Look I'm no Sussex fan but does every thread about Kate need to descend into an opportunity to compare her with Meghan ?
can we please just enjoy a thread talking about the PoW WITHOUT slagging off the DoS.

Edited

Surely an element of comparison is inevitable? Especially when the comparison is so stark.

AliceOlive · 15/07/2024 16:17

Creepy how some follow others around on MN. I wonder if there was a way to put an alert on certain words they don’t like so they could pop in and have a go and report threads.

When the steaks are so high? 🤣

The photo of Charlotte and Louis is cute. I wonder if they still get excited about seeing Dad and their bro on telly!

Good job they weren't sitting the other way round!

(I'll get my coat)

You seem so angry at me. Which is also creepy. Your name is not very familiar to me. Care to explain why I’m on your personal radar then? Have we interacted at some point?

I’ll reply when unfairly attacked. Hopefully this one will indeed “vet” their life and stop derailing.

There is only one vickering that I can see.

WinnieTheW0rm · 15/07/2024 17:06

Any chance of this thread getting back to something with at least passing relevance to Wimbledon and the Waleses?

Apparently ESPN had a section about the Princess attending, with both high viewing figures and very high percentage of positive comments. It seems to have overshadowed the actual match and who won!

unvelievable isn’t it?

WinnieTheW0rm · 15/07/2024 17:09

BTW, do the Kents still go to Wimbledon?

As in Prince and Princess Michael ? Yes, they were there on Sunday, I'm pretty sure I heard that Princess Michael was going to deputise if Kate wasn't well enough. Their son Freddie Windsor was there with his wife Claudia

I thought Winnie meant Prince Edward who gave out the trophies prior to Catherine

Seeing as this appears to be your first post on any Royal Family thread quit with the trying to be the Headmistress of the thread, @AliceOlive is perfectly entitled to defend herself when she is being repeatedly targeted, they don’t need your two penn’orth.

WinnieTheW0rm · 15/07/2024 17:36

I meant the Duke (former President) and Duchess of Kent

I think people usually overlook that there's two Prince Edwards, so it was nice to see him name-checked that way!

(I think its pretty normal for just the dukedom name to refer to the duke and duchess - as in the Edinburghs, the Gloucesters, the Sussexes and previously, the Cambridges. Apologies that it wasn't clear to some)

CoffeeCantata · 15/07/2024 17:37

Some posters seem to parachute in out of the blue, take no notice of the discussion or its direction, but just nastily attack someone on a personal level.

These are desperate tactics from desperate people!

SentebalesChair · 15/07/2024 17:54

Well quite @CoffeeCantata

Quite a few vastardy comments about the appearance of Catherine. Not just the one.

Nowt about anyone else though. Oh no.

But yet we are supposed to pay attention to thread polis.

It’s not my first post on this thread, I think it’s my fourth. Having said that you shouldn’t be stalking me, it’s against the rules.

It’s just so tiresome to read the bickering posts. @AliceOlive, a word of advice, just step away. Bullies enjoy seeing you upset.

I’m not upset. Just not ever keen to leave nasty posts standing without a reply.

I do think someone is upset though!

Apologies. Prince and Princess Michael are of Kent though aren't they ? It's all too confusing 😂

ah I've just done a bit of googling, so the Duke/Prince Edward but not the Duke of Edinburgh Prince Edward is Prince Michael's elder brother. So the same relationship as George and Louis. I didn't realise there was more than one Prince Edward.

I don't really have a great grasp on the family tree of that generation of royals

I had no idea! Prince Edward of Kent’s wife has an interesting story.
