Oh how about she is doing whay she wants to do. Shocking isn't it to think hat it could possibly not be about how much money it makes, how many likes, views, follows etc or being super successful at it or being the next big thing and so on. It coukd just be someone saying I'd like to do x and being able to do it.

She’s famous already.

The vocal fry is interesting. She wasn’t doing that when she did the podcasts. I remember several people on here commenting on what a pleasing voice she had to listen to. She wasn’t doing it during the Oprah interview either, nor previously. That’s odd, isn’t it?

Oh gee her dog passed away, that’s very sad.

Frankly I prefer Meghan's choice when she does what she wants to that of Elon Musk. I'd take flower arranging over him any day.

Yes that's what I thought. Always sad to lose a family member, but the timing of the announcement, and him appearing in the new series, is very neat.

The video and the caption is different because it's genuinely quite personal - less polished, more heartfelt - and lots of previous unseen moments including plenty of shots of the kids.

That said, there's still some typical hyperbole and puffery in the caption (the crying in the shower thing) and it's hard not to wonder if some of the shots are deliberately included as part of her brand strategy - ie. The shot of her making jam with the dog!

But overall I think it's quite a sweet tribute - and of course very sad that the dog has died.

I would think it must have been a couple of weeks ago.

It’s not something you would do, make a video for in Sara, it it had just happened. Says herself she was really upset.

It would take time to put it together. There’s also a song at the end that one of the kids sings, that’s she’s recorded about being sad the dog has died. Again, is that something you’d do the day after?

Feels bit by bit, they are releasing more about the kids. Releasing voice recordings of the kids for insta. Not sure how Harry reconciles this with the idea that he’s protecting his children?

There were also more photos. Not face on, from the back. But nonetheless, seeing more of the kids.

Just another thing that she feels forced about her, that she changes to suit the environment around her. Odd.

I’m sorry her old dog has died, but there are massive terrifying fires in California right now, with huge suburbs evacuated and burning down outside Santa Monica.
I don’t think it’s the time to garner much sympathy, when the army is evacuating nursing homes and many people have lost their homes and pets.

I agree, the video is really sweet and natural and real, but the caption is rather artificial.

If Meghan can be the side of her that made the video rather than the side of her who wrote the caption she could really have something. Maybe that's what made The Tig successful, it was more real?

But the side of her that made the video, is who she is. Making a video about her dog is no different to how she approached her podcast or her cooking show. All carefully curated to send you the message she wants and present the image that she wants.

was he put to sleep or die of natural causes

For him to be featured in the actual trailer a week ago then a video in memoriam one week later tied in with jam making , complete with children singing

I seen there is a fire outbreak in Santa Paula. So it’s lots of places now.

Why is that? She was referring to when they lived in the UK.

It’s a lovely wee video and I am sure they will all miss him . It’s always sad when a much loved pet dies .
I could be wrong but did her tribute contain a quote from a song ? Something about counting tears ? I know Meghan likes a quote !

She mentions her new show in the post….tells you everything

Cos we know about him and he has a TV show and advertising revenue.

I have every sympathy for the whole family - dogs are such a central part of your life, and I will be absolutely bereft when we lose ours. I would absolutely share that loss with my social media community, as Ive shared a lot of photos of our dog over the years.

The bit that just makes me sigh with frustration for Meghan however is that she doesnt have that community yet. She’s literally just come back to instagram after 5 years away, and no-one yet yet knows if it will be a personal instagram or connected to her new tv show. The fact it was launched the day before her trailer dropped, and the second post was her trailer, makes it look more likely it’s for her business. Then the third post is about the loss of her dog. But it mentions how he’s featured in the trailer and includes footage of him while Meghan is making jam. So the two are completely intertwined. That will have been deliberate - as it will have been a deliberate decision to include him in the trailer in the first place, obviously! But we have no idea if he only just died, or died some time ago (the permits show that the tv series was filmed in Spring 2024, so several months ago).

I am sure she’s upset about the loss of her dog. But the haziness on timing, the fact the post absolutely refers back to her new tv show and ARO, and will obviously generate sympathy for Meghan following a pretty poor week for her, PR wise, makes it very easy to see this as an attempt to manipulate and switch up the narrative. Or even a planned arc from the get-go to prominently include Guy in the trailer and then break the sad news. If you are looking to position yourself as “both all new and back to my absolutely authentic self!” I am not sure this is the best way to start?

Most Instagram accounts i follow from celebrities mix the personal and the business. I think they probably need to because, let's face it, I'm more interested in her real kitchen than her fake kitchen. One of the fascinations i have with Stacey Solomon is how organised she seems to be, everything has a storage box. I will never be like that in a million years but it's interesting to see how she organises and occasionally i see something i would find useful.

This seems to be the general view, along with sympathy for losing her dog, but a lot of people are looking at it as an attempt at manipulation because of the bad reviews of the trailer.

I wonder if that grainy photo on their christmas card is actually a still from the show.? both beagles are in the photo. Maybe the kids will be featured in it, Mindy Kaling mentioned her appearance was for a 'kids tea party', it would be totally weird to have a kids tea party and not have her own kids make an appearance.

The attention she would have got from the post would be short lived because of the wild fires.

This proves her biggest problem. As Royals, they are expected to conduct themselves in a certain way when there is a public disaster, national news story.

But as a celeb who wants to post on insta and launch a light tv programme, she would be held back in a way that other celebs wouldn’t. People will question if she posts right now or if there was some other event and she goes ahead with her show. When the Queen died, she had to delay her podcasts. She is impacted in a way other celebs aren’t.
It’s near impossible to get away from, because she cites herself as a global leader, Humanitarian, philanthropist and Royal…..you can’t then be posting personal instas while California is burning.

I keep seeing Stacey Solomon mentioned. Stacey wouldn’t release a message from the Office of the Solomon’s about national matters or social justice issues, in the way that Meghan and Harry would. Stacey can sell lightweight content about organising because that’s her world. She doesn’t try to be anything else.

By trying to be both (celeb and royal) Meghans failing at both. She just looks like a sell out from one angle and not authentically living her life on the other.
