Aye, the game's afoot.

Atlasvue · 06/01/2025 22:35

Well she does pay a PR person to cover the UK…..and now you see why

I think this guy, Michael Knowles a podcaster, nails all that is wrong with the trailer for Meghans cookery show, trying to present herself as demure, reticent, cute and shy, the antithesis of what she has shown herself to be.

It's a good 2 minute watch, he is not one of those RF YouTubers who only post about the RF or H&M. It looks like this is his first ever video about them.

Obviously viewing figures will be high as a large proportion will be journalists etc, but hard to imagine anyone else would watch it 'for real'. Can there be anyone who actually wishes to take advice/inspiration re cooking or in fact anything at all, from this person?

That was excellent, thank you. He summed up what the life of a royal needs to be about and how Meghan is the diametric opposite of everything that is required of them.

Please just give up the bloody titles, Meghan! You are world famous now in your own right through the notoriety you have brought upon yourself. People would respect you more if you stopped trading off the royal titles and followed your showbiz/fame path - that has nothing to do with service, duty andl representing the UK - as the person you really are.

Atlasvue · 07/01/2025 09:51

What he said was spot on.

However, he is one of those women should stay at home right wing religious podcasters. So don’t know why he’s perturbed by Meghan's Trad-Wife role play. She’s literally in the kitchen, where many of these men think women belong.

That was interesting. I don't know who he is but I thought he nailed something with this sentence:

"The role of a royal is to be boring". That sums them up. Anytime a royal tried to be too interesting, too different from the rest, too obviously rich (I know they are but there is a reason people loved the late Queen's tupperware) etc they get slated in the press.

Maybe Meghan should stop trying to correct the public perception of her as ambitious and a bit unkind and lean into it? It's hard to change public perception but many people have been successful by playing it up. I'm thinking some kind of twist on The Apprentice. Giving advice and telling people where they are doing things wrong seems more her wheel house than pretending she eats cake, has balloon arches everywhere and find compliments embarrassing.

That would be watchable! It could be called the 'Meghan's Den' or whatever she can get away with, rights-wise.

So she gets the role of Alan Sugar/the Dragons all rolled into one, and Harry can be the Claude figure and Mindy Kaling can be Karren Brady, and they have to report back to Meghan about what they've seen on the contestants' tasks and Meghan rips them all a new one.

5 star reviews all round.

Meanwhile Harry's case in London is not going well with the judge deeming that several of Harry's "witnesses"are actually not involved at all but are merely " commenting" on the press in general eg Charlotte Church's mother Maria.

That's basically what Harry thinks his case should be, people criticising the press. I'd love to see some serious discussion about the role of the media but he trivialises the importance of that conversation when he does this sort of thing.

Atlasvue · 07/01/2025 10:44

He’s been accused of trying to make into a public enquiry.
You just know he will be all smiles and waves to the non existent crowds when he walks into the court building. A court case about privacy and he’ll be seeking attention and trying to manipulate the narrative by waving and smiling the journalist and photographers in the way in.

He’s such a tit.

Didn't he get ticked off previously for trying to bring all sorts of irrelevant stuff into the case?

He is using the courts as a forum to vent his personal grievances, which is a misuse of the legal system, especially as this is a civil case and the preference is for them to be settled outside of court if possible.

CreationNat1on · 07/01/2025 10:49

Sorry that podcaster is a misogynist..... What did he say, "she is the example of the modern woman, that wants it all" and you can't devote your life to motherhood and also a career" essentially you can't have both.

He obviously does not support Ambitious women. He is not someone to be influenced by.

The first time I saw the clip, was during his piece, and I also find it nauseating, however that doesn't mean I agree with his world view.

I just don't like Megan preaching to others at all, she doesn't need to teach the world how to live life. Both Megan and that commentator are patronising, his presenting style is no better than hers.

He clearly approves of the slavish, downtrodden mother, devoting herself to family. Madonna /whore dynamic. He focuses on the actress and the real princess. The actress must be this attention seeking creature wanting all eyeballs on her, I ld imagine there are many actresses whose passion is for the art and not the attention.

I get the feeling the judge is pissed off already with this case. There’s no way Harry will get a win.

The same judge gave him a win in the earlier case, I believe. I agree, the j7dge has sounded seriously pissed off at this and the previous pre-trial thingies. But if H can provide evidence, I think.the judge will evaluate it fairly.

Yeh, no judgement on the judge and doing his job correctly.

But Harry’s just had tonnes of ‘evidence’ chucked out because it was witnesses talking about hurty feelings, not actual evidence relating the case at hand.
So it doesn’t look good if that’s what his case was made up from.

How is Harry addressed in court ? Mr Sussex ?

Atlasvue · 07/01/2025 13:20

He wants to be addressed as HRH then Prince Harry. So much for, just call me Harry. As I said above, he’s a tit

From the Telegraph, at his trial last year:

Mr Sherborne first dealt with the all important matter of how to address this most rare of witnesses. “There is a protocol,” he explained before suggesting that in the first instance, the Duke should be referred to as “Your Royal Highness” but that after that, his “personal preference” was simply, Prince Harry.

That is correct,” the Duke said.

With that, Harry was asked to confirm that the contents of his witness statement were true before it was over to the Mirror’s barrister Andrew Green KC, to get things going.

Your Royal Highness,” he began, duly following protocol. “I’m sure your legal team has explained how this process works…

OP posts:
Xag · 07/01/2025 14:01

His preference is Prince Harry, because the Sandringham agreement was that the Sussex family would not use HRH when not working royals.

But he’s not been formally stripped of it

Atlasvue · 07/01/2025 14:07

He agreed not to use HRH but requested that in court he be referred to as such, because he’s a tit

I like the fact H was at that NYC conference doing his dragon-slayer thing and talking about how he saw the trial as a 'public inquiry'.

At the court hearing last month, the newspaper group’s barrister accused Prince Harry’s side of ‘an attempt to turn January’s trial into some form of public inquiry’.

Only for H's barrister Sherborne to tell the judge: ‘Saying this is overblown – it’s a public inquiry, and so on – does not help your lordship.’

Who do we feel sorrier for - H being fleeced by Sherborne, or Sherborne for having H as a client?

MissRoseDurward · 07/01/2025 16:32

Your Royal Highness,” he began, duly following protocol. “I’m sure your legal team has explained how this process works…

Leaving it to everyone else in court to fill in what he didn't say -
".... but I'm not convinced you'll have taken on board what they have told you, or that you have enough functioning brain cells to understand it."
