Exactly, she has zero idea about baking.

Also, why does Scottish shortbread remind her of England?

She’s just making this shit up to market basic bitch box recipes.

Edited

"Basic Bitch Box Recipes" would be a more catchy name for what she's flogging than "As Ever". And more accurate.

This just landed in my junk mail 🤮
Hibiscus tea that reminds me of the sun tea I made in my childhood, placing a teabag into a mason jar of water and watching it change color as it steeped in the warmth of
the sun. - Crunchy and delicious shortbread cookies that remind me of my time in England, with tiny flower sprinkles to add
extra beauty and charm to enjoy each delicate bite. - Crepe mix inspired by my time visiting France as a student, savoring the thin texture and delicate flavor, and bringing a taste of that back to my college apartment at the time, and
now my family home. - My beloved fruit spreads honed over years of recipe testing, the sweet scent wafting through the house; the type of aroma that makes you stop, close your eyes, and breathe it
all in - the fragrance that says 'Welcome home.' With As ever, I welcome you to the feeling of my home, and
invite you to have this joy in your home too.

I can really relate to this. The memories of Eau de kebab as I staggered down sauchiehall street after a glittering evening at the student union. The taste of the greasy donner, the softness of the pita bread and the smell of the chilli sauce dripping down my chin

EverytimeI see a Carlsberg special soaked drunk lying in the street I think so fondly of those halcyon days

JADS · 05/03/2025 19:38

My kids made shortbread one Christmas for their grandparents. I remember the recipe being very simple. I appreciate box mixes are super common in the States, but this seems like madness.

glitterturd · 05/03/2025 19:39

She said Scottish shortbread is to do with England??? That's her biggest sin yet 😂😂😂

Stickystickysticky · 05/03/2025 19:40

And it's just shortbread not shortbread bloody cookies

RecollectionsMayRealiseMyJamIsNotActuallyJam · 05/03/2025 19:40

"My beloved fruit spreads honed over years of recipe testing"

Ah so my Jam is not my Jam. But I thought everyone knows that My Jam is My Jam

But actually my Jam is my Spread, or is My Spread my Jam, or maybe my Spread is my Spread.

Another thing that could bite her on the arse if she's implying that she's actually made it herself or at least used an original recipe that is hers but is actually flogging some mass produced stuff that she has no clue what's in it.

let's hope so 😁

BasiliskStare · 05/03/2025 19:41

@Stickystickysticky Mad as a box of Frogs. I actually thought that was a spoof.

Also if you make fruit spreads - yes it will , sweet scent wafting blah blah breathing eyes closed blah blah welcome home blah wot she said - whilst you are making it Not just by opening a jar. I feat consumers may not get the full jammy fug of MM's house they may have been expecting from that blurb.

BigWillyLittleTodger · 05/03/2025 19:44

It must be very satisfying for all the people she has bullied on both sides of the Atlantic to see her annihilated on the world wide stage, Karma’s a bitch isn’t it.

Stickystickysticky · 05/03/2025 19:45

If the smell of jam wafts through your house when you open the jar, I would advise not to eat it as you' ve probably mistaken it for a candle.

Mookie81 · 05/03/2025 19:45

I know I'm being mean; she mildly annoyed me before this show, but after watching just 1 and a half episodes, I can't stand her. Partly the stupid quips and jokes with the ridiculous laughing, partly the snide, passive-aggressive remarks, partly the Californian vocal fry accent, partly because the show is so cloying and cheesy, unbelievably cheesy. The music hurts my ears. It's all so fake!
The comment about how much junk food she grew up eating- mask slipped there Meg! Doria wasn't so perfect.

Edited as I'm watching and finding more annoyances. Grin

glitterturd · 05/03/2025 19:46

It's like the Jerry Springer show - part of the reason people watch it is for the ridiculous entertainment provided. Me I would rather have the man who married his horse and the kung fu hillbilly.

