I recently read Sam Neill's autobigraphy (recommend) and the love and care he has put into his vineyard is striking. He also had the humility to say he came in knowing nothing and praises the experts he worked and works with.

There are loads of vineyards that will enter into partnerships with celebrities to produce their wine under the celebrity label - so, New Zealand vineyard Invivo makes both Graham Norton and Sarah Jessica Parker’s wines. There will be a similar arrangement available from a California vineyard for Meghan I am sure.

Sam Neill genuinely does own his own vineyard (Two Paddocks) but that’s not the usual model.

Now - I've avoided the Andrew thread currently running precisely because I'm not interested in him at all. Horrible, horrible man - just make him walk the plank. But I've got nothing more to say about him and have no interest in anything he does. Also - he's not a controversial figure, is he? Has there ever been anyone on MN who would defend him? No - so what more is there to say?

Meghan and Harry, though. If NF made a fly-on-the-wall docuseries about their doings (not a propaganda, soft-focus rom-com like their actual documentary series) then I admit I'd be glued to it. It would be hilarious and maddening in equal measure, I bet. Now that might make them more millions, but it would involve laughing at themselves and cutting out the pretentiousness, and they just couldn't cope with that!

Haven’t we been here before though with firstly Sussex Royal, then ARO and now As Ever, Weren’t we told there would be a slew of products and nothing has materialised? It just seems to me that a whole raft of potential merchandise has been picked out of the air with no idea of how or where to source any of it. I don’t know about As Ever. More like As Never 🤷‍♀️

It all feels a bit ill thought out and planned. Surely concentrating on a few initial products to launch would be a better idea? Less is more sometimes. If she launches a few products that sell well and are of good quality and bring in good reviews, it’s better than poor quality control over a vast range. Molly Mae has fallen victim to this in the launch of her clothes line. Rather than get a few items absolutely spot on, she released a full collection and then has had an awful backlash from her customers because the quality isn’t there. You don’t get a second chance to launch something properly.

Im guessing this will still take a while though , contracts to be looked over by a lawyer before signing for starters?

Well , I suppose she has just added a huge range of products so she can pick and choose later which ones she does - but more expert people on marketing etc on this thread than me. 😊
