They didn't close a chapter, they opened it, by making false accusations against members of the RF, and the British people. They don’t get to decide when that chapter is closed.

I don't know all the sources these days but it was often the case in the past that women in South India would donate all their hair (as in shaved head) to a temple as part of praying for something (maybe a baby, maybe for someone who was ill in the family to recover). A type of self sacrifice or offering to a deity. The temples would then sell this to companies making hair extensions, real hair wigs or even hairdressing 'heads' (we have one in our house with real hair as we have a budding hairdresser in the family).

How do you know that these accusations are false?
Were you there with them?
Are you part of the family?
Do you know their family dynamics?

Because they keep doing semi outrageous things and making a scene. No one is interested in pouring adoration on them for just existing which is what they seem to want.

i have a feeling it’s some idealised, post Diana nonsense. Even she took a massive bashing and shed loads of criticism before she died and if she hadn’t died, she’d probably have fallen even further out of favour and into more relative obscurity as time went on. Probs got stuck in a hair rut and become less glam as she got into middle age. No one would be putting her up for sainthood if she hadn’t died so young. I am not sure H&M see it quite how it all was though.

Meghan has moved on with her life, she has moved on from the UK and the Royal Family. She is a happy and accomplished woman and that shows.

In my experience happy people don’t feel the need to push back at all perceived criticism of themselves. Or bully their staff. And accomplished people don’t tend to have quite so many rebrands and failures to launch as Meghan has had over the last five years, or such a gulf between their expressed ambitions and their actual achievements.

But io guess that’s something on which we’ll have to agree to differ.

@Onlyonekenobe thank you for replying to my question. I also don't understand the dye-in-the-wool royalists & forelock tugging but thought maybe it was because I'm not English. The mirror image is an interesting point & as you say the criticism
is very passionate which is what I do notice. I do agree there's something in the public that likes to see people get their comeuppance in the same way underdogs are championed. And I think many hate hypocrisy more than something illegal & maybe that's the bit I am missing. I don't know enough about H&M but would not be surprised & would even expect them to be entitled, spoilt etc as most people of that fame & wealth are. I suppose I don't see them as any different to any other celeb who is hustling for a slice of the pie.

We know the titles for their kids weren't withheld, they said they were. We know they weren't cut off penniless. KC gave them a massive wodge. We know they weren't married 3days previously the Bishop had to publicly declare that one. We know Harrys sausage was smaller as was his bedroom that one may be true. The list goes on.

I think they just realised that particular avenue had run its course rather than them choosing to stop out of the goodness of their hearts. She’s been out of the RF twice as long as she was in it, and that was only for a hot minute. They now have to knuckle down and actually do stuff if they want (need) to generate money as those tell all chat shows are over. I don’t care one way or another if her business ventures are a success (but that doesn’t mean I won’t comment if I think she’s being fake or weird or just unintentionally comical).

The reality is that none of us know their family dynamics.
We may have opinions, but we do not know anything for sure.
If the Royal Family think that the "accusations" against them are false why don't they give an interview or sue them for defamation?

M&H have put their own side of the story out there and nobody is stopping the Royal Family from doing the same or suing them ( they would have infinite resources to do so).

I suppose that's where we differ. I don't see a lifestyle brand with a questionable name, logo or purpose as remotely outrageous.

I know it's not positive attention, it's clickbait and people want to criticise them. But people are still interested enough to do that whilst claiming they aren't which is the bit that intrigues me.

Yes, they were and are tabloid fodder. Yes, they have a right to tell their own story. The trouble is, they planted lies and confusion among their 'truth' - they were married in their 'back yard', Archie was denied a title, two members of the Royal family were racist about their unborn child, Kate made Meghan cry, Charles never hugged Harry, no-one helped Meghan learn how to be royal. As a result, everything they do is scrutinised because they are not trusted.

Because they have class and have risen above it. Also, they probably feel sorry for Harry as he seems such a weak loose canon and will probably need their support one day.
