Can this be true? That Harry and Meghan are off on a “royal” trip to Nigeria? What’s the game now? My head is spinning!

I am leaving you to it

Sorry. Can't resist.

MN's not an airport. You don't have to announce your departure.

👏

Red dress? The only one I can recall is this monstrosity.

Nigeria?

Good grief.

That's some skill, to make a Carolina Herrera evening gown look bad.
What the hell's going on with the nipples?!
Does she not own a mirror?

ShamedBySiri · 02/05/2024 19:13

OMG the padded bra top is indented. 😂😂😂
When I got my first bikini with a padded bra top which was in no way filled by my non existent bosom my sister delighted in loudly pointing out the indentation after I'd been sunbathing lying on my tummy. And sometimes she'd just sneak up to me when I wasn't looking and quickly poke it to dent it.

I wonder if Harry had clasped her to his chest in a passionate embrace and she didn't realise it had left a dent. 😳😂

Jamaica were not holding their hands out for money. They were demanding an apology and reparations for slavery that the Royal Family participated in and benefitted from.

This place!! No wonder you have no understanding of why William and Catherine Colonial Tour was such a disaster.

Do you also call Harry's 2012 Jamaica tour a disaster?

"Prince Harry was labelled a "slave master" as he faced a small protest on his tour of Jamaica."

"Three demonstrators waved placards. One read: "Down with Harry the slave master", while another demanded "reparations for 400 years of slavery" and asked: "Your Granny says slavery was not a crime, what do you think Harry?"."

Oh dear. That seems to have been forgotten!
Slave Master!

IsoldeWagner · 02/05/2024 19:17

Plus, he's the ultimate "whitesplainer" isn't he?

You are actually delusional. Nobody is saying that!!!

I may think they are a pair of twats but I don't wish ill on them on their children. I just wish they would grow up and cultivate a little humility.

Agreed. Literally no one wants him back in the Royal Family. I think everyone from the King down would be delighted for him to stay in the States permanently.

IsoldeWagner · 02/05/2024 19:22

No way should he return. Who has said that!
I wouldn't wish his return on the RF. I'm sure several of them are mighty relieved he's gone.

Vespanest · 02/05/2024 19:22

many of the points would be a good debate from an anti royalist or even anti British monarchy if they weren’t in support of two royals. As someone who isn’t white any support of Harry in the lens of racism is a pretty big insult. The pair have even been invited under the guise of the British monarchy with the HRH, they use their titles, Harry is the walking embodiment of white privileged with multi millions coming directly from the royal family in the form of inheritance. The only separation is Harry flounces when he doesn’t get his own way.

IsoldeWagner · 02/05/2024 19:24

@Vespanest - excellent points. It's bewildering how people can be anti royal family, yet supporters of Harry and Meghan, who are as royal as they come.

Announcing that you are leaving reminds me of logging out of a work shift.

Don't blame you. My husband gave off to me the other night because I left Dreamies on the back doorstep. I'd given them to a cat that didn't finish them in fairness. He was complaining that the slugs had eaten them and they had died, because of the salt in the Dreamies...

I am a snail, not a slug!!!!

No slugsplaining please 😡

AutumnCrow · 03/05/2024 05:32

What reparations is Harry paying out from his generous inheritances from the Royal Family and the Spencer family via his mother?

Answers please on a postcard.

IsoldeWagner · 03/05/2024 05:37

If the RF are guilty, then Harry is guilty as you say, @AutumnCrow .
Then Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet are guilty too. They're royal and direct descendants of all those monarchs.

You know who else recreated a Colonial look throughout a tour? Why, that would be Meghan and Harry. Funny no-one had a negative word to say about this incident, though.

Wow! I wasn't aware of that element of the Fiji tour.

It just underlines the utter wilful ignorance and maliciously selective agenda of the SS. And the red dress too! (I don't subscribe to the view that the colour of a dress is a calculated insult to your hosts, btw.)

It just proves beyond any doubt that the nuttier Sussex supporters have lost touch with reality. Basically W & C can't do anything right and H & M cannot do anything wrong. Simples!

Prince Harry and Meghan greeted in Fiji with a spectacular show

@AliceOlive that video is interesting to watch. You can almost see Meghan wriggling in her seat playing with her hair all the time. For a start she is separated from Harry so spends a great deal of time watching him. She does do one episode of seal clapping when Harry drinks. This showed her that she wasn't Queen Bee and that yes there is a great deal of Royal time spent acknowledging other countries' customs and cultures. It's not a premiere or awards show with adulation on the red carpet - it's a matter of respect which goes two ways.

Harry looks like he is in a foul mood in that video, and Meghan is persistently trying to catch his eye. Very odd dynamics at a formal event.

Yes, it's almost as though he'd forgotten how to behave at something like this and she was a fidget but at least she didn't hold his hand when they stood together - it looked as though she was thrown by not being seated next to him and they were both uncomfortable.

AliceOlive · 03/05/2024 15:52

It looks uncomfortable.
