Agred looks relaxed even his clothes/colours are nice....no grey jacket etc!

Twistybranch · 04/10/2024 00:12

So…..they can’t afford to keep a full time salaried member of staff is what they’re actually saying?

Thats another member of staff gone! This is embarassing. Really embarrassing.

Keeping in mind this woman’s business is PR and this is the best that they can come up with! 😂

I wonder how many billable hours M&H will rack up…not a lot I guess!

Also she head of communications at Archewell and they are trying to pass her off as just a friend!!! Cos Megs is such a good friend!

Meghan Markle’s Friend Is Launching a New Business, and the Sussexes Are the First Clients

Ashley Hansen, the couple’s current head of communications, is starting her own firm, Three Gate Strategies, and continuing her work with Harry and Meghan.

Hot on the tail of all Meghans bad press

They need this like a hole in the head

Twistybranch · 04/10/2024 00:15

That’s meghan watering these seeds again and they are off flourishing elsewhere

I wonder how long they’ve had to sit on this news , thinking now it’s safe to release.

BigWillyLittleTodger · 04/10/2024 00:23

Interesting turn of developments, Kettler gone now Hansen off to set up her own company, who is steering the ship now, it’s all really odd.

Twistybranch · 04/10/2024 00:23

Meghan says:

We are so proud of Ashley, especially as a female entrepreneur,” the duchess told Vanity Fair in a statement on behalf of the couple. “We look forward to having her focused expertise on our business and creative projects and her continued oversight of our communications team. My husband and I are excited to be alongside Ashley as she builds something extraordinarily special with her firm.”

which means: see what a great boss I am, I’m just the best and I’m super kind to my staff…even when they leave

Also this Hansen woman ain’t getting no clients with the disaster that is Meghan n Harry’s PR.

Also they don’t see the straight up lie they’ve gave out…..that she set up her own company because people reached out to her and wanted her services…but then goes on to say that her only actual clients are H&M but she wants to take on more clients in the future.

No, they can’t afford to keep her on a full time salaries basis and so she will now be doing consulting.

Ffs it’s so see through

Agreed.

And Meghan manages to make that whole article about her. She helped with the same of the company etc

Between this and the USWeekly article….I think they’re losing their god damn minds

Needanewname42 · 04/10/2024 00:39

Well the other questions is does this lady want to keep working with H&M?
Will she use them as a launch pad get her up and running, let them give her some free advertising, then ditch?

Or am I being too cynical?

2 days before she died (when the world knew she was on her last legs)

Did we? Yes she was getting very frail, but she’d done most of the planned Jubilee events (all except the Derby, wasn’t it?) had gone to Chelsea Flower Show, and had kissed hands with the new PM only 48 hours beforehand.

i remember seeing that pic, and thinking ‘oh good, she’s still fine’

Prince Charles, as he then was, was hosting one of George Bush’s DC (Jenna?) who was also interviewing him for some US publication, and she’d written an account of that morning which showed that the events were not expected. Yes she was old and frail, but I’m not sure death was considered imminent (I’d been vaguely expecting her to retire at the end of the summer, requesting Parliament to install Charles as Prince Regent as her final regnal act, and then pootling about between Sandringham and Balmoral with horses and dogs

I didn't know "she was on her last legs". I remember the day vividly. I'd been in a (boring!) team meeting and when I got into my car, my sister rang me to see if I had heard that things weren't good. I remember saying to her, "omg I think this might be 'it'!"

I knew she was very frail, I knew she'd lost a lot of weight, and I knew she had a lot of bruising going on. I never expected when I saw the photos of her greeting Liz Truss, that she'd be gone a mere two days later! I think we had got used to thinking that she would go on forever, bearing in mind the longevity of her mother.

Needanewname42 · 04/10/2024 01:00

HMQ went down hill quite a bit between the jubilee and the Balmoral photo.

She didn't make all the Jubilee events either did she not skip the concert outside the palace. There was a guards parade or something at Windsor else they either modified at the last minute or had a plan B for.

But yes Harry should have gone to visit with kids when they were invite.

MissRoseDurward · 04/10/2024 01:54

Harry should have gone to visit with kids when they were invite.

Yes. She might not have been expected to die quite so soon, but anyone could see that it was likely to be her last summer.

Twistybranch · 04/10/2024 01:57

Turns out Hansen has been in the on out for a while….This was in the Times in December 2023 before it was taken down. But someone archived it

https://archive.is/lqdH9

interesting that it says that she was the one putting feelers out….but she said in VF that people were approaching her for work!

