Where's Doria?

She used to attended public social events with H&M - cant remember the last one? She always comes across as classy and calm - I wonder how she deals with it all? Think she had a tough enoughh time in her early marriage to an older man with difficult teenage step children. Do we know if she remarried or had a partner after Thomas?

I have just googled. Reportedly Doria moved in with Harry and Meghan in 2024. But who knows if that is true? The press do not really seem to know much about her, so just speculate.

Well if someone started a thread about her I'll comment on it. But I'm not going to derail this thread nor am I going to start a thread about Carol cos I'm not interested in where she is or what she is doing and prefer not to make speculative comments about people and their lives that do no impact me.

It's quite possible she's been put out on her ear, I imagine it must be an impossibly thin tightrope to walk.. to keep pleasing Meghan and speak nothing but positively on her actions.
My Mam would've called me out as a complete madam, a bold strap with far to many notions, long ago. The problem with Meghan is she's never had anyone willing to take her down a peg or two, Harry is literally a pampered prince and yet even he had the benefit of Willy to remind him he isn't quite the king of the universe.

Besides, Meghan and her mother have a complicated history to say the least.

the Royal family are paid to do a job. Doria is a private individual. but anyway to bash meghan on this topic seems to be ok.

@TinklySnail She is not a member of the Royal Family or a celebrity. She is a retired qualified social worker who is living her life. Because of who her daughter married and her attendance at her daughters wedding, she has had lots of lied told about her across media, including on MN.
Do you not understand why a private individual who has never sought public limelight should be left alone to live their life?

I suspect she's all ' I love you, but I'm not getting involved in this media stuff' and just lives her life. At least I hope so.

This is exactly what I referred to on another thread. A poster said that MM was fame-hungry and could have just retreated into a quiet life, getting on with things and would be left alone.
Even when she is under the radar/not seen for a while or in this case, her mum, who to my knowledge has never courted publicity, there's always this kind of thread appearing.
You want them to have a quiet life and yet, when Doris tries to, it's questioned.

Define celebrity.
She has attended events with her daughter knowing she would get publicity. This is going to attract opinion and comments, good or bad.

Doria has been at a tiny number of events with her daughter. The last one I can find is May 2023. So going to an event every few years with her daughter means you want the right to speculate over her private life and criticise her?

The whole point of the thread was to ask why she hadn’t been seen.
Put yourself in the public eye and you will be inevitably be judged one way or another.

She is wisely staying in the background. She doesn't want to be part of the Meghan & Harry Show,

No one is judging her character, just her not being seen.
