I know Smilesy I don't think he could do it, he looks like he has no agency at all, however maybe the trustees could take the decision from him,, because as long as M is getting the airtime, Harry and Invictus are going to continue to be collateral damage.

agency, but I strongly suspect that if they said no more Meghan, Harry would be leaving too. Don’t forget the “what Meghan wants, Meghan gets”thing and the fact that he was so angry with William for daring to suggest he should slow down in his relationship with Meghan at the beginning. He would see it as a personal affront. And more sobbing on the floor would probably ensue from his wife

I'd like to know what the veterans actually think. Not just the carefully chosen military spokespersons and poster people, but the whole 'family' of veterans as a whole and the ones who would be interested in going but don't have the money. Heck, how do you aspire to train and participate in Invictus when you don't even have secure housing?

As a Cold War veteran who came out of one of the other services relatively unscathed and so don’t need Invictus’s support my own POV (and I’m keeping this polite) is I’m very very very unimpressed with M and very unimpressed with H.

I cannot believe these people don't see through her. As I've said before on here, if you look on that insane site, Celebitchy, you'll come away with palpitations at just how crazed, ill-informed and deluded - but extremely nasty and sadistic - the SS are. It is honestly a cult - not merely like a cult.

Yes and if you visit certain anti Meghan Twitter accounts, some with 70,000 pus followers you’ll see the same hate , nasty and sadistic, about Meghan (and Harry).

There are more on forums like reddit and quora and tattle.

I think the extremes on both sides are awful. What I dislike most though is this pitting of Kate vs Meghan.. That woman participate in this is insane. They might be ‘supporting’ their preferred royal woman but the good woman vs bad woman; saint vs wicked - rubbish that is old as time is damaging us all.

This just hurts and disempowers all woman: And it’s women participating in this.

I’ve always stayed away from that part of Twitter because I don’t want it infecting my feed. But I discovered I had an old Twitter account from 2012 recently; so I’ve used it to have a good look at both these sides on Twitter and found some anti Meghan accounts that are huge with 70,000 plus followers. So it’s not just the Sussex Squad. Did you know a fairly regularly used name, used by anti Meghan and Harry people, for Sussex supporters is ‘sausages’ - sometimes the word is deliberately misspelled but nearly always the same way?

There seems to be bad actors, organized hate on both sides of this.

And those huge hate accounts on both sides mostly have the blue tick, which means it’s monetized. Apparently those blue tick accounts get precedence and are pushed to the top - so you see them earlier. They aren’t there because they hate Meghan or Kate, they are there making money off hate - hate of women. These are businesses.

Seems to be a theme, Meghan not being welcome any longer.. Eye opening. The way she is acting in the IV context (Canada, Nigeria) she is showing the whole world how she must have acted behind closed doors with the British Royal Family. Attention seeking, self aggrandising, empty words, wanting fashion hand outs. hmmmmm

Yes, the whole thing is mightily depressing. I only go on MN - I'm not on any other SM, but I did have a look at Celebitchy because someone mentioned it on here. It appalled me - the level of crazy delusion and lack of grip on reality. I ran screaming away! The lack of critical thinking there is beyond belief. All the articles are 'interpreted' by someone called Kaiser (no, really) and everyone, absolutely everyone, then just agrees with her/him. Ridiculous. I suspect you'd be moderated off pdq if you went against the echo chamber.

Yes I agree. I did notice on their Insta etc that there is a lack rightly so of Meghan photos. They do understand I am sure and think WTF is she doing in those presentation photos again. Harry does seem to be happy when he is at Invictus events. Meghan on the other hand wants all of Harry's attention - all the pathetic clinging on with being scared to walk on the snow etc. " oh Harry help me, look at me.." she's so obvious.

The Sussex Squad are an entirely different league, they send death threats, hound people of platforms, threaten to burn peoples houses down, and have Bouzy Harry and Meghan’s mate as their Colonel in Chief, they are not just nasty words on a page, they are a coordinated group who I suspect are under the watchful eye of our security services.

I agree. I think if a someone popped out with a camera we'd see her running back to cling to him again.

It's so obvious and unauthentic. Possibly not him, as I think he truly loves her. But with Meghan I do feel like once she has squeezed every drop of usefulness out of Harry she'll move onwards and upwards. That seems to be her MO- use and discard. The pile of friends and family she has littered in her wake is quite chilling.

The way she was marching ahead of H and he seemed to be hanging back with his head down didn't look good.

As @BigWillyLittleTodger has already posted, the Sussex Squad are on another level.

She has admitted to having more than 30 twitter accounts at once and said that it’s a full time job before stepping back to just be an active member of the Sussex Squad. She said that it was time for someone new with new ideas and tactics to step into her place.
Tactics include: Doxxing people, so that critics of the couple were hounded including at work, home and the schools of their children. Crowd funding, raising money to pay journalists to be onside. If journalists turned against the couple, they were harassed and bullied. Often out of jobs, not just them but their partners who were classed as “collateral damage”. There have even been arson attacks.

So no. The two sides aren’t “as bad as each other”. Absolutely not. The Sussex Squad are absolutely vile.

That being said, I don’t agree at all with some of the things that the other side say about Meghan. Not on at all and completely bat shit. But it’s nowhere near the level of the toxicity of the Sussex Squad.

I think there is something in this. We have seen a woman who clings to her husband and plays the helpless doting adoring wife when Harry is in the limelight, but when given an opportunity, he becomes irrelevant and she is attention seeking, self promoting, self absorbed, it’s all about her,. She is a chameleon but it seems her true nature is one which seeks validation and is deeply insecure.

my opinion is she lacks confidence in who she is deep down and that drives everything she does. Her need for validation, to be someone she’s not. To have that adoration, fame, fortune.

amd as such, the fact public opinion is against her, must cut very deeply indeed.

Edited to say: I didn't realise that SS was an actual group of people, I thought it was just a sort of nickname for any of their supporters.

(although they didn’t go far enough). People are scared and rightly so. It’s also worldwide so there’s difficulties with jurisdictions I would imagine. It’s all very corrupt.

Yes, while some may think she is fantastic, it seems to be a small minority who do.

She has been voted the most disliked celebrity in 2024, on Ranker.com, (a US based website), ahead of Amber Heard, Ellen DeGeneres and Prince Harry.

I think she could have been fantastic , if only she had listened to advice , maybe watched how others (with some exceptions obviously) in the RF conducted themselves and followed their lead . Shes an actress so must be used to being directed .

@Thedom I think she was pretty well received in Nigeria by impressive people. Some young women inspired. She’s loved in America by the average person IME. Etc. She could use her platform to promote such good. I hope she does.

I wouldn't say she was "loved" in America. More popular than she is in the UK.

But according to recent polling she now matches King Charles in popularity, but still lags well behind William and Catherine. She's also less popular than her husband.
