William Threatened Tatler and Camilla's niece help plant story

In the audio, the journo explains what happened when she referred to Kate as being thin.
William rang Tatler and The Daily Mail, arranged lunch with them and his staff to plant stories.
Camilla's niece who works at Tatler helped him twisted the true position to be favourable to William and Kate.

She says no British print media is allowed to say anything negative about Kate or William. The negative stories must be about Harry and Meghan.

This is democracy in 21st century Britain.

Can we just agree that NONE of them are any good?

Yes, this seems uncontroversial, and has the merit of accuracy.

Ratsoffasinkingsauage · 24/04/2024 15:47

So Harry is allowed to threaten to sue for things said about his wife and that is laudable and great. But if William even tries to start the conversation then he is a bully and controlling the media.

The mental gymnastics of the cult, ladies and gentlemen!

As @BemusedAmerican rightly points out: The Sussex Squad are openly bullying a food bank;
as well as a 6 year old, a poorly Princess of Wales and a poorly King both of whom are in treatment for cancer.

I can’t actually believe that this thread is being allowed and is not being deleted. Although maybe because it’s targeting the Prince of Wales, it’s not seen as goady. Like all the threads spreading conspiracy theories about the Princess of Wales were allowed to stay.

Totally agree but start a thread about the vile Sewer Squad and that’s removed as being goady.

Harry is allowed to make up complete lies that he offered to pay for the cost of security in order to spin the fact that he’s suing the Home Office to try and force taxpayers to fund it. Meghan is allowed to lie to the court about her involvement in Finding Freedom, because, as Harry said in writing, it was important for them to be able to say they had nothing to do with it.

But William is the bad guy here, of course, for straightforwardly using the established legal system to complain about a bitchy article, mostly it seems because it was attacking private citizens.

OneHeartySnail · 24/04/2024 15:59

So, Tatler prints something potentially defamatory under UK law. William's lawyers point out that it is potentially defamatory and if not taken down there will be legal action.

I am not quite sure how that becomes 'bullying'?

Surely that is trying to get the media to comply with the law? Isn't that a good thing, holding the media accountable?

MummyJ12 · 24/04/2024 16:07

It’s ok for Prince Harry to break confidentiality rules by sending MP Johnny Mercer private and confidential information about his security claim and case against the Home Office……now that’s someone who will do whatever he needs to get what he wants.

Not sure why this posted twice?! 🤔

BemusedAmerican · 24/04/2024 16:14

@Dollenganger333 People on Reddit are taking bets on how long it will take the new Archewell staff to quit. William has considerably less staff turnover.

William has a reputation as a bully.

And yet it isn’t his name that is being linked to bullying at the moment but that of another…

Interesting timing for this story about William and Tatler to come out, isn't it?

FictionalCharacter · 24/04/2024 16:30

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 24/04/2024 12:38

Oh this is the 'royal family control the meeja and speshully the Murdoch press' bullshit again, isn't it?

But it’s an accusation on Instagram by an aggrieved journalist, it must be true!

OP I don’t think you understand what “democracy”means.

MummyJ12 · 24/04/2024 16:30

I couldn’t agree more @ArcaneWireless the usual tactics are evident.
I take it back, let this thread stand as it illustrates perfectly what we were discussing on the Sussex Squad thread.

Devonisheaven · 24/04/2024 15:45

Links please I can’t find anything to back up your claim, who did he bully? Staff? will be interesting to read about that.

I have already asked this question of @Dollenganger333 but no response as yet . In anticipation of being told to Google I did do that . Still nothing. Apart from Harry’s Truth and we all know that recollections vary.

AutumnCrow · 24/04/2024 16:43

Re your Mark Twain reference, @ArcaneWireless - I'm not sure that a lot of certain 'supporters' realise that Mark Twain wrote satire and humour. They sound like they're reading A Connecticut Yankee and rather than realising it's a satire on reverence for rank, are thinking it's a prophetic sacred text about the coming of one who will show the monarchy how to modernise and democratise. Pitiful really.

Don't hold your breath. At best you'll be told to google it and educate yourself if you ever do get an answer.

Thedom · 24/04/2024 16:56

Is this the new Sussex deputy communications officer for the UK, getting his feet under the table and making himself comfortable with his surroundings.

BemusedAmerican · 24/04/2024 15:27

H & M's supporters are bullying a food bank yet they say nothing.

I know. It's absolutely shocking.
But they stayed silent on all the online bullying of Kate, so what do you expect.

Because some people want to spread lies about William.

SuziQuinto · 24/04/2024 17:07

Some people struggle to think with any logic.
We know that there are frequently negative stories about William and Kate. To deny that is to be obtuse in the extreme.

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 24/04/2024 17:08

Apparently only bullying if William does it. When Harry does it he's a crusader for truth holding the vile media to account.
