Sure, but my point is that this only applies in Britain, the country she ran out of.

In America she must legally be either Markle or Mountbatten Windsor? Her Sussex 'surname' has no legal standing outside of Britain.

Well if David Linley or Henry Arundel were to move to the US I doubt they'd be forced to change the names they're known as professionally. Or would they?

Their passports might have to be in their birth names but surely anyone can choose their everyday and/or professional name? I don't know what applies in the US.

I beg your pardon?!

There's more 🤮🤮🤮

When I think of the things I look forward to most, I usually find them in the unexpected, in the thoughtful gesture, in the small details that show care. The single dahlia hand-plucked from your garden and shared with a friend instead of the grandeur of a large bouquet. The lost art of a handwritten note, written with care to simply say 'thinking of you' and placed in an actual mailbox (with an actual stamp) and sent with love. The simplicity of a grilled cheese sandwich cut into small triangles and dunked into tomato soup with your kids. Or one of my favorites-making breakfast for dinner. Those small yet meaningful moments of connection are where we can all find
the magic in the everyday. Showing up for someone can make them feel a little more loved, and definitely more seen - and As ever is a reminder that those gestures do not have to be grand. In fact, it's often the
small moments that can have the largest impact. They say 'it's the thought that counts, but I would go a step
further-it's the thought that counts the most.

Dear God. She really thought it was a good idea to release this after the reception the show had?

At the moment, I am beginning to think there really is a grand conspiracy to troll the entire human race mercilessly. Big stuff Trump, frilly bits Duchess Megs.

(PS if anyone is thinking of sending me a) a handplucked dahlia from your garden or b) a grand bouquet, I'll have the bouquet. Ta.)

Anyone can call themselves anything in everyday life.

David Bowie didn't have to stop calling himself that when he moved to New York. But legally his name will have been David Jones.

My point is that Meghan is insisting that her family's name is Sussex, but I'm questioning how that can be the case. Both of their children have 'Mountbatten Windsor' on their birth certs. Not Sussex, because that is not their legal name.

I don't know but it's an interesting point. I wonder if the children are known as Archie and Lilibet Sussex at school/nursery? I suppose they must be if Meghan is saying it's their family name.

Oh dear. Meghan getting a dose of her own medicine with racism against Mindy Kaling accusations.

(I love Mindy's dress and hair in this picture, and she is very pretty!)

What a disgusting combination.

Not only do the flavours clash, but who dunks gooey melted cheese sandwiches into soup?

Stickystickysticky · 05/03/2025 20:17

I caught a bit of Lady C talking about surnames etc and I think I heard correctly, was reading this thread so not paying attention properly, that they can use Sussex as a surname, but I don't think Harry would want to be called Harry Sussex, wasn't he Harry Wales in the army?

Harry does as instructed I fear.

There's been some photos released . Come on now these things are really basic aren't they ? I've seen better balloon arches going free on Marketplace .

I watched the last episode to see if it was more interesting. I did like the guest, she was forceful enough to work against Meghan and clearly knew what she was talking about.
The gift wrapping was entirely pointless.

Shes crap at making pancakes (French style) and doesn’t look like she’s made them much. I don’t think I have ever seen anyone serve them with jam before?

I would want that food sitting out in the Californian heat in a garden full of insects.

Did some of her balloons fly away? That's more ruin than arch.

EsmaCannonball · 05/03/2025 20:25

She'd better not be using the medium of Drew Barrymore to pretend to the Americans that she's invented something called a Jammie Dodger.

I wondered that too. Looks more like a collection of haemoglobin molecules than a ballon arch

Stickystickysticky · 05/03/2025 20:27

Netflix seem to be a bit worried, apparently they have stopped the comments on WLM and also reviews are being blocked on YouTube

Adamante · 05/03/2025 20:28

I am starting to believe that Meghan has decided to embrace her status as world's most unpopular woman - I mean everyone's talking about her right? And at this point is just trolling us all! Grin

I like M's dress but it's very British isn't it? It reminds me of a Cath Kidston dress I bought in Bicester outlet and barely wore because I don't go to many garden parties!

It would need to be a Spready Dodger. Not to be confused with Todger Spread under any circumstances.

That pie looks undercooked. And what's with the random fruit?

The balloon photo is weird. Two 40 something women posing in front of balloons? For what exactly? It's like a set up for a kids' party, but there are no kids!

It's absolutely delicious actually 😁

LovelyJubly12 · 05/03/2025 20:31

There’s just this really grating tone of preachy ‘I know best’ about everything she says, as if she has special knowledge from On High that mere mortals are not party to. I’m trying to think of there is any other public figure who talks like this… oh yes, Trump.

I can really relate to this. The memories of Eau de kebab as I staggered down sauchiehall street after a glittering evening at the student union. The taste of the greasy donner, the softness of the pita bread and the smell of the chilli sauce dripping down my chin

EverytimeI see a Carlsberg special soaked drunk lying in the street I think so fondly of those halcyon days

Such a beautiful description, it’s brought a tear to my eye. You obviously elevated your kebab.
