Archewell is @Babybreath but this is Invictus.

Doh , must learn to read properly 🤦‍♀️

@JJathome has she boosted Invictus’ profile? Genuine question.

I don’t think the invictus profile is any higher due to the Nigeria tour, no. Do you know more about it? I think they did some limited activity, the netball game, the wounded soldiers, in first arrival and then the rest was dedicated to Megan’s profile. The Nigerian princess, the role model, the leader, the clothes, the heritage, the motherland.

they played lip service to invictus, harry did that, Megan went to Nigeria as the majority was about her. The school, the leadership panel, the polo, the governors mansion.

if anything I think they damaged invictus, because they used it to try to boost Megan’s profile, rather than do 3 days focusing on invictus.

HeddaGarbled · 14/05/2024 22:01

Almost like he was “Spare”.

Green777 · 14/05/2024 22:07

Watching them prance about in Nigeria dressed as though they’re attending a red carpet event, lapping up the attention is genuinely one of the cringiest things I’ve ever seen.

Yes how ironic,,,,

It appears that may have been his destiny.

I think it’s his mentality, rather than his destiny. He could have carved a superb life for himself. He had everything at his feet to do this. Other than the will to do it.

Salemforcuddles · 14/05/2024 22:59

I can actually see her running for President, she shares many traits with politicians

AnnieSF · 14/05/2024 23:26

Yup that is what book Spare 2 is about.
On the flight home....

Harry: "oh look William got to be in charge of MY air unit 😢"

Meghan " oh don't be silly I'm a princess now. It doesn't matter. You're just a spare now. I'm double titled! "

StartupRepair · 14/05/2024 23:26

You need the thickest of skins to run for President. She had staff trying unsuccessfully to control the internet when she was a royal family member. Politics is a whole new level.

MummyJ12 · 14/05/2024 20:34

Just seen this on TwiX. It looks very shady…..edited out the account to be on the safe side.

Invictus can’t be ok with this?

Who the heck is this ? Is it a scam ? 😳

BemusedAmerican · 15/05/2024 02:11

@User14March sorry about the late link. Just got out of work. Crazy day:

Next… they are honoured guests of Putin. Harry inspects the troops and visits wounded soldiers who have been injured fighting Ukraine. Putin invites Meghan to become the figurehead of the war, with her image transposed onto the Russian flag. Harry is given an honorary position in the military and asked to advise on strategy.

The possibilities are endless … as long as there is an opportunity for Meghan to wear lots of flesh baring designer gear which doesn’t fit properly and Harry gets to visit the wounded (never mind which war), everyone is happy. Just as long as their expenses are paid and there is money in it for them of course.

AnnieSF · 15/05/2024 04:13

They're back in California. Meghan is off like a greyhound out of a box. Harry hurrying up like a spare part behind her . No lingering hands or arms. I guess she's keen to get home.

I'm feeling a little bit sorry for Harry.

He looks perplexed and pensive in most of the tour shots.

He's well out of his depth. Quite uncomfortable to watch.

To be fair they will be knackered and jet lagged.

the whole thing is so bloody odd. They clearly dictated the itinerary, so Megan will have requested the women in leadership panel , which is nothing to do with invictus , or any of the other nonsense she was up to, and they barely saw Nigeria, simply stuck to some heavily protected and expensive enclaves, where everyone would have been told to cheer. All very controlled and contrived for the optics.

and in the midst of it archewell in delinquency, the riviera jam stuff still on hold, a brand launched a couple of months ago with nothing behind it,the lemonada podcasts also on hold, just the polo program it seems, and the Nigerian polo match will have been for that.

it’s all a complete mess, no direction, no success, simply doing stuff for the optics.

Babybreath · 15/05/2024 06:45

I guess the actress was off duty!
(Did she actually fly all that way in those tight trousers or would she have been in comfies?)

Oh, I agree - it's awful, Green.

I don't know what's wrong with people.

Two annoying, lightweight, vain, self-aggrandising, superficial, ego-maniacal, materialistic, pompous, smug, mediocrely-talented not-quite-celebrities go to an African country on a pretext, getting paid massively to do so, and prance about in fancy outfits, with complete disregard for local culture and customs, grinning all the while.

Meghan wore some highly inappropriate clothes for a conservative, mostly Muslim country - including a big cross necklace. Does she know anything about Nigeria? Does she care? I think that woman has the skin of a rhinoceros.

They did a lot of the things W & C were criticised for on one of their tours, but their fans are OK with that.

I saw no evidence that they really connected with anyone, either H in the hospital ward, or Meghan on one of her beloved platforms, holding a mic and preaching. And when she's finished...can anyone explain the substance of what she said?

God, it's depressing that people give them so much credit. It's beyond cringe for anyone with any perception, sensitivity, historical knowledge or taste.

But yes, let's salivate over her shoes and try to find a 'dupe' for her dress. I think all these people have been duped, actually.

Oh my God - this reminds me...

I read a few months ago that one of H's suggestions for content to Netflix or...Spotify (sorry, not up to speed on these organisations) had pitched an idea for a series where he interviews public figures about their childhoods - especially childhood trauma and its effects. OK - unoriginal and samey, but hey.

But the people he suggested! One was Putin, apparently! And this is while the actual war is going on in Ukraine. There was someone else mentioned, almost equally bizarre. No wonder the people they have to work with in these companies despair of them. Idiots!

I'll try and find a reference or link...

They aren’t tight though are they, you can see they are more slim fitting but not tight, likely also have some stretch. I have flown in trousers like that, but yes it’s possible she changed.

Edited

She’s done a number on him. I also find it quite it very uncomfortable if I’m honest. Sexes other way round? Most would be saying emotional abuse.

Sussurations · 15/05/2024 07:35

@CoffeeCantata i think it was Mark Zuckerberg, wasn’t it?

It is beyond bizarre that having left the RF, they are manufacturing quasi-royal tours.

I do wonder what other actors are behind all this, and have for quite some time. If there isn’t anyone behind it yet, H&M are extremely vulnerable to all kinds of manipulation.

CoffeeCantata · 15/05/2024 07:36

Sorry - I'm too dumb to do a link, but I just Googled 'Prince Harry interview Putin' and several things came up. The other interviewee he suggested was Trump.

Don't know where to start...but apart from anything else, the idea that these world leaders/politicians (revolting though they are) might have time, or agree, to be interviewed by a nonentity like Harry is beyond belief.

I remember Dr Anthony Clare, a clinical psychologist, used to do a great, in-depth interview programme on R4 years ago...but Harry??
