Part 6 of positive threads, delving into all things Meghan and Harry. Whether it’s the causes they support, their business initiatives, or Meghan’s fashion choices (Harry’s too, on occasion 😉), there’s plenty to discuss Just a pro-tip - that there may be use of MLE terms and discussions of dupes - you might want to exit stage left if these things offend. This is a relatively drama free zone - let’s keep things light! Clinking a glass of lemonade 🥂 to @queentim for the original inspiration.

Well who said anything who courts the public has to always wear clothes that have gone to a tailors and been altered. Maybe they are happy to buy clothes like we do and just wear them. Like the majority of people do.

Shame if they look a bit wrinkled and ill fitting though? Anyway, it's personal choice but I think it looks a bit shabby.

Do you buy clothes that don’t fit you?

I like this! Very positive. 😊

Why thank you and welcome! It's mostly quiet because they really aren't out and about very much.

Except when people pull themselves in knots when trying to find a way to be negative. Just smile and nod.

I think so delectable

Some of the outfits could have been out of this world and yet suffered a lack of attention to detail and the tiniest of tweaks.

For someone who seems to have spent so much money on dentistry and their face, a few quid on a tailor would have been prudent.

But then you'd think you'd buy clothes that fit your body type. And even then if you are short you need to get the hems taken up. It's weird that Meghan doesn't seem to do that now.

She even dressed better before she married Harry and had access to more money and bigger designers. She looked great in the Suits wardrobe - and that would definitely have been tailored to her.

The Exorcist GIF by filmeditor

Smile and nod?

Linda Blair did that in the Exorcist did she not?

DelectableMe · 16/07/2024 20:16

I just do it for self respect, and I like to present well, I don't favour the grungy look. I'm a teacher and I want to show my students that I respect them by making an effort and dressing smartly and appropriately.

DelectableMe · 16/07/2024 20:18

Those trousers that drag on the ground?! Why?
I'm 5' 1" so I have to get all my trousers shortened. Who wants ragged hems!

NoNekkidNonNigerians · 16/07/2024 20:18

I think I was taught similarly.

You may not have the most expensive clothes but if they fit and are clean and pressed, it shows you’ve made an effort.

skullbabe · 16/07/2024 20:20

It's unfortunate that the focus here seems to be on making unkind remarks - personal style and grooming choices are deeply individual and criticizing someone's appearance in such a mean-spirited way is unedifying. But you do you.

OP posts:
DelectableMe · 16/07/2024 20:21

Exactly. It doesn't matter what you spend on clothes, but you can always look smart, neat and appropriate.

NoNekkidNonNigerians · 16/07/2024 20:22

It isn’t unkind to say that a few quid on tailoring would have made her look amazing.

Money is not an issue clearly. So it is a lack of attention to detail.

The pair of them should smarten up, that's my opinion. I've heard worse. I'm not criticising their body shape. If you're a celebrity who wants all the clicks I'm sure you know folks are going to look at your outfit.

NoNekkidNonNigerians · 16/07/2024 20:25

Pauline, for example always makes an effort to be well presented.

Smart as a carrot. Just a bit egregious.

This whole thread is about them "out and about" and discussing clothes, right?
Only gushing allowed?

DelectableMe · 16/07/2024 20:26

Pauline rocks. I have a very similar attitude to my box of pens.

They will fit me but ofntheyvwere altered they probably fit me better since shops cnay design exactly for your body. Then again I don't give a shit if my clothed aren't perfectly.tailored for me and if other people look at me judging me then let them who cares. I'm doing what I want to do wearing what I want to.

Yup my Mum always said you don't need loads of money to be clean and tidy.

When you're loaded and spend the exorbitant sums she does on clothes, you'd expect her to go the extra mile and have them fit properly! Most people don't have access to her level of funding.

NoNekkidNonNigerians · 16/07/2024 20:10

Or a decent bra.

Always an uplifting experience !

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 16/07/2024 20:33

When your army of fans hold you up as a fashion icon and DEMAND that only positive things are said about your appearance, then it’s probably best not to force the viewer into a situation where they have to gaslight themselves into thinking you look good. A hem here, a dart there and a steamer really don’t take much effort.

That is it really.

DelectableMe · 16/07/2024 20:35

The exact purpose of this thread: Meghan's amazing style. Well I think she looked great when a working royal and Charles paid for it. Less so now. Not cruel. Just an observation.

Presumably you aren't going on quasi-Royal tours and awards ceremonies...
