Surely the next step, having had three publications investigate and publish- that Meghan has bullied staff- is that someone comes forward to bring a court action against her?

There have now been dozens in the US who have spoke to VF and or HR. We also have many in the UK that spoke to the Times.

Now everyone is feeling vindicated, I wonder if it will make some feel brave? Perhaps not the UK. But perhaps those in the US?

This doesn’t feel like the end of it. All it takes is one person for the flood gates to open. Look at Diddy.

I think thats true - same as 'Me Too" - someone needs to be reassured that breaking their NDA is low risk and others will then step up.

A persuasive lawyer like Sherbourne could make that happen.

pelargoniums · 21/01/2025 16:58

Grauniad sitting on the fence. I don’t think it’s yesterday’s chip paper – I think it’s a busy news cycle with the inauguration and editors are keeping their powder dry until there’s space to address it without it getting lost or losing impact; perhaps if/when Harry settles with NGN, or is ordered to pay out a rumoured £38m 😱

I think the appeal is something to do with the interpretation of the ‘VIP list’, so that might be connected with the IPP status?

He wants the same level of security as William, because ego, and yes, the IPP status.

Oh yes I am gleefully posting that a bully is getting called out. Absolutely! It really shouldn’t be swept under the carpet. Unfortunately for you, and for your beloved H&M, this is not going to go away. Good.

You are wrong but that won’t stop you from thinking you’re right. Who do we know that is also like that….?! 🤔

Lol my beloved H&M? Seriously come on now theyvare not my beloved anything. Why do you insist on making out Im one fo their fans? I don't keep coming at you calling you a H&M hater with everything you post. People can make comments without being a fan or whatever word you want to use. Or maybe that just blows your mind to think that possibility.

Hughs · 21/01/2025 17:39

Well it looks as though Harry is now in settlement talks with NGN.

Didn't he slag off William for settling his hacking case though? Surely Harry wouldn't do anything so hypocritical.

Well you do a really good job at behaving and posting like a fan.
I don’t “keep coming at you”. I barely waste my time responding to you usually as I know there’s no point. Your opinion is entrenched, even with overwhelming evidence of Meghan’s bullying you won’t admit that she’s a bully. It’s as if you’d turn yourself into a ball of flame should you dare even think it. So forgive me for thinking that you are infatuated by the couple. Many people would draw the same conclusion.
And I am not a hater. (I have been known to defend her on occasion, for example when threads discuss her aesthetic. Especially her feet!) I just don’t like the hypocrisy and behaviour of the entitled pair.

pelargoniums · 21/01/2025 17:47

WeCantGoOverIt · 21/01/2025 17:38

£38 million?

If they’re talking settlement today and he doesn’t take it. The costs for both parties that he’d have to pay were estimated at £38m.

Wanttoadoptadog · 21/01/2025 17:49

LivelyMintViper · 21/01/2025 13:27

So how can the Sussex's recover? I think months of very public therapy. Followed by a public statement that their previous behaviour was due to unprocessed trauma. They now see things in a different light and offer fulsome apologies to the Royal family her father and any employees that they caused distress to. Going forward they will do much better. A large number of under the radar charitable efforts which can be in the press in retrospect. What do you all think?

I think we will see the children at Invictus, the pair of them must be absolutely desperate to change the narrative and the only thing that will gain them positive PR is pictures of them with their cute kids all on a toboggan, you heard it here first 😀

So using their children as media fodder to save their own skins.

It is tomorrow's chip paper if you go to BBC News, Guardian, Telegraph and even the Daily Mail the main headlines are either Trump, Musk and now Kiers statement on Southport. VF may have reprinted it but it doesn't mean it's still trending as a top new story elsewhere

That doesn't mean it's gone away...

That would only leave an estimated £15m! And the RAVEC court case bill to pay. Perhaps it has finally got through to him what he stands to lose (which includes his house)

But just the backs of the kids!

The lack of humility is a huge part in it all. Its one the main reasons why everything about her is so cringe-inducing. She is the very opposite of humble. The vulgar, ostentatious mansion, the horrendous stories of Charles having to ask Harry to get her to reign her clothes expenditure in a little. Rejecting all the initial beautiful offers of queens tiara, wedding venue etc as she wanted something bigger and grander. It all makes one wince to think of it. It's just such poor taste. There are so many people much, much wealthier who are outwardly so much more low-key in their lifestyle.

It's pure unadulterated greed! Instead of thanking her lucky stars for her good fortune in life (which she could never have dreamt of in a million years!), she is never satisfied and just wants more and more. It's ugly.

🙄 oh here we again with the bullying line. So predicatable.

My original comment to the poster about this is responding to a completely different point. That poster was gleefully commenting how this is going to travel far and be top news for a while. And my point was it won't because news changes quickly in terms of what the top news is esp with Trumps inauguration it won't be travelling far at all in the press and only on sites like here or other sm ones where people continue to discuss it.

Perhaps you should go learn to read properly or maybe you need new glasses.

Well we all know your stance on that.

People will be less inclined to boo if the children are there

WeCantGoOverIt · 21/01/2025 19:00

I guess in the heady days shortly after their departure, NF, Spotify, and book deals plus large lifestyle businesses of the back of those may have made them think they were onto a sure win with a steady large income for life.

In that case, why do you persist in defending them and won't hear a word said against them?

Maybe you could open your mind to the possibility that some of their behaviour at least is atrocious, and then we might believe you're neutral! You're so not!

That story surprised me because Charles is said to live a lavish lifestyle and is said to appreciate a well dressed woman.
He is a very elegant man and given that he failed to have a daughter, very generous with Catherine, Camilla and other female relatives, mostly antique jewerelly.

Catherine has a substancial clothes budget, so Meghan's bill must have been outrageous.

I would say $75,000 for Meghan’s Ralph and Russo engagement dress is pretty outrageous.

Yes, that was one of the first red flags for me, after, ironically the 'Wild about Harry' VF interview.

But it could have been a rookie mistake, easily solved.

WeCantGoOverIt · 21/01/2025 19:36

Catherine has also regularly been seen in high street items. And of course Anne is often seen in beautiful vintage items from her younger days.

Hughs · 21/01/2025 19:41

It was a funny one, that dress, absolutely gorgeous, but to me it looked a bit odd outside in the daytime with Harry in a lounge suit. The dress was really giving me uber glam Hollywood night out vibes, whereas Harry looked like a Home Counties solicitor on his way to the office to do a spot of conveyancing.
