Why does it bother you that posters are bothered?

ShamedBySiri · 16/05/2024 17:51

Here is a nice montage of Princess Anne's work with Save the Children, posted by the charity.

That was lovely @ShamedBySiri thanks for posting that.

ShamedBySiri · 16/05/2024 17:55

And here is a fabulous thread listing many of the strenuous and dangerous trips she has taken on behalf of Save the Children.

Hands up who thinks Meghan would trek fours hours through the mountains to visit a clinic. (And fours hours back presumably).

I have a close family member with a degenerative neurological condition who is also a cancer survivor. I can still be interested in other things. I am not “bothered” by them going to see Save the Children and as you say I’m sure the Princess Royal isn’t either. And I am aware Harriman is a global ambassador. I just find it a bit odd. That is my opinion

eta. Your post was rather nasty, whoever it was addressed to, but I thought I’d rise above it 😊

OneHeartySnail · 16/05/2024 18:17

I am sorry @BigWillyLittleTodger , sending virtual support for you with whatever you are going through.

@BigWillyLittleTodger please don't get yourself deleted!
We all read and see what's happening!
Using cancer is a pretty low move considering the amount of people anonymously suffering from and with families that could be on this thread and site , but particularly in light of Charles snd Catherine's struggles seems rather pointed.
Rise above 💐

I’m sorry if you have a close family member who is battling with cancer.

I can only imagine how it must be for the Royal family and especially the Wales’ being targeted, bullied and harassed by the Sussex Squad while Catherine is receiving treatment. These same people making Catherine’s life hell are partying with the Sussexes.

ZellyFitzgerald · 16/05/2024 18:21

ShyPoet is clearly a Sussex Squad member. One of those who have been putting up non stop gushing posts about H&M the last few days and then decided to do a name change.

BigWillyLittleTodger · 16/05/2024 18:23

Thank you @OneHeartySnail much appreciated. Yes @jeffgoldblum you are right and normally I would be like @smilesy and rise above the nasty goading! I will endeavour to ignore next time as no doubt there will be a next time.

TheTallestSally · 16/05/2024 18:25

@BigWillyLittleTodger

As someone who has lost many in our family to cancer, I understand your sentiments.

Thankfully it has been silent of late - only to be replaced by the curses of dementia and various debilitating life limiting illnesses.

Please know that so many of us walk or have walked in your shoes and are thinking of you.

Some things are simply not worth the air 🌷

ShamedBySiri · 16/05/2024 18:27

Yes I'm sure Charles, William and Catherine as well as Anne have better things to think about than these two grifters. It's a shame the two seem so indifferent to the pain their family (past and present) are going through.

It remains the case I would expect Save the Children to have a better appreciation of what a hardworking and knowledgeable patron can bring to their cause as opposed to to a pair of publicity hounds whose every move is filmed by their Netflix crew. StC are barking up the wrong tree if they think this will bring anything of benefit to Save the Children.

Some more from the thread about Anne's work.

I can’t figure out who paid for this trip. So the Nigerian military covered security, but the flights, accommodation, clothes, people accompanying them, general organisation? Was it Invictus? If it was Archwell, is that legitimate?

Maybe that's why she was rewearing old clothes?

TheTallestSally · 16/05/2024 18:29

I so wholeheartedly agree with your post siri 👏🏽

BigWillyLittleTodger · 16/05/2024 18:30

Thank you @TheTallestSally that’s very kind and I am so sorry you are now going through the trauma of a close family member with dementia, life is so very cruel Flowers

A shrewd guess would suggest it certainly wasn’t H and M who paid !

ShamedBySiri · 16/05/2024 18:32

Also sending sympathy to @BigWillyLittleTodger and others with serious illnesses to cope with.

I don’t blame you for reacting like you did @BigWillyLittleTodger. Goading was obviously the aim and sometimes it all gets too much and very triggering. I wish you and your loved ones all the best xx

BigWillyLittleTodger · 16/05/2024 18:35

Thank you @smilesy that’s very thoughtful of you.

Thedom · 16/05/2024 18:35

@BigWillyLittleTodger sorry you have had to deal with this awful disease. x

BigWillyLittleTodger · 16/05/2024 18:38

Thank you @Thedom much appreciated.

MummyJ12 · 16/05/2024 18:40

Oh my @BigWillyLittleTodger I’m so sorry for what you’ve had to deal with. 💗
Great post x
