Prince William birthday - new photo

Kensington Palace have released a new photo of William and the children to mark his 42nd birthday. The photo was taken by Catherine.

Honestly I think this is one of my favourite photos of the family!

It's so obvious they have photoshopped themselves with a cardboard cut out of Taylor.

I think Charlotte's hair and sparkly dress are very cute, lots of people seem to be dressing up like that for the tour, it's lovely that she gets to join in. They seem to dress the children in ways that make it clear when they are on duty and when they are in private which I think is a good idea.

Taylor has shared a similar snap on her Instagram that includes Travis as well.

They look so forced and pained in that photo with Taylor Swift. How many takes and poses before this official photo was captured? I feel for these children. They should be out playing sports with their friends, not at a stodgy old arena listening to popular music!

I’m viewing the photo from a position of empathy, putting myself in their shoes. Clearly they’d rather be playing in a park.

So I wonder what the problem with these nice pictures will be?
The composition, the mood of the children, the photoshopping, the cruelty of 1,000 takes?

Meghan sent Taylor a personal letter inviting her to take part in her podcast series ( remember that ??) Taylor’s assistant declined on her behalf .
This selfie certainly sends a message .

I LOVE it when someone is so secure (for whatever reason, money, fame, whatever) that they don't have to grovel or be grateful to someone trying to hang onto their coat tails and can simply say 'No thanks.' Getting a personal letter and getting your assistant to reply sends quite a message.

You can see the poor little mites are miserable.

I think for some celebrities the backlash their fellow celebrities suffered on social media when they made jokes about Catherine being missing has caused a flurry of supportive posts for the Royal family. I don't lump Taylor in with the rest but Costner in particular I think is showing he thinks he backed the wrong horse.

Which is actually sad because in an ideal world there wouldn't be this conflict and working and non working members of the Royal family could make useful links for their charities.
