What to make of the fact that he appeared without Meghan and looked quite anxious and stressed?

You do know 'royal blood' is just ordinary blood, don't you? It isn't physically different from non-royal blood...

Whaaaaat?! I thought it was blue?!

Uricon2 · 28/09/2024 13:00

yesmen · 28/09/2024 12:51

But why?

He is of royal blood. He is actually a prince.

He never said he wanted to leave the royal family. He did say he wanted to live independently.

And he does.

Why? As part of his " bite back against an inherently unjust system" in your words. A system based on primogeniture (and much fairer now the late Queen had it changed to birth order without regard of sex)

He's not biting back against the system at all though, just his position in it.

Blood is not actually royal. They are no different DNA or blood wise than anyone else as far as being a human is concerned. They are not other worldly or ordained by a deity. Take away the titles and privileges and they are you and me. Titles can and have been removed in history. When monarchies have been abolished you don’t keep your King or Prince title.

It may well be me, but I did not take it as cruel or demeaning.

The comments made in adulthood about the matron??

I wouldn't know what to say about that while remaining civil, so it's probably better that I say nothing at all

Hughs · 28/09/2024 13:03

Yes, he's basically having a decades long tantrum because when he was born he was only third in line to the throne instead of second.

IsoldeWagner · 28/09/2024 13:04

@BunnyLake spot on. I don't know why people would ever consider the likes of Harry to be better than them! "Royal Blood"?! 😂

People are challenging the earlier claim that Harry is "biting back" against an unfair system.

He really isn't.

He has been fairly consistent - his gripe is with the tabloid press.

Then why allow their "Global Communications" person to give them stories? Set up a WhatsApp to include the Daily Mail, among others, for briefings?
He loves the tabloid press. Just not when they're negative about him and his wife.

I do see the whole class system in the Uk as very problematic. But that is my political view.

I never saw PH as a class warrior though. His fight seems to be against the tabloids and I would join him in that, even if for differnt reasons.

I completely agree with you on that point.

I do not believe in the monarchy at all.

I am firmly in the "abolish it" camp.

Philosophically, I dislike the notion of built in "better than".

Then why on earth are you saying things like royal blood and born a Prince so you can’t take the title away? Those views seem at odds with the above.

Maybe it is more of a play fair type thing.

When the listened to and deleted Millie Dowlers messages they put her in danger.

We know they have behaved in illegal ways for decades. If is very good to flush it out and try and clean it up. They us their power and money to circumvent justice for ordinary citzens.

We only pay attention when a celeb gets nailed. Fair enough, most of lead busy lives.

But they start to malign Stephan Lawerence's mother - things get very dark indeed,

Because the whole bloody thing is predicated on being born into it, having bloodline.

You cannot work towrds it, be elected into it, buy it, etc. You can only access it by being born into it.

So mine is a challenge of sorts - if, as many want, he were to be stripped of this, that, and the other it would not matter.

Because if you believe in a monarchy then you believe that he will never not be a prince.

He has been fairly consistent - his gripe is with - his father, his brother, his step mother, his sister in law, his advisors, his colleagues.....

Who've I missed?

No, you can believe in a monarchy and believe that those who choose to opt out, can.
Louise and James aren't prince and princess.
It's entirely possible.
Of course it limits your money making

Off with your head - you racist scumbag.....

It's probably the coke come down after his birthday celebrations...

This was also implied by Lady CC who sniffed dramatically.

I can see the expectation in Harry but I'm not seeing the education and training. Did you see the recent appearance he made where he slounged in his chair and didn't stand up and acknowledge the two female speakers as they came onto the stage, and then referred to them repeatedly as 'you guys'. You would never guess his royal background if you didn't know.

He’s very bad mannered at times despite some people saying he’s charming. Charming when it suits him. He has that ‘toff’ arrogance about him. I’ve seen and heard him be incredibly rude and dismissive to people on video, in that way people who think they’re superior to you can be.

The Chief Executive of an organisation also has "staff who will organise all their travel, organise their diaries and calls, people who will brief them, people who will help them with their styling, make up, speech writers, communicatios [sic] and so on.

Do you think CEOs don't work hard?

CEOs have to do a hell of a lot more than younger members of the RF.

Yes his gripe is with the tabloids.
But William seems to have got a better balance with the tabloids than their parents managed with them. We don't see photoshoots of the current Wales kids on casual days out or holidays.
