has she changed her surname to Sussex when she hates England and has said she will never return to the UK?
I can't really cope with her. She's so horribly, screamingly fake that my bullshit radar starts alarming and going into overdrive every time I'm exposed to her and then I get stressed that so many perfectly intelligent people can't see what I can see.

She’s 43% Dutch

mumda · 20/03/2025 13:50

Maybe she'll do an episode about writing to people who are mean to you.
It'll go as well as the jar being filled with special stuff.

Somethingthecatdraggedin7 · 20/03/2025 13:52

She has a crown embossed on her stationery???
Christ alive.
And the writing!
I didn’t think she could sink further in my opinion but this has proved me wrong.
Let alone the actual message. What a twat.
Many have compared her to Hyacinth Bucket but Hyacinth was endearing in her pretension unlike this one.

Thedom · 20/03/2025 13:55

If her idea of fun is pushing out crap programmes, getting slated for how terrible they are, tracking SM accounts (through her war room) for those who mention her in a positive way, and then fricking writing illegible messages to them for them to post online, then her life is seriously without any semblance of joy or humour, if anything said her life is miserable and she knows it, than that one act of desperation says it all.

Extiainoiapeial · 20/03/2025 14:06

Why isn't she allowed to send a message to someone? Up to her! It's hardly an indication that she's desperate or has a life without joy or humour. How to read something into nothing in one easy lesson!
Also could someone prove to me that she published this and not the influencer?
On second thoughts, don't bother because you won't be able to!

LaMarschallin · 20/03/2025 14:06

Biffatcrafts

but no flick on fun.

Indeed. No flick on fun, no f in substance...

(This may be better as a spoken joke)

Thedom · 20/03/2025 14:17

She sent it, so the influencer could post it, and her PR magazine People announced it to the world, as the influencer doesn't have the reach of People magazine..

Meghan Markle could donate a billion pounds to a children’s charity and people would be on here shouting ‘She’s insincere!! She hates kids and eats them! This is just so she can buy more children to eat!’.

I’m not a Meghan ‘fan’ but the treatment of her has gone beyond reasonable. And yet the same people will be saying #bekind and mourning those like Princess Diana and Caroline Flack, conveniently forgetting how they and the public treated such people when they were alive.

It’s totally out of hand.

Extiainoiapeial · 20/03/2025 14:25

Yes. What a crime, she sent a handwritten note. It got published. Who cares who published it!
She's hardly boiling kittens alive

Mymanyellow · 20/03/2025 14:32

The writing! Totally over the top, just like Meghan.

Cattery · 20/03/2025 14:57

The handwriting is like her: fake. All style and no substance. It screams, look at me

JSMill · 20/03/2025 15:08

I can’t believe she has a crown above her initial. That’s just embarrassing.

That’s the thing I find strange. She’s an American California girl as she keeps reminding us but she clings on to the crown for dear life.
