Meghans trademark not allowed

The patent office apparently has turned down the trademark of Meghans new jam making business American Riviera Orchard on the grounds that you can't trademark geographical locations. You would have thought somebody would have picked up on this before now.

@ShamedBySiri 😂😂
Oh that's a great one 😁!

What about “ we got married 3 days earlier” ?

Oh, yes, I’d forgotten about that. Thank you.

  1. Secret ‘marriage’.
  2. Spontaneous Mandela-level celebrations from the people of South Africa.
  3. Two-hour Popeye Doyle style car chase through Manhattan.
Mylovelygreendress · 07/09/2024 17:26

Let’s not forget Meghan saying she had her car keys and passport taken from her as soon as she married and she never saw them again ( no idea how she managed so many foreign trips)

Abouttimeforanamechange · 07/09/2024 17:27

Discussing the emotional impact it had on her, Meghan continued: 'It was the first time that I felt like someone saw the sacrifice."

Fortunate the Queen wasn't still around to read that. Her eyes would have rolled so far back in her head she would never have been able to see straight again.

And don't forget the flight attendant who knelt down and thanked her for her service.

Had to Google to check my memory. DM it is. The sacrifice!!!😂

"After settling into her seat, Meghan recalled how the head of the plane crew knelt down next to her and gave her some encouraging words.
She explained: 'He took his hat off and I just remember looking at him.
'And he goes, "We appreciate everything you did for our country."'

I’d never seen that. It’s an outstandingly self-important and improbable story!

I’m going to update my list…

IsoldeWagner · 07/09/2024 17:31

I had to laugh at the word "sacrifice"! 🤣

Newterm · 07/09/2024 17:33

I don’t think Meghan means to say these outlandish things. She seems to live in the moment. So if she thinks something is a good idea, she will action it immediately, without thinking through the consequences of her actions. Similarly what she says may not be true, but at the point of saying it she does really believe it. She speaks her truth, which is what she has in her head at that moment. If it feels right she says/does it, with no reflection.

IsoldeWagner · 07/09/2024 17:34

Isn't that quite a serious problem, @Newterm ?

There’s a guy works down the chip shop swears he’s Elvis. That’s his truth, in the moment.

It’s certainly proved to be. Especially when there are people stupid enough to believe her.

SadOrWickedFairy · 07/09/2024 17:52

She was successful as an actress and with The Tig. I wonder if the problem is that she is now trying to live in two worlds, celebrity and royalty, that are completely different and which don't really go together. I think she needs to pick one, well actually they already have, so she needs to let the other one go. Which is probably impossible with Harry expecting to be treated like a senior royal wherever he goes. He really is a bit of a liability.

Yes they need to let the Royal one go, which is what they said they wanted to do. I think you've hit the nail on the head that Harry is the problem he can't let it go because then he is just a.n.other celebrity, what is he if not Royal? Nothing special compared to the other celebrities which abound in the area they live and Meghan was never A list anyway, the Royal status pushed her up to A list type status when they were working Royals now they are not they've lost the stardust that brings.

They should stand on their own, drop the shoe-horning in of Royal stuff but I fear they've missed the boat on that, they should have done it at the start. Their quasi Royal status is becoming tired and people are losing interest fast, they've sold the tale of woe people don't want to keep hearing it.

People, businesses, charities, etc., who want a touch of Royalty are not going to be knocking on Harry and Meghan's door. They know this and that is why they were so desperate for the half-in/half-out model.

That's a very fancy way of saying Meghan is a liar. A generous interpretation would be saying she's like Walter Mitty.

Americanpseudoroyaltorture · 07/09/2024 12:36

I imagine Tyler is none too happy that an FOI request to the local police showed that MM had told paps where to find them (ie at his house).

Good grief I'd missed that one ... and this despite their endless complaints about being targeted Hmm

Puzzledandpissedoff · 07/09/2024 18:25

Noshowlomo · 07/09/2024 15:31

Remember that cringe text she had from
Beyonce that she simple had to read out loud about breaking through generational trauma or something. Cringe

IIRC that was in the Netflix 6 part "documentary" - the same one in which they reacted to a supposedly awful text from William

Trouble is we didn't see the device screens, so until we do I wouldn't take either as claimed. Frankly they lie so often that there really seems no other approach to take

IsoldeWagner · 07/09/2024 18:25

It's just so hypocritical to call the paps and have pap walks after all that complaining!

The dismissive “ your brother “ comment by Meghan

It’s my birthday next week, the thought of getting £8million for my birthday and it not going far is so out there to me. It’s a different world isn’t it!

Totally. Utterly life changing for most of us, nothing to them. Priorities, privilege and entitlement writ large

But if she doesn’t mean it and with hindsight it isn’t the truth, why has she never admitted as such?

Words · 07/09/2024 19:46

No one can genuinely live like that, or build a reputation.

The truth is Meghan Markle is a reasonably pretty woman, with a beautiful voice and a weird talent for making total nonsense sound meaningful and important. Just listen to any of her speeches and ask yourself what it actually means.

She seems to have had a very inflated sense of her own importance from a young age, coupled these days with arrogance and ( surely given the many mis -steps) an ultimate disregard for professional advice.

The staff turnover, including senior advisers, is alarming and indicative of more deep-rooted problems in my opinion.

what sacrifice was she referring to here ? Genuine question. Was she referencing something in particular

IsoldeWagner · 07/09/2024 20:09

The personal sacrifice of being a dutiful and devoted member of the Royal Family, with no tangible reward.

thecrossIambearing · 07/09/2024 20:17

What did she actually do? Have a big wedding paid for? Did a couple of tours? FFS she must be nuts to recount stories like this as is he.
