See all these wise posters, lots of what we have said has been ‘confirmed’ by other sources

article in the DM:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/royals/article-13874743/Harry-Meghan-Hollywood-turns-Sussexes-ALISON-BOSHOFF-venom-schadenfreude.html

https://archive.ph/xgEdv

One senior Hollywood publicist tells me: 'First of all, everyone industry-wide, EVERYONE reads The Hollywood Reporter. It's really striking that WME did not stop this running.'
She adds: 'WME normally – you would think – would have been threatening and denying access to other stars. Was this done here?

Thats exactly what we all thought! it’s strange how they are letting this stuff out.

As we have all seen in recent days, the dark art of covering up and killing stories- look at Al Fayed and what he got away with. So WME have done nothing???

Also, Harry attending an event in his own because Meghan is sick. No. This is part of separating their ‘brands’- I doubt she will attend any future events like these with Harry.

Seems like the wheels are falling off to me!

Has Hollywood turned on the Sussexes? Industry bigwigs reveal all

Days after a brutal take-down in The Hollywood Reporter, which labelled Meghan as 'Duchess Difficult', neither she nor Harry attended her talent agent's Emmys after party.

Wasnt she blacklisted in Hollywood also after doing the voice over work for Disney with the elephants documentary which firstly was panned for her saccharine, syrupy insipid narrstion and secondly she declared she was donating her fee to the elephant charity who then reported a year later that they never received the money?

I have no idea. I just copy pasted for other interested posters who couldn’t read the article behind a pay wall.

BigWillyLittleTodger · 25/09/2024 23:34

Roles which would require real connection with emotions outside her narrow understanding would probably be impossible for her.

South Park was very insightful, she is an empty vessel and I think she knows this herself, I don’t think she has any depth of emotion for anything or anybody apart from herself, hence the performative PDA’s, the gazing and clinging onto Harry, the hugging of everyone she meets, in her head this is what people in love do, this is what warm affectionate people do, so she performs ‘the act’ she doesn’t feel the emotions but she performs them, it’s a narcissistic trait, they don’t feel emotion for others but know what emotion and feelings should look like and hence why the majority of people see her as completely fake.

I agree but they do feel their own emotion intensely when its negative though.

Its amplified and disproportionate and expressed as narcissistic rage.

Interesting , the DM has said that Meghan and Harry have declined to comment on the Daily Beast article.

Eh?! Why aren’t they suing? Never mind commenting

oh wait……..

The only celeb having a worse week is P Diddy!

Also, the clapback from US weekly.

Exactly what posters on here predicted! a witch hunt to find who was the high up source who leaked….so they think their smart by getting staff to talk to try and sniff out who snitched…..all told to a friendly media outlet.

Wonder why People didnt touch it?

I'm remembering the "it's not my job to coddle people" remark by Meghan a few years ago in a different light. Her definition of "coddle" probably isn't the same as most people's.

She and Ellen are two of a kind. Her comedy special yesterday was absolutely shocking. You don't have to be a bitch to be a 'strong woman'. It's perfectly possible to be a firm, decisive leader who is sure of her decisions and decent at the same time.

Nothing better to do with their lives?

Sad really....

I see it’s turning into a full on PR warfare at the US over this issue. The thing about going on the attack though, you tend to reveal more than you would have if you just kept quiet.

Take this section from the US Weekly article:

Ashley Hansen, global press secretary to the duke and duchess and the head of communications for Archewell, says her bosses couldn’t have been more supportive when she had to take some extended time off for a serious surgery. “When I told them, I was met with the kind of concern and care a parent would express if it were their own child,” she recalls. “I was asked what I needed, how and if they could help, and told to take as much time as I needed.” Hansen says Harry and Meghan sent flowers and care packages, “but most profoundly to me, Meghan would personally reach out to my husband daily to make sure that we both were OK and had support,” she adds. “It meant so much to him and even more to me. You don’t realize how much that kind of kindness and thought means until you need it.”

As a line manager of many, many years, this rang so many alarm bells. Your employees are not your friends. It is completely appropriate for them to have boundaries between being at work and their private life. When they are on holidays and particularly when they are on sick leave, that is their private time.

The story Ashley tells here - she needed serious surgery. So she was off work for some time. She had a husband around her, at least, to look after her. As her boss, Meghan knew why Ashley was absent from work, and knew she was being cared for. Given the surgery was presumably known about in advance, Meghan and Ashley could (and should) have agreed how long the planned recovery would take, and how Ashley would update Meghan on her planned return to work. That’s appropriate,

Read the story above. Meghan calling her employee’s husband daily while she was recovering from surgery. That is completely out of order. It’s totally eroding their boundaries and massively overstepping her role as an employer. It comes across as controlling. Imagine how you’d feel if your spouse’s boss called you daily while your spouse was on sick leave!

