Is it true that there was a framed photo of Diana on the bedside table when Meghan gave birth ?

To Archie? I have just read this for the first time as I didn't read Sparse and I found it hard to believe. Isn't that a bit weird? Can you imagine having a photo of your MIL to look at when giving birth ?

To be honest, British people accusing anyone of being deranged about Diana is a bit rich......

Hahahahaha!!! Indeed!

@AnnieSF I am not trying to shut down a story. If you read other posts on here you will see I am not a H&M fan. However, I do strongly believe we should be supportive of labouring women.

I have supported friends in their choices from elective c secs via epidurals to homebirths. Because that was what was right for that person.

Lighten up 🙄

MegsNaiceJam · 09/05/2024 02:20

Placenta jam anyone? Sieved through locks of Diana’s hair.

EmmaGrundyForPM · 09/05/2024 02:21

I want to know about the singing seals!

Harry has severe trauma around his mother's death and this is being exploited and made worse with all this nonsense about channelling her through yoga and asking for guidance. Its all rather insane. Harry really is an idiot.

I have just looked the claim that Diana spoke to Meghan during her yoga session up. If true, this is just awful. I was a little older when I lost a parent and cannot imagine how vulnerable I could be had this happened to me. https://www.danwoottonoutspoken.com/p/royal-exclusive-meghan-claimed-to

He lost his mum when he was very young

He can do what HE finds comforting

Its not hurting anyone else

RicePuddingWithCinnamon · 09/05/2024 03:48

If Diana was alive Meghan would hate her too and would be no contact for some reason if another. Harry would have done whatever his wife said so also be would have no contact with his mum.

BemusedAmerican · 09/05/2024 04:19

Oddly enough, the article refers to "Spare" as Harry's debut novel foreshadowing the claims of the US attorney in the Heritage Foundation case about Harry's visa.

Oh please let there be a sequel! I want to know more about that kitchen bin - did it give him advice? Did William get extra beans as well as sausage? Also more tips on communication with seals and dealing with damaged todgers. Quality stuff!

I heard that Diana spoke from beyond the grave to the chef to tell him to give Harry only one sausage as he was a real pain in the arse whinger.

I haven't read 'Spare' but I've heard about the sausage. Am I to understand that William got one more sausage once, or every breakfast time? Did this happen at home or was it when they were at school? How old were the boys at the time?

Willmafrockfit · 09/05/2024 06:57

i dont think its weird.
its harry's mother

I haven't read all through yet. I was expecting my question to be a bit of a de-rail, but I see you are still discussing sausages.

Ah, the sausage question. It wasn't apparent about the frequency. Also, Harry got the smaller bedroom in whatever palace or castle he was living in. How you come to terms with that, I don't know.

roastedrapidly · 09/05/2024 07:08

And a lock of her hair in a trinket box next to the bed when they were trying to conceive....

upinaballoon · 09/05/2024 07:09

Frankly, if Meghan wanted a photo present then why not let her?

Yes. Maybe Harry wanted his mother there in some way and a photo isn't usually an insidious thing.

AGodawfulsmallaffair · 09/05/2024 07:10

IsoldeWagner · 08/05/2024 20:48

Have you read Spare?
There's the account of Harry finding Meghan kneeling on Diana's grave, clutching the headstone and asking for guidance.
Then later on they put the pregnancy test by a photo of Diana to get a positive result.
You'd think that there were three people in the marriage.

😆

Yeah but he doesn't really need 'comforting' through birth surely. It's all so performative.

Absolutely.
Diana was on the front of almost every newspaper every single day for 17 years!

Hyperbole. However. She sold papers!
She was very famous, very controversial then very martyred.
That's really an interesting issue because it links with the Sussexes use of Diana's imagery and relics as part of their lives. How dominant she appears to be in their marriage and their decisions. It's fascinating.

starringinyourbaddreams · 09/05/2024 07:49

It seems a bit sinister to me, M claiming that Diana spoke to her during her yoga session.

With H not being very bright and his mother being his soft spot, imagine just how controlling M could easily become. “Do/don’t do this or that, it’s what Diana wants, she told me.”

bit chilling tbh.

LakeTiticaca · 09/05/2024 07:50

I'm no fan of H&M but some of the replied to this post are just plain nasty.
When I first came across mumsnet I thought it was a forum for women championing women. How wrong could I be!!
What wrong with someone having photo of his mum, who he lost age 12, in the room when his gave birth to their first child?
Maybe it brought comfort to him in a spiritual sense, who knows?
Some of the posters on here really should hang their heads in shame
