1 because we want to!
2 if they stopped behaving in ridiculous and hypocritical ways, there would be nothing to criticise, if they didn't tell lies , there would be nothing to criticise.
this last endeavour is just one in a long line of things they have pushed into the public consciousness, this week alone it's been practically daily that some new incidents have happened.
That is why we are criticising them.

I’m new here in the sense that I had no idea threads about Harry & Meghan were in fact the nastiest places on mumsnet. Lesson learned. First time and will not be engaging on one again.

I agree about the perfume. In my experience, celebrity perfumes are often really lovely. I have a theory it's because the makers have to really impress the celebrity in order for them to sign off on it. JLO's Glow is beautiful, and Ariana Grand's Cloud is one of the best perfumes I've ever smelt, including the really expensive ones in the perfume bazaar on the sixth floor of Harrods. I'm sure that celebrity fragrances are the last word in naff for the brand-conscious, but I couldn't care less - if it smells good, I'll buy it.

There’s every possibility a fragrance is among the products she’s developing. There are so many things which would be lovely for her to work on, scented candles, hand made soaps, wine, perfume. She could faff about with botanicals to her heart’s content. What she really needs to do is pick a lane then fully commit to it.

Her buyers are not here on these threads but they’re out there somewhere.

To get back on topic, the line is due to launch in only two weeks but there is still no real idea about what will be sold, other than 'fruit preserves' and what the 'angle' will be. She seems to be going for a high end vibe with her TV show, but if it's true that she's selling them in NF shops in shopping malls, alongside Squid Game tracksuits and Bridgerton mugs, then that doesn't exactly have an aura of elitism.

What is the target market? Young women don't care about her. Women her age and older have a lot of people competing for their money. Celebrity brands are ten a penny. Some succeed, but many fail, and the current economic environment is not friendly to high end brands. What is Meghan's appeal in this tough marketplace?

I assume there will be another delay to the launch seeing as she has more or less stolen the new logo so presumably can't use it?
