Couldn't resist opening it with this from the last thread 😁

No doubt they would say they weren’t able to attend anyway due to time constraints

Perhaps they were sent a "save the date" card but had to decline due to potential awkward encounters with Gwyneth's juicier lemons.

ThePoshUns · 05/05/2024 09:53

I love Gwyneths style. Her children are so good looking- great genes from Mum and Dad. Imagine being at the same party as Rob Lowe? I'd faint.

smilesy · 05/05/2024 10:21

What strikes me in that article is the emphasis on the Riviera with the Italian style
food and the lemon trees. This is what I don’t get about jam. Why strawberry jam? Surely it would have been better to make something with the lemons that seem to feature heavily in Montecito and that Meghan herself has offered as gifts previously. Something like lemon curd if she wanted to give it a British twist. There are so many things you can make with lemons, from drinks, to scented candles, soap etc. For me, she always seems to be just wide of the mark in what she chooses as a project 🤷‍♀️

Because she pays no attention to details.

Lemon themed edible goods would have been a great tie-in with the Lemonada deal and a nod to the "life giving you lemons, make lemonade" adage, which would refer to her absolutely dreadful, awful, tragic and ultimately triumphant brush with the British people, press and RF (instructions on the box: just add sugar).

Archie will turn five on Monday May 6, and it is thought both Meghan and Harry will help him celebrate the special day.

^^ From the article. Who on earth talks about children and their relationship with their parents in these terms?

Serenster · 05/05/2024 11:01

Hello magazine reporting Meghan spotted at an event for entrepreneurs given by a venture capitalist firm.

I also saw that. I’m surprised Meghan is attending those kind of events. Given the location at a hotel and the fact a few businesses were invited to attend it sounds like it may have been a session offering advice for a number of firms the VC is considering investing in as to how to maximise their “value-creation levers” (that’s their speak, not mine!). I.e. clearly identify in your business plan how you will accelerate growth and expand, while also ensuring your supply chain and procurement is scaled up to support this, and your operation design is clear etc etc.

I would have assumed that given Meghan’s obviously high profile she’d have been meeting in person with the firms. And hiring a coporate adviser who can give her tall that advice in preparation for the meetings.

Who knows? Not many have been rolling on the grass to herald the jammy arrival though eh?

Silence Of The Jams 🤐🍯

Interesting that the grass botherer got an invite and the Henry's were absent when they're like flies on shit for well, pretty much everything. Apart from that anyone else thinks it looks like a rather chilly evening to be outside? Bet half the guests were frozen 😬

No one. Oh except Harry and Meghan.
They really are desperate for the clicks, aren't they?

I’m sure the 340 minge candles gave off enough heat to take the edge off.

Thanks @Serenster, that's interesting and it does sound a bit "entry level" for someone of Meghan's profile and wealth. Unless she's looking at becoming a VC herself I suppose, and was there to see how other VCs operate? She has invested in that coffee company, maybe this is something she's thinking of doing on a bigger, more formal scale? I believe Serena Williams has a VC company, so there's a model she could emulate.

Not another tangent to go off at. Fgs, they need to get one thing right before moving on to something new yet again. I really think this is their problem. Absolutely no long term strategy

No long term strategy apart from 'let's throw everything at the wall and see what sticks,' anyway.

She hasn't got that kind of money, surely?

Harry's got money from Spare, but Spare won't provide a long term income - anyone who wanted to buy it will have bought it by now - and a lot of it must be going on living expenses and legal fees.

I agree that if she wanted advice about business planning, she could have paid someone to give it privately, and specifically related to her ideas. And long before she got to the point of sending out jars of jam.

Abouttimeforanamechange · 05/05/2024 12:12

Absolutely no long term strategy

Their one idea was to bounce the Queen into agreeing to their half-in, half out plan. When she said No, they had no Plan B, and they've been flailing around ever since.

... trying to do what they're not allowed to do 'covertly' with little success, the only thing they seem to get right is lying and gossiping - odious pair!
