Meghans trademark not allowed

The patent office apparently has turned down the trademark of Meghans new jam making business American Riviera Orchard on the grounds that you can't trademark geographical locations. You would have thought somebody would have picked up on this before now.

But not MM's?

Lord No ! She is elevated to the ranks of sainthood alongside his mother!
Sad really. He is a lost soul at heart.

Excuuuuse you, don't you know she is not only a saint but she also communes with the spirit of Diana - firstly by laying her hands upon Diana's gravestone and secondly by doing yoga (it was during a yoga session that M claimed Diana had spoken to her and told her she and Harry were doing the right thing, don't forget).

So she is not only a saint, she is also a psychic medium of truly magnificent powers. We peons must give her the respect she merits! 😂

Good God!
My initial reaction was "REALLY?" but I'm sure you know what you're talking about.
Is this another gem from "Spare"?

I always think Meghan is on pins whenever Harry is let off the leash to speak for himself. She obviously wanted to control the narrative without even more of the awkward moments that occur when Harry looks embarrassed by her claims. He is not v good at hiding his true feelings ( classic being the curtsy story . He looked mortified and as though he was inwardly cringing ). He isn't man enough to speak.up however so once Meghan has told 'her truth ' he is forced to go along with it. He is a weak man basically .

I always used to think, when he was younger, that he was in the Prince Philip mould of being a bit gaffe-prone and alpha male. Stiff Upper Lip and all that, personified on that barge trip he insisted on standing for. (Pp I mean)
time has shown him to be the polar opposite of PP. the only thing you can say is that he looks quite a lot like him. I bet PP is spinning in his grave at Harry's betrayals.

Rummly · 10/09/2024 14:20

I suppose tourists ‘tour’, strictly speaking. But used in this way doesn’t the word really mean ‘official tour’, like a Royal tour or a Prime Ministerial or Presidential tour?

Taylor Swift - and other pop people - have named tours. And you get book tours. But they’re all part of a commercial life. They sell tickets and flog stuff.

As far as I can see, H&M’s ‘tours’ are holidays or excursions. They’re not representing anything or anyone and they’re not performing for paying crowds.

In future I think I’ll call my summer holiday ‘the Rummly tour of Dorset, Costa Blanca, wherever.’

Theredfoxfliesatmidnight · 10/09/2024 14:22

As an aside I didn't realise their polo documentary was actually called POLO, I thought posters were calling it that as a piss take!! But no it is actually called polo, not a lot of imagination went into the name clearly, but maybe the doc itself has had a bit more thought poured into it.

I don't see the resemblance at all. Prince Philip was way more handsome and finer featured.

Mymanyellow · 10/09/2024 14:41

I bet people will watch that polo documentary though. Not because they are fans of H&M but just because they want to see the batshittery at first hand. Hate watching I believe it’s called.
Another tour this year is astounding haven’t they got any one to tell them they are making themselves into a laughing stock?

Meh, I think they will click on out of curiosity and if it is dull switch off and not go back for a second episode.

Rumshotsandrainshowers · 10/09/2024 14:55

tours is the only thing they’ve done where a/its arguably decent publicity as in, it’s not as bad as normal. And b/they actually get to act like royalty. Which will be a huge huge attraction for them. They are going ri go on as many tours as possible to get thr vip treatment 😂

They didn't watch 'Live to Lead' though. Or 'Heart of Invictus'.

People may watch the first episode out of curiosity. But an entire series about rich blokes on horses? In the weeks before Christmas? I doubt it. Hate watching has its limits.

No, it is a gem from the US journo Kinsey Schofield - praised by Andrew Morton as a good source so not just any fly by night.

Allegedly at the Platty Jubes Beatrice overheard Meghan say to Prince Harry: ‘Your mum talked to me this morning during yoga and she’s really glad that we’re here.’

You may now laugh or vomit as per your inclination.

FWIW I don't think Meghan really thinks she can commune with Diana. I just think she recognises it's a great way to manipulate Haz.

I know Diana was a bit woo at times with psychics etc (and I'm quite sure M knows it) but that's just manipulation, either that or she's crazy. I can imagine H thinking "well Mum did believe in this stuff" and swallowing it. Really unpleasant actually.

Extremely unpleasant. There's something very dark and twisted about exploiting misguided ideas about supernatural forces to control a vulnerable family member.

Mymanyellow · 10/09/2024 16:13

That’s so manipulative. Harry must be in need of loads of therapy if he gives that any credence though.

Mymanyellow · 10/09/2024 16:14

Oh and you’re probably all right about the polo thing falling flat. Just turning on the first episode.

Abouttimeforanamechange · 10/09/2024 16:32

I don't see the resemblance at all. Prince Philip was way more handsome and finer featured.

And Philip rarely talked about himself. People who interviewed him said how difficult it was to get him to talk abut anything remotely personal.

Sentebale began in Lesotho and is also active in Botswana, so I suppose there is some logic to them going there - if they stick to promoting the work of Sentebale, and if H is allowed to take the lead, rather than M always being front and centre, wearing inappropriate clothes. (Anyone want to bet....?)

IsoldeWagner · 10/09/2024 16:37

I think it's a shocking level of manipulation that Meghan claims she can communicate with/channel the spirit of Diana. Just awful

BasiliskStare · 10/09/2024 16:39

@Mymanyellow

Another tour this year is astounding haven’t they got any one to tell them they are making themselves into a laughing stock?

I suspect they have , or would have if they didn't keep sacking them ( part by mutual assent ) I think the problem is they just don't want to listen. I think they have set up their own little echo chamber .

I wonder if Africa Parks will get a mention ?

If the purported visit to those countries is connected to charities Harry supports, why should Meghan be there at all? Spouses don't have to accompany each other on work related travel. Especially when they have very young children at home. Most parents are reluctant even to leave young children overnight, let alone travelling to other continents without them, but these two have been doing it since both children were babies.

Mymanyellow · 10/09/2024 16:13

He clearly does give it credence as he talks about other supernatural happenings in Spare. For example, sealions singing to him and Meghan in Scotland, blessing their union. And Meghan lying on Diana's grave and clutching the headstone in order to recieve guidance.

IsoldeWagner · 10/09/2024 16:57

They had Diana's image next to the pregnancy test, and in the labour room, like a religious icon. It's very, very unhealthy..
