Your service is universal. I hope you are thriving watching this show, not merely surviving.

A super basic pasta dish. A watery tomato and spaghetti dish in one pot

she plating it up ‘pretty’ ….it just looks like pasta in a bowl.

I rarely post in these parts, but that article is something else.

She is absolutely bonkers with a questionable relationship with reality.

I wonder what 'H' really makes of all this.

He will go along looking at her doe eyed and in awe because she’s attractive and he’s a total Dumbo who isn’t bright enough to not think with his cock. If she even had the audacity to gain weight or become unattractive I suspect he’d have far less tolerance

Stickystickysticky · 04/03/2025 08:24

The most elevated any dish got when my daughter was little, was wiping any drippy bits off the edge of the plate where I'd lazily artfully plonked it on .

Bone broth. Right. Like in Jane Austen's time?
She's just read that somewhere, she's no idea what it means.
Bone broth indeed.

It’s a favourite of Gwyneth Paltrow. Who she clearly trying to be. Except Gwyneth does very well because she leans into the pisstakery and doesn’t play the victim because of it, and she actually has stuff she sells

PeggyMitchellsCameo · 04/03/2025 08:27

Just watched 5 minutes. Trying to imagine having a guest room where I could leave two big wooden trays with lots of stuff for guests.
I can’t imagine.

AtIusvue · 04/03/2025 08:27

Some bad editing/continuity when making the bees wax candle!

AtIusvue · 04/03/2025 08:30

She makes Daniel who’s clearly a disaster in the kitchen and had already cut himself while cutting tomatoes, move the bowl with 180 degree melted beeswax! Was watching through my fingers! What a lovely friend she is

Hmmm maybe this isn't aimed at poor people who don't have guest rooms. Personally, I keep the east wing guest ready at all times.

I prefer to have my guests stay in the gatehouse.
saves having to bump into plebs at breakfast

I really like the pyjama look - probably because it is how I dress a lot if the time. It is so comfortable. And I also like the other look in People where Meghan is wearing jeans and oversized white shirt. Lovely cut on the shirt.

I think she looks lovely in the white shirts and jeans she wears but the pinstripe outfit didn’t look nice at all. It reminded me of the boy in the striped Pajamas.

AtIusvue · 04/03/2025 08:34

She makes a cake with very lumpy cake batter. Mary Berry she is not

Little Harry never got cutted up pear. Harry asked for cutted up pear, but the insect man said, "No! Go back to your small room! And no sausages for you today either!" Mama Meghan the Kitchen Fairy cutted up little Harry a pear and a an extra sausage and arranged it on a place for him artfully. Then, with the waive of her magic mixing spoon, she turned it into a beautiful, meaty, fruity, glittering rainbow bridge spanning the Atlantic. She held out her hand to little Harry. "Come, young Todger, take my hand and let me lead you to the promised land, full of all my fruity goodness that you can fill that big gaping hole of yours with, " she lilted. "I am Mama Meghan, I am here to right the generational wrongs, your sausage is safe with me. We will create a new Kingdom of the Jammed!"

Come, young Todger

I'm dying 🤣

AtIusvue · 04/03/2025 08:41

Ok so, so far.

It all just seems very pointless. It’s clear she’s not very skilled and it takes an extremely long time to get through the most basic of processes.

Very basic recipes/techniques that take an age to demonstrate!

Pro-tip: It just gets dusty though, unless you have a constant flow of random guests. And who has that?

(Unless you have staff who can dust and and refresh it every couple of days, to maintain that aura of “I’m so unbelieveaby on top of all this domestic goddessing!”)

AtIusvue · 04/03/2025 08:46

It looks pretty but I can’t get over how basic everything is and it’s all designed so that Meghan receives constant praise from her guests.

Patsnpons · 04/03/2025 08:46

My heart goes out to those nannies I hope someone has asked if they are ok

The producer praises meghan for thinking of him for making him coffee. She says the sharing doesn’t just stop at one person. ….but it does. She makes two cups of coffee, one for herself. What about the 80 crew she was talking about in the People article.

As I say, it’s all designed to make Meghan look amazing. She poured a bloody cup of coffee for Christ sake and it makes the edit

Viviennemary · 04/03/2025 08:51

That dreadful striped outfit. Prisoner cell block H comes to mind. But at least it's ironed.

Is beef broth just stock?

Wordler, thank you for that. I nipped out this morning and did a tour of the few supermarkets where I live in the Middle East and there’s nothing resembling bone broth to be found so I’ll just give up on making it till I’m next in the UK. It’s supposed to be good for you and I thought I’d try it when I was poorly and feeling very sorry for myself. It’s also supposed to be good for crepey skin, the collagen in it, and I’d have rather drank a cup of the bone broth everyday than use a supplement. But it’s not going to happen.

It's pitiful really, I bet we've all made a cuppa for the plumber or whatever workmen we've had round.

My brother in law who lives in Japan explained the concept of kintsugi to me when I dropped a favourite mug on our tiled kitchen floor and the handle came off. He suggested kintsugi-ing it up with some super glue. I shed not a tear , just told him that sounded like an accident waiting to happen.

How unlike the home life of our own dear Duch.

I find kintsugi a beautiful idea, but all the "how tos" I've seen are very clear that it is NOT for anything that will have to be used and go near water. Decorative purposes only.

Not tried it myself, it would end up a gloopy mess of broken pot and golden glue but that's because I'm not a founder of women and am in no way elevated.
