I think it'll take many years for them to shake off the "grifter" tag. If ever.
Neither of them seem that smart and they've made some terrible choices. But the weirdest thing is the huge contradictions: the private jets/environmental lecturing, the privacy/psuedo royal tours etc. Are they really so dim or badly advised that they can't see them? The South Park episode was spot on, and it just continues.
The security stuff is all nonsense and hot air. Harry's miffed that he's no longer seen as important enough to have police protection here. (And Meghan probably can't believe there's something you can't get by throwing money at it.) Look at Zara Phillips: she leads a busy life with 3 children and doesn't spend her life crying about security or being papped. If they were really that concerned about security they wouldn't have gone to 2 of the most dangerous places in the world, Colombia and Nigeria. And Harry thinks it's too dangerous to bring his children to the UK??
They should have banked Harry's millions, bought a smaller house in a less-millionairish neighbourhood and got on with some of their "showing and up and doing good". But that was never going to happen.
I'll definitely watch Love Meghan or whatever it's called, but only in the same way I watch Kirsty Allsop's craft shows, to roll my eyes and wonder if anyone's taken in by all the fluff and fake enthusiasm. Better make the best of it, as looks as though there'll only be one series.
