Their poor innocent new PR chief having to filter through the reviews and produce a summary for perusal. Is it below the royals to have to google search their own reviews? I think it could be.

Absolutely. Talk about a baptism of fire! 🔥

That pie looks undercooked. And what's with the random fruit?

The balloon photo is weird. Two 40 something women posing in front of balloons? For what exactly? It's like a set up for a kids' party, but there are no kids!

I agree, the pastry should be golden brown, not pale, and the egg filing looks a bit raw. What's the red stuff on it/in it? It reminds me of footage of liposuction.

@Matildatoldsuchdreadfullies You obviously elevated your kebab----it's been said before

It’s as close as she can get to hawking her title without getting into trouble.

She thinks she’s being smart.

You are so right on this….

I laughed out loud at the last sentence.

This thread is a hoot.

Liposuction and haemoglobin molecules. Is she thinking of a career as a surgeon 🤔

There's more 🤮🤮🤮

When I think of the things I look forward to most, I usually find them in the unexpected, in the thoughtful gesture, in the small details that show care. The single dahlia hand-plucked from your garden and shared with a friend instead of the grandeur of a large bouquet. The lost art of a handwritten note, written with care to simply say 'thinking of you' and placed in an actual mailbox (with an actual stamp) and sent with love. The simplicity of a grilled cheese sandwich cut into small triangles and dunked into tomato soup with your kids. Or one of my favorites-making breakfast for dinner. Those small yet meaningful moments of connection are where we can all find
the magic in the everyday. Showing up for someone can make them feel a little more loved, and definitely more seen - and As ever is a reminder that those gestures do not have to be grand. In fact, it's often the
small moments that can have the largest impact. They say 'it's the thought that counts, but I would go a step
further-it's the thought that counts the most.

Me, me,me,me. Me again. Me…

Food should be educational, you plebs, Archie already knows the periodic table off by heart, and asks my husband about Schrodinger's Cat whenever he looks at papa's hairline.

There's been some photos released . Come on now these things are really basic aren't they ? I've seen better balloon arches going free on Marketplace .

The purple ones look more like a painful case of piles.
(sorry)

It was undercooked. In the episode Meg says she’s likes it a bit soft in the middle….when she tries to cover clearly bringing it out of the oven too early and has already cut into it.

A little wobble is fine….but it was oozy.

I like M's dress but it's very British isn't it? It reminds me of a Cath Kidston dress I bought in Bicester outlet and barely wore because I don't go to many garden parties!

@JSMill It's Emilia Wickstead originally from New Zealand but based in London - Catherine wears a lot of her stuff

@Uricon2 for you
One Perfect Rose
Dorothy Parker 1893 – 1967

A single flow’r he sent me, since we met.
All tenderly his messenger he chose;
Deep-hearted, pure, with scented dew still wet—
One perfect rose.
I knew the language of the floweret;
“My fragile leaves,” it said, “his heart enclose.”
Love long has taken for his amulet
One perfect rose.
Why is it no one ever sent me yet
One perfect limousine, do you suppose?
Ah no, it’s always just my luck to get
One perfect rose.

A founding member of the Algonquin Round Table, Dorothy Parker’s work was known for its scathing wit and intellectual commentary.

I definitely think some of the Netflix crew were trolling her, with the music and many clips they included that didn't put her in a good light.

I'm not au fait with these things but wouldn't she as Duchess Chief Poohbah Executive Producer have had some sort of say over the editing?

I'd love to see what hit the cutting room floor...

I reckon she's too stupid to realise she was having the piss taken out of her.

violetsorrengail · 05/03/2025 21:02

I am feeling a bit sorry for her. She probably knew it was going to be bad but not this bad. The timing for her is just so awful with everything else going on.

There's really a self-awareness issue though, saying things like 'you can get beeswax from your local beekeeper' to make your own candles, with a straight face, is completely insane (if she did say that, I saw it somewhere and it stuck in my head.)

If she'd even used her own house it would have seemed more genuine. As soon as I saw it wasn't her house it was obvious there would be no substance to it.

Alternatively (and more likely given the blinkers the Harolds have had to their own creative output) we have what were deemed the best takes 🎬

elprup · 05/03/2025 21:09

I think the problem is that it isn't what she wanted to do. She had visions of herself as a globe trotting philanthropist, taking private jets to gala dinners where she'd give well received speeches while wearing custom couture and rubbing shoulders with world leaders.

@IcedPurple I agree with this. But surely that is exactly what her role in the royal family would have allowed her to do. So why did she throw it all away?

MajorBryantIsAnArse · 05/03/2025 21:09

She's being accused of racism for mocking MK's accent?

Unconscious bias, surely?

BigWillyLittleTodger · 05/03/2025 21:12

Netflix seem to be a bit worried, apparently they have stopped the comments on WLM and also reviews are being blocked on YouTube

Edited

I wonder why they have done this considering they left the comments open for the trailer?

I've just been wandering round where I live, asking people if they know where the beekeeper is because I need to buy some wax to light up, and now the drug squad is battering down my door.

The fact that no one is going to pay you to travel the world giving speeches in couture unless you have actually built something concrete and long lasting in the world, seems to have passed both Harry and Meghan by.

No one… apart from the royal family. Which she left.

Ohpleeeease · 05/03/2025 21:21

I’ve been musing on this and I think the vapid nonsense that is With Love, Meghan has been a monumentally successful distraction.

The story that was gathering pace a few short weeks ago was her bullying and intimidating behaviour towards subordinates. She could have been totally cancelled. Instead, she’s headline news. Yes, she’s ridiculed, because she is ridiculous, but she’s still there. And no-one’s talking about the bullying any more.

AuroraCake · 05/03/2025 21:22

I'm home ill today and watched it. Parts are good - the chefs and experts in. Parts are bad. First two episodes. Mostly it's doing too much. But there are parts that could work as a successful show.

LaMarschallin · 05/03/2025 21:24

The single dahlia hand-plucked from your garden

I really don't like dahlias. Up there with chrysanthemums as naff flowers, imo.
But, regardless of which flower, how the heck else are you going to "pluck" it if not by hand?
Is she in the habit of ripping off blooms between her teeth and presenting them to people like she's mid tango?
That'll be all the Argentine mojo she absorbed while there for...ooh, months, I suppose.

JSMill · 05/03/2025 21:26

@BasiliskStare yes I recognise that name but I assume I couldn't possibly afford anything she sells!

User14March · 05/03/2025 21:30

If she really bullies ‘subordinates’ then someone will blow the whistle, surely? And why not already? NDAs postc Weinstein not what they were.
