Harry in UK for funeral

DM is reporting Harry came to the UK for the funeral of his uncle Robert Fellowes. The husband of Diana's sister Lady Jane. Apparently they kept their distance from each other and didn't speak. Looks like William has the Windsor habit of bearing grudges. Don't blame him in this case.

I thought I heard Snettisham mentioned fleetingly on the radio news and I really did because that is where the funeral took place.

Robert Fellowes took his place in the House of Lords. I didn't know that bit. I knew he worked for the RF earlier.

He was indeed about 16 years older than Cynthia Jane Spencer, about the same age gap as the fictitious Mr. Knightley and Emma, which is regarded nowadays, by some, as a grooming issue, and a bigger age gap than that between the real life Charles and Diana, which is also looked on askance by some posters on these threads. The reason I remember this isn't that I think these things are creepy but because they're often mentioned by posters on threads.

Did Harry stay over? When was the funeral? Has he already gone back?

The funeral was on Wednesday, @upinaballoon I don't know any details. It was private.

Google said Robert Fellowes was born at Sandringham. I'm guessing they must have lived in Norfolk and that Jane still does, if the funeral was at Snettisham. I haven't time to look now, for my own interest. Gotta move.

Ok sneering rather than sniggered still lower than a snakes belly. It was called out by several posters before me.

Jane was only 20 when she married Robert Fellowes, he was 37. As pp have said, quite an age gap, but obviously a long and happy marriage.

I'm interested in the work they do. I don't feel the need to speculate or pry on their private relationships.

@upinaballoon we have no idea if Harry stayed over or visited anyone else. As the Palace did not know what Harry was doing, nothing has been leaked.

Or rather Harry didn't leak anything because there was no publicity required on this trip.

And, if the rf didn't know he was coming, what was his security set up. Or does this just prove he doesn't need the sort of security he claims is necessary?

William hasn't leaked it, the Spencers didn't and the Palace didn't.
Usually the sieve like leaking about this family is from the Sussexes, so I'm guessing Harry was warned not to.
He'll probably still talk about it at some point. He must have been a victim in some way.

Or perhaps it's his wife who doesn't know anything to leak to People magazine and Backgrid. Or Harry has been told by the Spencers to keep his mouth shut for a change. The unsubstantiated allegations of palace leaks are tiresome.

William was there, so Harry would have come under the protection RAVEC provides for an event where the heir to the throne is in attendance, I would have thought.

We all know who leaks, for money. It's not the Spencers or the Windsors.

I only moved to Google, and found a few news reports of the brothers attending the funeral. Of course they all find a picture of them walking side by side, which is misleading for the inattentive because the writing's about 2024 and when you look at the small print the picture will be from 2017 or something like that. They have cunning plans, these newspaper bods.

It's hard to understand why things so provably untrue keep being repeated, unless it's in the hope that claiming them time after time will lead some to believe them? Personally I'd rather rely on things which can be shown to be true, but as ever each to their own

Or it may be that he finally has a team that doesn't leak things to the press? Everybody assumes it's him that leaks his movements but it may well not be. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I've seen one (and only one - it was more than enough) episode of Suits. MM's character was in it for less than a minute, and most of that was being ogled and objectified by a curly red haired dork named Harold. I did have a chortle.

My first thought on seeing the pic in the post with the People link above was that it's clearly not a recent one - or it's been heavily edited. H hasn't got that much hair these days.
