I'm still reeling from his statement that your teen might be in the next room committing suicide!!! (Paraphrasing as CBA to watch it again).

Nice article.

https://www.express.co.uk/news/royal/1932241/prince-harry-meghan-markle-online-bullying-cbs

Meanwhile, the richest man in the world refers to the inevitability of civil war on our streets. Considering he is responsible for running X Twitter which carries a shedload of questionable posts then he should be the first person held accountable for giving a platform to anyone who incites violence. Whether that be EDL and the so called English ‘patriots’, some Sussex Squad posters etc. Whatever happened to the art of civil discourse.

"Whatever happened to the art of civil discourse?"

Perhaps H&M could do a documentary on it and ask Bouzey and the Sussex Squad?

Again Meghan and Harry's participation have resulted in the real cause being overshadowed. The articles about the pair of them - how they are interacting etc have taken the emphasis away from the other parents. This is something we see all the time because of their chequered past, because of their lies and insinuations and their negative image. Harry talks like a twat and all the media is on that. It's like he's suddenly thought of something and like a child has to say it. He goes off piste which is dangerous for the image that Meghan is hoping to cultivate. This is going to be a feature of their lives now. They have created a negative public image that nothing can save. They are seen as selfish money grabbers who live in an extremely rich environment who flit from cause to cause to promote themselves and to make money.

In a nutshell. They are royal and enjoy the status, privilege and titles. Theirs is a very royal lifestyle. That's how they live and will continue to do so.

They certainly do . An official at the Invictus event in Canada asked how he should address them - Sir and Ma’am . Very humble .

smilesy · 06/08/2024 09:41

I wonder if we will ever hear them talk about this initiative again? What happened to all the other causes they have briefly championed? I can’t even remember any, apart from Invictus, which they have ever been involved with more than once 🤷‍♀️. Happy to be corrected, but if people can’t remember any then they haven’t done a very good in promoting or furthering their causes. And I don’t mean vague references to “mental health” and “online bullying”. I mean real support

missed out a word

@smilesy
The one that sticks in my mind is 40x40 . According to some posters on here at the time , it was the greatest thing since sliced bread .
Never an update as far as I know .
What happened about that film they were making based on a book ( can’t remember the title )?
Cookery series ?
Polo series ?
Jam ??
That’s just off the top of my head !

Princessfluffy · 06/08/2024 10:30

It's a shame that no interviewer has asked about the 40 40 birthday initiative to help women. Were any women ever helped?

Will Harry be doing a similar thing to celebrate his upcoming 40th birthday?

StrawberriesandCreamTea · 06/08/2024 10:36

I really can’t get my knickers in a twist about two royal individuals who are doing good works and being invited to countries and to highlight an international conference that will be taking place in Colombia.

Nobody is "getting their knickers in a twist", the usual expression to stop women having a discussion. They're not two royal people "doing good works", how ridiculous!

@Riptides why do you think Harry and Meghan want to provide all this distraction? Why all the publicity, the interviews, the tours?
I don't think they're intentionally distracting, I think they love the limelight and will do anything to continue with a high profile, controversial lifestyle.

Real stories? 😂😂😂😂. We have watched an actual interview where Harry has spouted gibberish about dealing with SM and potential suicide, and you say the real stories are a load of unsubstantiated rumours?

Puzzledandpissedoff · 06/08/2024 10:49

I thought it was interesting in the M & H interview that M shows some particular discomfort about not being ‘believed’

That would be understandable about something as serious as suicidal ideation; to go through that and not be believed would be hideous, but sadly it's what can happen when someone's so often lied about other matters

FWIW I don't suppose it was much fun for Catherine either, when "squad" members insisted she'd invented her cancer, but despite the proven links and their own claim of combating online abuse H&M apparently have nothing to say about this

Absolutely agree @PoppysAunt the only people getting their knickers in a twist are those deflecting away from this nonsense, agenda to censor and control initiative.

I don’t want to go over why I find this whole thing so offensive as I have on another thread. But I do want to highlight the hypocrisy of these two by posting a link which has the Good Morning America interview with Valentine Low. It is clear that Meghan has bullied her staff in the past. She is the last person who should be driving any kind of anti-bullying campaign. She needs to look closer to home first. I only wish that bullying report would be released or, at least release the people involved from their NDAs. I hope the link works because it’s a really interesting interview.

I'm not sure why lots of H&M supporters assume everyone who dares to be critical of the stuff they willingly put into the public domain for a profit are ardent Royal fans. It's also a bit hypocritical as Harry is 'famous' purely because he was born into this family, yet people are meant to think he's amazing whilst the rest of them suck? The Prince Andrew whataboutery is also tedious, the reason it's not discussed as much is because there isn't really anyone defending him, so why would people constantly all gather round to condemn him again and again? The reality is H&M have ardent supporters and ardent haters (most people fall between these 2) but both sides fuel the other; the more people are told they must like them or they're full of bias the more others point out the lies & hypocrisy- for every action there's a reaction and that which is why they're so heavily discussed.

As a republican I'm not sure either, @Kebarbra
It seems to me more about opposing ugly behaviour wherever it comes from - RF included - but it appears that some prefer the notion of slotting people into "sides" (hate that word!!)

And if we find that Meghan Markle also knew Epstein - she was on Victoria Guiffre's witness list (I know that doesn't prove anything, hence the 'if')?

Edited to add the question mark.