MonteShitshow · 05/03/2025 19:47

@AtIusvue get yourself to bed and have a good night moment. I fear you may be becoming unwell (truth: you’re on fire!). But you’ve been on fire so long I think you’re gg to smoke them bees out.

i badly need a cringe emoji, a green nauseated emoji and a shocked face emoji on here.

I went on NF to look at what I am being recommended. Baring in mind that the Harry and Meghan docusoap was heavily pushed, there is no hint of WLM. In today's UK top 10, there is not a whiff of WLM. However 2nd is a new series called "Running Point" starring Kate Hudson but written by Mindy Kaling. I did wonder what the jeff MK was doing on WLM. I wonder if there is a link.

There are lots of new series released today and coming soon. Interesting.

I loved running point. Give it ago.

glitterturd · 05/03/2025 19:51

I think that Netflix were happy for this to be a pile of shite do they can easily part ways.

Beginning to look increasingly likely.

Stickystickysticky · 05/03/2025 19:53

There's more 🤮🤮🤮

When I think of the things I look forward to most, I usually find them in the unexpected, in the thoughtful gesture, in the small details that show care. The single dahlia hand-plucked from your garden and shared with a friend instead of the grandeur of a large bouquet. The lost art of a handwritten note, written with care to simply say 'thinking of you' and placed in an actual mailbox (with an actual stamp) and sent with love. The simplicity of a grilled cheese sandwich cut into small triangles and dunked into tomato soup with your kids. Or one of my favorites-making breakfast for dinner. Those small yet meaningful moments of connection are where we can all find
the magic in the everyday. Showing up for someone can make them feel a little more loved, and definitely more seen - and As ever is a reminder that those gestures do not have to be grand. In fact, it's often the
small moments that can have the largest impact. They say 'it's the thought that counts, but I would go a step
further-it's the thought that counts the most.

Stickystickysticky · 05/03/2025 19:56

This is the only thing I could run with , so much easier to chuck a bowl of shreddies in front of the kids rather than cooking a nutritious dinner.

Or one of my favorites-making breakfast for dinner.

Aristocrats sometimes go by their titles rather than their surnames. For example, the current Earl of Snowdon was previously Viscount Linley until his father died and was/is known professionally as David Linley rather his actual surname of Armstrong-Jones.

The Duchess of Abercorn, friend of the late Duke of Edinburgh was known as Sacha Abercorn rather than the family surname of Hamilton.

The previous Duke of Bedford was for many years styled as Marquess of Tavistock and was known as Robin Tavistock rather than the family surname Russell.

The heir to the Dukedom of Norfolk is styled as Earl of Arundel and he uses the professional name Henry Arundel rather than the family surname Fitzalan-Howard.

There are loads of examples of the above although it isn't always the case. It seems to be a matter of choice.

Sure, but my point is that this only applies in Britain, the country she ran out of.

In America she must legally be either Markle or Mountbatten Windsor? Her Sussex 'surname' has no legal standing outside of Britain.

I think she barely sees those children. And what child wants to watch a video of their mother reading them a bedtime story? That's desperately sad. Surely 70% of the magic of bedtime stories for a small child is that shared experience and physical presence of their parent who they have their primary secure attachment with? She needs therapy for her extreme narcissism.

What a terrible idea! Although I read to my DD every day I was there at bedtime (almost all of them) part of the fun of having a babysitter was to choose a story to read with the babysitter (one 9f a very small number of people she knew well and only once she was about three). I would have thought it would be distressing for a child to see their mother on a screen, reminding them of her absence. It really is all about Meghan!

Drew and Meg Sussex

Oh god how mortifying. She is flogging jammy todgers 😂

NormaMajors1992coat · 05/03/2025 20:01

I finally have time to settle down and watch episode 1 🍿

AtIusvue · 05/03/2025 20:02

Brilliant @glitterturd

glitterturd · 05/03/2025 20:03

Is Harry not big enough to be Daddy when she is away? Too much of a plonker? Can't be trusted ?

EsmaCannonball · 05/03/2025 20:03

I walked through an old churchyard today and there was a squirrel eating the snowdrop petals. Meghan has made it big in Tufty land!