So this story, presented literally as an example of Meghan being kind and thoughtful, shows actually she’s a nightmare boss with no concept of boundaries…

These are a few extracts from an article on the LaineyGossip website, Lainey who is friends with Meghan and Scobie, who has never published one word about them that could be construed in any way negative, what writes about Meghan and Harry as if they are the second coming, (although writes bullying articles about Catherine). The Hollywood Reporter bullying report was not even mentioned at the time, but Laineygossip are now mentioning the clapback. !

The insinuation from the Laineygossp article, being that NONE of the major players would touch their clapback.

"It’s been about two weeks since The Hollywood Reporter published a report on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle about “Why Hollywood Keeps Quitting [Them]”. Many took this to be a hit piece, focusing on staff departures, with unnamed sources sh-tting on their leadership style and, in particular, Meghan described as a “dictator in high heels”.

It’s giving Daily Mail energy but the problem for the Sussexes is that The Hollywood Reporter isn’t a tabloid, it’s a Hollywood trade, and Harry and Meghan are doing business in Hollywood now and a lot of people in Hollywood read and work with THR.

there are still … questions, questions from the media angle and why Harry and Meghan made such a curious choice in Us Weekly.

It’s understandable that they’d want to address that negative piece in The Hollywood Reporter by placing a more positive counterresponse in another publication. But… GB News and now Us Weekly are not on the same level as The Hollywood Reporter.

It's especially weird considering it’s not like there wouldn’t be other options available to Harry and Meghan, right? That’s the question that people in media that I’ve talked to are asking.

Why wouldn’t they take this exclusive to, say, PEOPLE. Or Vanity Fair. Or Puck. Other publications that are more on the level with The Hollywood Reporter? Was Us Weekly their first choice? Think of how a publicist would operate, and publicists SHOULD know this game.

If you’re clapping back at THR, do you call your contacts at PEOPLE/Vanity Fair/Variety/The Wrap/Puck etc? Or do you call Us Weekly?

If Us Weekly wasn’t the first choice, how far down the line would Us Weekly have been…? What does it mean that this exclusive landed at Us Weekly and NOT elsewhere? "

Would you work for Harry and Meghan? Ex-employees say run away.

Why Hollywood Keeps Quitting on Harry and Meghan

I agree. And the striking thing is also that when members of both Meghan and Harry’s actual family have been seriously ill, they don’t seem to have been half as concerned. Indeed when the late Queen was fairly obviously getting toward the end of her long life, they didn’t go and visit her even though they were in the country with a day free 🤔

Defend themselves from what?

No legal action has been taken. Nor have the allegations been denied.

Well, in my defence, I wasn’t talking in the legal sense.

hepsitemiz · 26/09/2024 08:27

Totally agree with you, Serenster. I would hate to be on the receiving end of that kind of involvement in my personal life. Especially from my boss. It would creep me the hell out.

I wonder if Megs has any idea how intrusive and wrong that behaviour is? It would seem not, if these are the stories she's asking people to come out with to paint her as a good boss.

Yet she's in her early forties - how could she be so mistaken?

Thedom · 26/09/2024 08:30

Edited to add, this is how Lainey describes US weekly,

Us Weekly was pretty trash, much closer to InTouch and Life & Style than what it used to be. It’s basically been a whole decade since Us Weekly was taken seriously.

IcedPurple · 26/09/2024 08:43

Sunsetand · 26/09/2024 08:23

THR stand by their story, which has not been denied or legally challenged. What exactly do you expect from them at this stage?

Yes smilesy. The narrative they paint of themselves as the as the fount of all care and compassion seems to come to a juddering halt when you get to the people who normally would have a claim on that.

cheezncrackers · 26/09/2024 09:07

@smilesy and @Serenster I agree with all the points you make. Totally overstepping as a boss to call the DH of an unwell employee EVERY SINGLE DAY while she was off. Again, it's like Meghan is play-acting being kind and a good boss, while actually acting completely inappropriately.

And the contrast between the way she's so over-the-top caring with someone who works for her and the complete lack of giving a shit about her own FATHER, who raised her on his own when her DM disappeared for years, is very striking. She's fake. I thought she was fake from the moment I saw their engagement interview, but at that point I just put it down to her being an actress and being a bit nervous and overwhelmed by the position she suddenly found herself in.

THR doubled down on their expose when they were straight out of the blocks the next day giving an exclusive online face to face interview to Access Hollywood where their editor Maer Roshan revealed that one of their 12 sources was someone senior still working there.

Whereas the MM crisis and issues PR response effort have taken almost two weeks to cobble together a rebuttal and find a publication to print it.

Desperate.

Some bits of that Jan Moir article did make me lol.

I’m really interested to see where the Sussexes go from here. I suspect they’ll brush it off and carry on as normal! When’s their next tour?
