Meghan is not going to show her real life or her actual family to you in any of her output. She will present a persona which she has absolute control over. Anyone deluded into thinking they are seeing anything that's true, real, authentic, genuine etc etc is going to be disappointed.

That's not Meghan's way. She will feed you the version of herself and her life that she wants you to believe.

Impossible to explain in a short post here! I agree with you completely about the dodgy ethics of portraying the lives of real, living people (and some dead people) in a drama where we just cannot know what really happened or why people did what they did as fact. NF will spin you the line that everyone knows it's drama, but they're being disingenuous.

I resisted watching it for these reasons but finally did about a year ago and it was just as annoying as I expected it to be! But fair play to Imelda Staunton, who frankly was incredible as QEII - for a few seconds I forgot she wasn't the real thing!

I don't wish to be provocative but surely everyone of her ilk does the same? From the likes of JamieO, Nigella and even the Royal family. Everyone presents a persona that is supposedly digestible to the public.

Yes that is true to a certain extent but people hate it when they feel they have been duped or even see it clearly ! Meghan seems to contradict herself all the time and there are so many lies untruths which are obvious. When you talk about yourself ALL the time it will come back and bite you on the bum. A previous defender of Meghan, Kathryn Ryan has just come out and said the whole thing is so full of holes and lies. It is the pretence and the lying . She's dishonest but doesn't even seem to try to hide it.

There are a lot of people making money off having an opinion about Meghan. There’s also quite a few that see having an opinion about her, and broadcasting it, as an opportunity to lift their public profile.
