Just looking at the photos of Harry in Lesotho . Don’t know when I last saw him looking so relaxed and happy .
Nice to see.

I wonder what will happen when the Sussex dcs grow into adulthood? Will they behave like their Aunt Samantha and stand at the gates of KP and demand to see their relatives?

I should imagine they will only need to ask (politely), once they are old enough to visit independently.

Give it ten years or so, unless those children have been totally brainwashed, or are as dim as Harry, natural curiosity and teenage bolshiness will have them on the internet looking it all up, and checking what age you need to be to buy a plane ticket in California.

😂😂

Can you imagine the kids picking Harry's book up?

Long term I think H & M will split and he will rebuild family relationships. I cannot imagine how it would work out for them to stay together with the kids in a weird bubble without any family links.

He needs to rebuild trust which he's never going to do with Meghan beside him.

I also imagine he's going to want the kids to get a posh private schooling, Eton, Gordonston is there an equivalent in the US?

I don’t know if Harry would want that. He wasn’t happy at Eton himself. Shudder to think what his kids are going to make of the tales of his todger, and losing his virginity in a field. It’s all so undignified. So little like ‘our own dear departed Queen’…

I still cannot get past the juxtaposition of the grandiose title of prince alongside the casual nickname style name of Archie. It will never not sound foolish to me. Nothing wrong with the name Archie but Prince Archie looks and sounds ridiculous. Like something Katie Price or Michael Jackson would come up with.
They made a fool out of that poor boy with his name (and the same goes for his sister) and they are too dim to see it. They should've gone with Archie but ditched the prince title or put Archibald on the birth certificate. As if Diana and Charles would've ever put 'Harry' on Harry's birth cert.

Then they made matters even worse with the laughable 'Harrison' middle name. Ah how clever! He's Harry's son. Poetic.

As ever, they have zero taste or sense of decorum in anything. No taste, no dignity, no common sense.

No class. I think that’s the problem.

Onlyonekenobe · 15/10/2024 15:13

I actually gasped when I read in the news that they'd named their daughter after QE2's nickname. I'm far more cynical than the average person (who isn't in Hollywood or politics or the media), but even I was shocked by that. "Collaborate with the Queen" made me snort with an "omg". Lilibet was full-on gasp with a "they can't really be THAT cheap?!".

As time goes on (ie, post-Spare) I also think it's really mean to put that on the poor child. Those poor kids born into such baggage of their own parents' making.

BruFord · 15/10/2024 16:00

Funnily enough, my DS (16) mentioned that he knows a boy who’s a prince. He casually told me this while we were walking the dog! Apparently he abides by certain dress codes
(cultural norms, he never wears shorts, for example) but no one treats him any differently here in the US.

From a safety perspective, that’s probably the best way to handle it, don’t draw attention to the children, let them blend in.

Needanewname42 · 15/10/2024 16:11

@BruFord Prince of where through?

The British RF have their dress codes for formal / working occasions but off duty they wear whatever the heck they want.

Kate is also careful with the children that they were classic styled clothes on formal occasions, inc their birthday photos, so they don't look dated when fashions change.

No class. I think that’s the problem.

They say money cannot buy class but actually from the examples I can think of, I think many manage the transformation and acquire the necessary spit and polish to form at least a veneer of class and good taste. But those two are hopeless, completely lacking in any admirable, or even suitable, qualities.

Yip he never thought that through when he wrote it.

It's like he's very impulsive, boom, then later 'shit what have I done'.

While he was under the Palace control they'll have slowed him down but he's wild on his own. Meghan seems to encourage him to react which makes him 10x worse.

Which really can't be great for his mental health either.

@Needanewname42 I believe Middle Eastern, no idea which country. All DS said is that he never wears shorts or anything short-sleeved, presumably he needs to remain covered up. That’s the norm in several countries and religions and it wouldn’t particularly stand out here in the US, it’s a proper melting pot!

My point is simply that having a title here doesn’t need to be a big deal, people won’t know unless you tell them. I think Harry’s children could easily blend in and no one’s interested enough at this point to target them.

