Inspired by @Ladypenelopeforever ‘s post.

I find that William is photogenic and this is one of the best photos (albeit not candid) of him in a while.

What do you see? For me, I see humour about his lips and the faraway look in his eyes has a touch of sadness. Overall, the Prince has gravitas, he does not need the red folder to signal that. There is also a reddish blush to his skin. Either he caught the sun during the D Day commemoration or he is blushing for some reason

Let us see if we can keep comments positive, friendly and on topic this time. One can hope. 🙏

Yeah, but what iPhone does he have?

Are we sure it’s genuine? His head looks a bit too big for his neck, if you look closely

Nah - it's the way his face conceals the left side of his neck.

Am I the only person on MN who gives zero fs about whether a photo has been tweaked? I thought that was the whole point of things like Photoshop. If no-one's supposed to use it, then what's the point of it?

I cannot get into a stew about a press photo being slightly doctored.

Nice photo. Sure he’s quite pleased with it. That’s it really.

"Slightly doctored" is fine. However it is increasingly easy to make completely fake pictures- and we have to be alert. Fake News is scary.

Probably just checked his bank balance online...

I thought most photos were, nowadays?

InsolentNoise · 15/06/2024 15:15

Because he’s a member of the royal family and is widely known.
If that doesn’t scream privilege, I don’t know what does.
You are being deliberately obtuse but you know that 😂
Why not get a framed copy for your living-room, if you’re such a fan?

No you are not.

I, too, assumed it was the whole point. And as everyone else does it, why not royal photographic portraits?

SkyfallBondfan · 20/06/2024 14:32

😂

Ohpleeeease · 20/06/2024 21:40

The photo is posed so I probably wouldn’t read anything profound into it. He looks comfortable in the pose so you could interpret that as him being comfortable with his destiny.

I could see that face on a coin.

JL690 · 20/06/2024 22:36

I think you should read it very profoundly if it is posed. That means it is tying to portray a particular message about the subject.

But if the message is not explicit then it’s open to interpretation.

JL690 · 21/06/2024 02:20

@Ohpleeeease yes, it is.
