Meghan has renamed her luxury lifestyle brand 'As Ever'.

'As Ever essentially means as it's always been, and if you've followed me since 2014 with The Tig, you know I've always loved cooking and crafting and gardening — this is what I do,' she said. '

Thanks for the link.

"'As ever' means 'as it's always been' or some even say 'in the same way as always,'" said Meghan's post.

She should have called it "Stagnant".

Is this true! , after the last cock up , i really hope it's not .

Yeh you could reach the page yesterday. I went on it, but now it’s gone

Uricon2 · 18/02/2025 14:14

Bravo @PeggyMitchellsCameo !

It must be much easier to live "thoughtfully" when that privileged. Currently the focus of my thoughts is on when the plumber can get out to find and fix the leak that has wrecked my engineered wood kitchen floor in days, knowing that there is no alternative to massive expense and upheaval.

As ever.

The poor staffers in Meghans War room must all be fighting to sign up for a place on the mental health programme their ex colleague had to go on.

I wonder what is the first port of call for the war room staffers, Reddit, X, Daily Mail comments, Mumsnet,

which reminds me, off to check out the comments on her Netflix youtube trailer, bet there are plenty more corkers since Whatever has been launched.

I do think this fits in with the vanity fair narrative that it's Meghan that is now responsible for the income stream and left her straddling where her products best fit. Ideally the flamingo estate which heavily influenced ARO was her original market but I'm not sure the turnover is in region to support a royal family lifestyle, the same with Nigella and others than she is compared with. if she enters the beauty market, she hasn't got the fanbase such as rhianna or Ariana, and whilst a perfume range maybe popular, it tends to be short lived and none of the comparables to Meghan need the income to support the longterm needs of Harry.

But their biggest post royal money spinner was 'Spare' which was entirely Harry. They are also largely living off money from Harry's family. Whatever money they made from NF, and we know it's not the figures rumoured in the media, was also mostly down to Harry. He'd have got big media deals no matter who he married, but the same is not true in reverse.

As I said above, I think they both vastly overestimated their post royal appeal and would have been better pursing a more modest, though still by most people's standards luxurious, lifestyle.

Thinking back to Fergie. I’m not a huge fan of hers for sticking by her ex-husband, but back in the day she did get a bit of a raw deal. He was hardly home, the press hounded her over her weight, and she didn’t do well in the divorce.
When she went to America she did the one thing that endeared her to ordinary women and played on an insecurity that plagues so many of us - her weight. Different times, might I add. Her deal with Weight Watchers was in fact a big deal. They got a Duchess, who was actually quite candid in those days, and she got paid well.
How she’s earned some of her cash since is immoral, but that original move was a clever one.
It is clear that both Meghan and Harry need to make big money and probably pretty fast, but I’m not sure if jam and dog bowls are going to make them a fortune.
If you are creating a line, then things like homewares and even your own wine seem to be bigger earners - I’m thinking Kylie Minogue.
I would forget about being too uptown and go for a huge outlet to do a deal with - Target?

Dog bowls need to be practical..Heavy duty stainless steel that can be dropped and washed easily - we have some 30 yr old ones still going strong.

Good for her. There was a problem with the previous name, I seem to remember reading. So she is trying to make a buck - why not? I dont understand the hate for her.

If you see “hate” report it.

Janiie · 18/02/2025 14:40

I'd have thought of 'as ever' to be something said in an negative may. Kind of 'same old same old'.

Why does she act like a gushing teen? Her mannerisms are so contrived.

And crucially - don't break when your brother pushes you over into one.

LipglossAlly · 18/02/2025 14:50

Best wishes to a lovey lady who was able to navigate the hatred and racism thrown at her. Watching her thriving and literally glowing from the inside is so inspiring. Keep shining beautiful Meghan, keep shining.

Yes, Kylie has had a success story with her wine. Even learned Gary Barlow has his own, too? Then you've got your Danny de Vitos and George Clooneys. But the problem is that whatever they do/come up with now, to be self-sufficient, they'll be slammed for - just as Fergie was.
Perfumes, candles, wine...it will all be seen as grifting/cashing in. They cannot win in that respect. She'd be better off returning to acting, as a pp said.

These are all side lines for this people. No one is relying on it as their main income source.

This might be the funniest thing I’ve seen on MN today.

(Not including Eau D’Ear which is world
class)

What do you mean 'they cannot win'? These brands are a commercial exercise, so if they make money then they will 'win', surely? What does it matter if they 'get slammed for it' by strangers on the internet?

The point is that 5 years ago the narrative was that they were too good for the royal family, and that Meghan in particular was too feminist and too independent to be limited to cutting ribbons and shaking hands. Yet now here she is hawking relabelled tat in provincial shopping malls. If they'd been honest all along about wanting to cash in on their titles it wouldn't be so bad, but this is definitely not what they were aiming for with all their grandiose statements 5 years ago.

MrsMitford3 · 18/02/2025 15:04

I think she looks very much like someone no one says no to.
Ever.

I think she has a fast brain and all of these ideas and is a bit of a runaway train.
Every idea is immediately a go.
She needs ppl around her to help her sift and focus in private before she launches another half ass thing.

She really needs to pick one of those brands and stick with and make something of it.
The more she chops and changes and makes new flags/logos/callligraphy slogans the less anyone will take her seriously.

It's all a bit desperate. Beautifully weaving together everything I love. (Brutally cutting out things like family.) Has she no self awareness.

Her self regard is off the scale isn't it?