I don’t suppose they knew Archie would have red hair when he was born though 🤷‍♀️😆
I do wonder if Archie was deliberately chosen because they already had the idea of “Archewell”. I just find the whole thing really contrived

It makes me think that they’re going to continue to mould those poor children to fit their warped narrative, goodness knows how that will go.
Lilbet’s Closet? wtf…..

Edited

I can't see her ever actually doing anything about Lilibet's Closet.
She has no flair or passion for clothing. Her outfits are generic, blah and sometimes really bad taste. Admittedly she likes to feel she looks good and is being admired, but that's not the same thing at all. Her only chance of success would be to find someone talented and then just put her name to it, even that probably wouldn't work because her name has very little standing.

It wouldn't bring her the adulation she craves. I think all the money has made her lose her drive, she had her chance to launch stuff when they were riding the wave of first moving out to the US. She's blown so many chances. At the point of their marriage, they had an endless array of options - there are so many amazing lifestyles they could have chosen from! All wasted on them because they have zero imagination and are brainless, bitter, petty people.

BasiliskStare · 15/10/2024 18:07

@Alectoishome I think they are lacking in talent - I think it as the chap who criticized their spotify contract who said

Harry spoke with multiple producers and production houses, these people said, to discuss possible shows. Along the way, Harry listened to various ideas from others but mostly stuck by his own — including one about childhood trauma. The concept: Harry would interview a procession of controversial guests, such as Vladimir Putin, Mark Zuckerberg and Donald Trump, about their early formative years and how those experiences resulted in the adults they are today.

Why woul any of those want to speak to Harry - slightly hubristic on H's part I think.

MaturingCheeseball · 15/10/2024 18:16

Don’t forget the Pope 😁

BasiliskStare · 15/10/2024 18:35

@MaturingCheeseball - Forgot the Pope . Do you think Harry forgot the Pope normally invites you for an audience - not the other way around 😂

Archie was George's secret service code name. Lilibet wasn't the first name they nicked.

Harry maybe it thinks it works along the lines of 'I'll have my people call your people'. Like his 'global communications chief' would have the Curia on speed dial.

It's delusional.

MaturingCheeseball · 15/10/2024 18:16

Don’t forget the Pope 😁

Poor Pope Francis, who seems to be a decent man, up there on Harry's Interview Hit List with Putin and Trump.

Mind you he might have told him to stop being so daft

BruFord · 15/10/2024 19:55

I imagine that having been treated as a VIP since birth, Harry is having a difficult time accepting that people aren’t so interested in him now. It must be odd, when you’re used to being flooded with invitations, to suddenly not be. Or for your people to call and be told no thank you.

Baital · 15/10/2024 19:56

Exactly. As a working member of the RF his people would know how to approach the Pope's people (and would screen out unreasonable requests).

That was The Firm and all those annoying insects, not Harry personally.

It's ironic really that leaving because he believed he wasn't considered important enough (and I think that is at least part of the motivation, given certain comments) has lead to him being much, much less important.

He had a face like a kite on finding he was expected to rub shoulders with a lift full of plebs a while back. Likewise when he was seated in the halfway to the back cheap seats at the Bob Marley premiere and didn't even get the free water.

He might have found freedom but he's also found a whole new world 😀

BruFord · 15/10/2024 20:18

@CathyorClaire Yes, we plebs are rather awful, aren’t we?! 🤣

Apparently we are sweaty unwashed peasants with pits from the pits of hell💩

Private lifts as one is accustomed too are the correct mode of rising between floors 🎩👑

BasiliskStare · 15/10/2024 21:14

Ach - the more I read the more I think Harry is a self aborbed twit.

I can imagine him talking to the Pope and the Catholic Church and calling them "You guys "

My own opinion - others are available.

Mummyoflittledragon · 16/10/2024 05:23

Personally I cannot stand the propensity to use “you guys”, which now seems to pervade modern society. I find it grating, so sexist.
