When are they off to Colombia?

The visit starts on Thursday apparently, so I imagine they will travel tomorrow.

From the Daily Mail and I don’t even care what others think of me for it!…..

One former member of staff told the Daily Mail yesterday: 'What may be most telling is that the entire time I worked there, I don't think I heard a single current or former employee on their staff say they would take the job again if given the chance.

Tut tut

😂 there’s no hope for me @JaneJeffer!
Love that gif! Thank you! 😆

Wonder if anything will fit ?
I understand they are visiting an emerald processing place , maybe Meghan could be gifted a huge stone and she could have it inserted into a tiara to make up for the late Queen refusing a certain tiara ?

How do NDAs work? Can you be sued for breaking one? But surely that would bring more adverse publicity? Is it the case that they actually consist of big payoffs with strings? Or ongoing payments in return for silence?

Obviously most people are decent and wouldn’t spill the dirt on an ex-employer, but surely many must be tempted by a wad of cash waved under their nose?

PoppysAunt · 14/08/2024 11:21

@BunnyLake I think their fans aren't - shall we say - well informed. They seem to completely misunderstand the nature of a constitutional monarchy. They often repeat the myth that somehow Charles can control the press, or direct the government, or make laws. There's a very fundamental lack of knowledge.

i remember reading that interview at the time. What it highlighted for me was the fact that Justine hadn’t actually read the threads she was proselytising about because her conclusions bore little resemblance to the reality. The similarities to the McCann case lie in the efforts to censor uncomfortable discussions.

Even Harry thinks that, it’s all in Charles power whether he gets security apparently 🙄

BigWillyLittleTodger · 14/08/2024 11:55

I don’t think Justine’s post has aged well at all.

And as a PP says, it didn't make a huge amount of sense at the time, given some of the nasty nonsense that H+M supporters used to come out with on these boards.

I know, and that's even with a court case against the Home Office. I wonder if Harry can actually comprehend much at all.
The number of people who believe that security is in the hands of Charles! As if the Home Office, Met Police and various security agencies would allow that to happen! It's very stupid.

No, and considering the vitriol against Kate on this forum earlier in the year, in need of significant update.

I agree. I wonder what her thoughts are now? Justine can’t be anti-monarchy as she accepted her honour. I wonder what her thoughts were on the Princess Catherine posts and threads. They were so much more than slightly deranged. The awful thing now is that the Sussex Squad have really used this term deranged and derangers in their campaign to bully and harass anyone that dare criticise the couple which is not a good look at all. The toxicity is on another level and they use her quote.

MummyJ12 · 14/08/2024 12:20

Poor Josh Kettler is getting it from the supporters now. They say that he was let go due to him leaking to the press. The irony is that the couple probably asked him to!

Yes that was deranged on a worldwide scale, the world and the world’s media went collectively mad and posters on here had to name change before they slunk back from the shadows in shame, so it does make me laugh when a plopper appears with a link to Justine’s post as if it’s some big gotcha, FYI@Daydreambell it isn’t.

PoppysAunt · 14/08/2024 12:29

It's not a "gotcha" at all, @BigWillyLittleTodger , you're right! I've never seen anything on here about Meghan which compares to some of the vile stuff I saw on here about Kate back in March/April.

Yes, Justine was also unsupportive of GC women and introduced the swingeing moderation of posters and pointless sectioning off of FWR from a very early stage in that conversation. That worked out well, didn’t it, for the be kind brigade. Cass Report, anyone? Justine’s words from the world pre Netflix, Spare, the torture of Catherine via the SS and all the other ridiculous stunts pulled by H&M is proof of nothing. If it’s any consolation, pro RF supporters get nothing like the leeway afforded to the SS stalwarts when it comes to moderation.

Not convinced they have all gone ………..

MaturingCheeseball · 14/08/2024 13:02

Only today I recognised the “literary style” of one such poster…

Mylovelygreendress · 14/08/2024 12:46

Not convinced they have all gone ………..

They pop up from time to time and 'plop', don't they? Like seagulls, as has been pointed out!

But I think they are at bay just now for the simple reason that, try as you might, it's becoming harder and harder to defend H & M, or to find anything positive to say about them. Even their crazy fans have got a job on their hands to present H & M's recent behaviour in a positive light. I look at Celebitchy (purely for research reasons, you understand...) occasionally and it's fascinating to see how they are twisting both the facts and themselves into knots to try and spin things positively.

Going back to the silly 'positive threads' about Meghan's clothes, I think that is becoming the only area they feel relatively safe in - and even then, they have to demand that no-one says anything critical. It's utterly pathetic and embarrassing but they have clearly pinned part of their personal identity to their adoration of Meghan and Harry, and they must find their decline traumatic.

It's a cult, as someone on here rightly pointed out!