If she was reaching out in Dec 2023, when she joined in May 2022- then it must have been bad from the get go

BruFord · 04/10/2024 02:16

This is the fundamental problem that I think drives a lot of their decisions. They are trying to live a billionaire lifestyle but they 'only' have millions at their disposal.

Exactly, @MrsLeonFarrell. Most of us could live extremely comfortable and contented lives on their money, but they seem to want the billionaire lifestyle without having a viable way to earn that kind of cash.

hepsitemiz · 04/10/2024 06:23

Glooop · 03/10/2024 20:18

Who is she going to lay in to - KC3 whilst he is recovering from cancer? W&K whilst they are juggling the same?

However she wasn't concerned about treating her own father with distain when he was very seriously ill - or PP when he was on end of life care when she did OW - or HMTLQ when she threatened in The Cut - 2 days before she died (when the world knew she was on her last legs).

She only has one shot and I think she will keep her powder dry of any expose until she divorces PH - and then it will likely be about him - that's where the dirt will be as others have said MM was likely kept at arms length as no one trusted her so she doesn't really have much insider info ?

Edited

Yes MM was kept at arms length but I imagine she may just have additional dirt/insider info on the RF through Harry, from listening to his warped and largely baseless rants about historic grudges.
But I do agree she’d likely not go there, seeing how it backfired (eventually if not immediately) on previous occasions.

Ooh that article is priceless if only for the explanation behind the name Three Gates. Apparently it’s one of Meghan’s favourite filters before you speak - you should put what you plan to say through three tests: Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind? (All coming from the Persian poet Rumi - of ancient times…)

I mean I kind of howled at the irony.

MrsLeonFarrell · 04/10/2024 07:25

@Twistybranch

"Also this Hansen woman ain’t getting no clients with the disaster that is Meghan n Harry’s PR."

This was exactly my thought as I was reading that article. The last person I would want doing my PR is anyone who has worked with Harry and Meghan.

Which might actually be unfair because she may not have been listened to and her advice followed. However people look at results in that field. Time will tell I suppose.

the biggest difference of which needs more work, is when people from the top start listening

https://people.com/prince-harry-calls-for-change-during-fireside-chat-lesotho-sentebale-8721932

I wish people could actually hear what they’re saying. The message is valid. But not just in this context. Practice what you preach springs to mind.

Harry's problem is that since he left as a working royal he has jumped on every popular bandwagon going. He had a history of making an impact with Invictus and Sentebele but it's been diluted by all the grandiose statements from The Office of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex about:
Covid treatment and advice
Black lives matter
Me too
Ukraine
Voting registration
Parental leave
Bullying
Press legislation

These are just off the top of my head. It makes him seem like a dilettante rather than a serious player. So when he says (assuming he did and it isn't the Mail making things up)

"We're hitting the targets, not just Sentebale but all of the departments are, and it's making a massive difference, and it is this surge of energy and optimism and the voice of young people ranging from six to 25 — and the biggest difference of which really needs more work, is when people from the top start listening,"

I start to wonder, what exact targets are you hitting, what quantifiable difference are you making? And who are the people at the top (and what are they the top of ) and how do they know to listen to you and your "young people" on this rather than any other random subject you have said something about?

I think it's a great pity he didn't focus when he left because he might then be making the impact he obviously wants to make.

Well done for trying to steer this thread back on track - I hoped to see some details of his trip but guess I'll have to Google them. These threads all morph into the same old have-a-bash ones and some of them become a tad repetitive.

Zippedydodah · 04/10/2024 07:56

Three Gate draws its name from a proverb often attributed to Rumi, which posits that a person should let their words pass through “three gates” before speaking: “Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind?” Hansen said that Meghan helped her brainstorm a name for the company, and remembering their shared affection for the saying, the selection felt like a “lightbulb moment.”

Ye gods and baby goldfishes , how utterly ironic considering the lies and spite behind so much of the Sussex's words and actions so far 😵‍💫

JSMill · 04/10/2024 08:08

@MrsLeonFarrell you missed out the statement about the withdrawal from Afghanistan where they said they were 'speechless' at events.

Zippedydodah · 04/10/2024 08:12

@MrsLeonFarrell would that be the Royal ‘we’ hitting the targets?

Rumours online that Hansen is the person from the HR article that was the high up staff member that revealed that Meghan is difficult to work for

Interestingly in the archived times article from 9months ago, where it revealed that Hansen was going…..it’s said was going because she doesn’t listen. Which I think is what was said in the HR article too.
