See all these wise posters, lots of what we have said has been ‘confirmed’ by other sources

article in the DM:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/royals/article-13874743/Harry-Meghan-Hollywood-turns-Sussexes-ALISON-BOSHOFF-venom-schadenfreude.html

https://archive.ph/xgEdv

One senior Hollywood publicist tells me: 'First of all, everyone industry-wide, EVERYONE reads The Hollywood Reporter. It's really striking that WME did not stop this running.'
She adds: 'WME normally – you would think – would have been threatening and denying access to other stars. Was this done here?

Thats exactly what we all thought! it’s strange how they are letting this stuff out.

As we have all seen in recent days, the dark art of covering up and killing stories- look at Al Fayed and what he got away with. So WME have done nothing???

Also, Harry attending an event in his own because Meghan is sick. No. This is part of separating their ‘brands’- I doubt she will attend any future events like these with Harry.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13875773/sick-meghan-markle-prince-harry-kevin-costner-charity-event.html

Seems like the wheels are falling off to me!

Has Hollywood turned on the Sussexes? Industry bigwigs reveal all

Days after a brutal take-down in The Hollywood Reporter, which labelled Meghan as 'Duchess Difficult', neither she nor Harry attended her talent agent's Emmys after party.

Interesting article. I would say in this case, perhaps both are true. Just 2 different aspects. My dd has a friend, who blows hot and cold. She’s currently an ex friend as she seriously overstepped (again) recently. For context, the girls are 16. I hope she will at some stage get past this erratic behaviour as it must be more unpleasant for her to be manifesting the behaviour than to be on the receiving end.

OMG....its taken them over 10 days to coerce and cajole a couple of staff members to put their names to MM's spin phrases.

"Another anonymous source insists the Duke and Duchess 'water the seedsfor them to flourish.'

Haha - its soooo transparent who uses florid word salad like this????

I wonder if the press release issued was written in swirly gold caligraphy 😂and accompanied with a jar of jam in a bowl of lemons.

No ones buying it.

Try harder and faster next time.

Hmm I think that is a very carefully worded comment by Josh Kettler

Agree.

Josh Kettler, Harry's chief of staff who left after just three months in August, sparking the latest round of negative publicity, insists he was 'warmly welcomed' by both Harry and Meghan and describes them as 'dedicated and hardworking'.

Why wouldnt he be warmly welcomed? Dedicated to what?

Says more by whats not said.

I think that phrase must have come from a US member of staff. It sounds a bit odd (overblown) for British English

Its straight out of MM own mouth IMHO 'anonymous source'?? 🙄

Why would Josh Kettler even comment in an article that’s favourable to Meghan and Harry if he’d had a bad experience though? Surely he’d just say nothing?

Puzzledandpissedoff · 24/09/2024 22:25

Well, both Kettler and Browning's comments are very carefully worded and open to interpretation, Hansen who's most effusive is their current head of PR so their words are to be expected, and the rest are unnamed "sources"

And none of it explains why, if things are rosy, so many staff have left - and often very quickly

So all in all not much of an effort

Maybe he is trying to get another job and demonstrating his ability to be diplomatic?

Maybe he was not personally a victim of problematic / bullying behaviour - but possibly seen and heard enough early doors to decide he was out?

Wonder who the Sr employee still currently working there who provided the expose to THR is...?

My moneys on PH (he's 'v v charming - no airs and graces') maybe it is the only way he can escape?

This
It’s way too much, dial it down and it might be more believable.

At least its watering the seeds rather than anyone sowing their seeds. The passing on of second hand children's goods also a bit weird to be discussing. Everything is always just that bit too much, less is more is a concept that seems unknown to them.

RestlessDollyMaunder · 25/09/2024 01:18

I know! I wonder what posters on these threads did before they had the Sussexes to spew their bile over. I don't know anyone in real life who gives them a second thought.

I agree.

I’m still of the opinion that the THR article was mainly a mishmash of old articles. And it didn’t convince me that Meghan is a bully.

It will be interesting to see if THR continues to defend itself. Another article from them perhaps?

I thought the car seat bit was particularly strange too. How many spares did they have that they can give them away here and there? 🤔😂

That what I thought. Love bombed with performative gift giving

I agree, EdithWeston - that kind of cutesy, Disney apple-pie stuff tends to make British people gag!

...spew their bile...😁 Like it!

Well, you're about the 1000th poster to ask this question so, if you read the threads, you'll find a lot of answers. I answered it myself yesterday (again!).

They're the gift that keeps on giving, basically, and very entertaining.

Thedom · 25/09/2024 09:23

It’s all so transparent LOL, similar to the 5 friends who spoke glowingly to People , disclosing the existence of a private and very personal letter, without ever asking MM if it was okay for the 5 of them to talk to the media and announce to the world she had sent a letter to her father, yeah rightio 🤪🤪🤪.

We know, from theIr NDA’s from a simple school visit, they only allow positive comments about them. In fact, if I remember correctly it encouraged positive comments. Can you just imagine what an employee NDA must consist of and how many hoops and submissions they would have had to issue to The Sussex’s before the comments were approved and signed off? Probably signed off via a legal route too so no one could slip up and add in anything seen as a negative. You do wonder what the pressure must be like on the staff.

Mummyoflittledragon · 25/09/2024 09:27

smilesy · 24/09/2024 22:10

Lots of typically narc style “love bomb performative gifting” seems to take place 😆

And I agree that there is a lot of “careful wording” of the praise that is given to the Sussexes

It does sound intrusive, which is why I think both can be true. This is what I meant in my post upthread about dd’s friend, who has been oscillating from telling dd how much to loves her to being darn right horrible. If a UK employer reached out daily to support an employee taking time off to care for their ill child, this could be viewed as harassment.

I was almost buying it until I saw “water the seeds for them to flourish”. Honestly that’s got Meghan all over it. It’s major word salad. No one speaks like that unless they are majorly self involved and pretentious or sucking up to someone.

So whilst I might have given them the benefit of the doubt I can see right through their attempts to cajole staff to write and even sing their own praises.

I have two managers. One that I love, one that I hate. If I were to describe the one I love I would say she is “warm” “motherly” and “caring”. The one I hate I would describe as “arrogant”, “victim blaming” and an “enabler” of bullies. That’s it. I don’t need to write superfluous word salad to express my opinions. My description sounds closer to the HR’s comments than the sycophantic employees gushing on how amazing they are. I love my manager but she’s not the best thing sliced bread and neither is Meghan. It definitely makes me re-evaluate my views on Harry. I thought all of this mess was down to him. But apart from being bitter and spoilt, he actually seems a decent guy. Meghan seems like hard work at best, a bully at worst.

FloofPaws · 25/09/2024 09:37

@PrettyFlyforaMaiTai - they lost me at getting the best ... when the best would avoid these idiots now and would have done for quite some time now - their reputation is more tsunami than making ripples

The watering of seeds also implies failure of the employees, unless they are trainees at the early stages they should be competent members of the workforce.I also hate freebies, if I'm working hard then give me a financial bonus not overpriced gifts that places undue emotional pressure and uses the power of wealth from employers to employees and adds either perceived or real favouritism in the work force.

Agreed, it's paternalistic virtue signaling and emotionally manipulative.
