I just read that "People" article. She says that she and Harry are constantly out dining in local restaurants with friends as well as visiting people in their houses. It doesn't sound as though there have been any security issues in their casual local dining and daily life in Montecito.

She even mixes with the peasants:

‘Meghan embraces life in her community, whether solo or with friends. “I go to [yoga] classes that sometimes have 40 to 50 people in them and just walk in like, ‘Hi!’ ” she says, laughing. “Of course, at the beginning, that felt like a lot. By the way, I think anybody walking into a yoga class with 50 people and everyone looks up, it’s going to feel a little uncomfortable!” But now? “I love it. It’s the best. I had missed it.”’

I have never heard of a yoga class with 50 participants, let alone in an exclusive neighbourhood. Wouldn't 'celebrities' have private yoga instructors? And have none of these 50 plebs ran to the press with sneak photos of the duchess in the midst of downward facing dog?

AtIusvue · 03/03/2025 16:15

Meghan confident that the kids are inheriting her business. Which is insane. We all know it won’t last.

‘Adds Meghan: “I hope that when they get old enough, they feel really proud that they were part of the beginning of this with me.”’

AtIusvue · 03/03/2025 16:18

That article was complete saccharine nonsense.
She comes across as completely out of touch.

MissFenellaPrism · 03/03/2025 16:18

Thanks for the quotes - they're hilarious! How can anyone talk about themselves like that?
Zero self awareness.

Or in yoga classes with '40 or 50' participants.

MissFenellaPrism · 03/03/2025 16:19

It's just all nonsense, isn't it?!

jeffgoldblum · 03/03/2025 16:20

What's with them and the whole kids inheritance?

First we have Harry declaring he can't spend his inheritance from Diana because it's for his kids!

Second we have Harry declaring that he's leaving invictus yo his kids (it's not even his to leave !)

Third we now have Meghan declaring she's leaving her ( nonexistent!) business to her kids! 🙄

Aren't they inheriting Invictus too?

And didn't Harold have something disapproving to say about pre-set paths at one point?

Anyways as they're also supposed to be copping St Diana's mills it'll be interesting to see if they can be arsed to get out of bed for either project.

CathyorClaire · 03/03/2025 16:24

Beat me to it, Jeff 😁

AtIusvue · 03/03/2025 16:25

At least we know the show will teach us how to plate up takeaways beautifully.

Gladiators on a Sat night with a takeout will never be the same in my house again!!! 😂

Vespanest · 03/03/2025 16:25

The yoga part is how can I relate to the plebs who I expect to call me maam but also need them to buy any shite I'm selling. I though the message from them and their supporters was they were living an idyllic life away from the vultures of the British press and the toxicity of Harry's family and yet the writing appears to now be the pain of the last few years. What do we call a non influencer influencer?

VeryconfusedNana · 03/03/2025 16:25

The inheritance thing is very big in their life because they don’t want Archie and Lili being penniless Royals when they’re older. God forbid they’d be the poor American equivalent of Russian royalty after the revolution going from place to place depending on the goodwill of others to get by.

Yes, they're totally driven by wealth and status.

The schools in Montecito are excellent. They are being given the education to gasp go to college and get jobs.

ERthree · 03/03/2025 16:29

Gosh, she talks a load of shite. I hope to god she has the grace to be embarrassed.

I doubt that Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet will need to get jobs, like other Americans! They'll have wealth and status by virtue of being royal, surely?!

Stickystickysticky · 03/03/2025 16:33

They spend all this time with me at home and at their houses or out at dinners. For them to see who they know to be reflected onscreen, it brought them a lot of joy

Why would your friends expect to see anything other than the person they know? Unless of course you're a fake and present many different personas.

PigglyWigglyOhYeah · 03/03/2025 16:33

She really is ghastly. Can you imagine Catherine giving an interview in which she describes herself putting a takeaway on a plate ‘beautifully’? She might say it about someone else - ‘William is so good in the kitchen - even if we have a takeaway he makes it look lovely’ (although it’s unlikely she would say such a thing) but she certainly wouldn’t describe herself in that way. ‘I’m so fucking marvellous I knit the noodles into a special intricate design then I drizzle them with sweet and sour sauce from a height, whilst elevating the chicken balls by putting them in a cocktail glass.’

That doesn’t count because In the mind of Harry and Meghan the only thing that matters is generational wealth. They absolutely have to make sure the children are wealthy otherwise they’ll go down in history as the people who lost their children everything.

Stickystickysticky · 03/03/2025 16:35

The whole thing is nauseating.

IcedPurple · 03/03/2025 16:37

The whole thing sounds like a really bad TV ad scenario. 'The Perfect Family' in their beautiful sunlit home. Mama cooks healthy homemade meals for her lovely children but of course they're not above the occasional 'beautifully plated' Chinese takeaway either.

It just sounds so fake and generic to me. It doesn't ring true at all. And again, the whole vibe seems totally out of touch with the times.

PigglyWigglyOhYeah · 03/03/2025 16:37

Considering this programme is about food, it’s making a lot of us feel nauseated. Doesn’t bode well if your audience feel like throwing up before it even starts.

That gave me a giggle, thanks!

And you just know the 'beautifully plated' Chinese takeaway meal is strictly MSG free, don't you?
