Couldn't resist opening it with this from the last thread 😁

So do I, then they can stop trying to claim and maintenance or benefit from being the Royal Family of the UK taxpayers that they loathe so much

ironic for two people who so desperately just wanted a private life away from the nuisance of the media that they so constantly put themselves in the spotlight

Edited

I’d just like to see them succeed personally and financially doing something unrelated to Harry’s family.

I don’t think they ever wanted privacy, just control over their image. I think someone could give them zillions and they would still turn up for meaningless awards and have “sources” talk about them. But maybe if they felt truly successful it would not be so negative and their fans would leave everyone else alone including the RF and unrelated small businesses.

Or she could be trolling the world and is laughing at all the reactions.

I don't think Meghan would EVER use herself as a source of amusement.

AnnieSF · 03/05/2024 13:48

How about this - combining two things Harry loves ? A tribute to the late Queen and to his weed?

Why does it look like there is smoke coming out of the jar 😆

I think it’s a long promo launch for the cooking series and the cooking series itself will be the promo launch for the lifestyle products.

She won’t be selling jam - she’ll be selling all the kitchen stuff used to make jam - there will be fancy copper pans, crockpots, etc. And there will be product placement deals for big name equipment like KitchenAid etc.

Hardly sounds like something that will pull the pennies in.

AnnieSF · 03/05/2024 13:56

@smilesy it's freshly gathered 😂

I doubt it - this venture has apparently cost her/them a huge amount of money and is pretty much the last roll of the dice for them professionally.

I am baffled as to how it could have cost a huge amount of money. It was all done very last minute with domains not secured etc.

I think she'd be sat at home laughing at everyone and thinking WTF 😁

Do you have a source? As I always like to read for myself

FlouncetteLaFroth · 04/05/2024 15:51

I don’t think that is outwith the realms of possibility @ladybirdsanchez

To launch a brand (global?) would indeed involve a huge amount of money.

It is also possible that it could be the last roll of the dice (commercially) as they are thought of with ridicule and the jam drip has certainly not helped the cause.

I’m not sure if big brands will want to be in association with the ARO brand at all. Why subject yourself to that kind of scrutiny/backlash if it didn’t go quite as well as supporters hoped?

The questionable happenings surrounding the small batch jam company reviews would surely make some stop and think.

Just an opinion of course.

I think a source would be interesting although I wonder what difference it would make. The point you make seems feasible enough.

And I find here that often you can state something and others will always find a different interpretation of the words that are written.

You could just as easily write something along the lines of ‘Mr McBusiness said that there is a problem with x, y or z’ and it will be interpreted as ‘I can safely cross the road thanks to Tufty the Squirrel’.

The proof will be in the pudding.

But it ain’t in the jam.

You can tell by Meghan's face changes and her microexpressions that she is not one to laugh at herself. Indeed there are some expressions she makes which make me seriously wonder about her mental health.

I don't think she'd be much good at the poker table.

FlouncetteLaFroth · 04/05/2024 17:34

She’s not that good at jam either…

AnnieSF · 04/05/2024 17:53

I wonder what is going through Meehan's head when some of these incidents occur eg the one where her mother spoke in a conversation. I think she has an idea of what she would like to happen at an event but if something goes slightly astray she has to regroup her thoughts. She is almost robotic like - smile, look of horror, pursing of lips then back to smile. You can literally see the cogs turning. How do I get this back to me?

upinaballoon · 04/05/2024 19:03

The proof of the pudding is in the eating.

FlouncetteLaFroth · 04/05/2024 19:07

They maybe prefer eating puddings in her circle.

No one seems to be doing much eating of the jam.

EmpressOfTheThread · 04/05/2024 19:58

Are all the numbers accounted for?
Have we confirmed 1-50? Who was 50?

FlouncetteLaFroth · 04/05/2024 20:03

Who knows? Not many have been rolling on the grass to herald the jammy arrival though eh?

ARO thread 3
EmpressOfTheThread · 04/05/2024 20:06

Yes, rolling on the grass, indicating possible ways of eating said jam and possibly admiring superfluous lemons.
My husband came home this afternoon with a whole bag of lemons he'd got cheap at the market. I said "where's the jam?" He didn't understand 😂

EmpressOfTheThread · 04/05/2024 21:06

Interesting article, thank you. I agree that the presentation of herself as "oppressed" and "misunderstood" wasn't very clever, because it was so easy to disprove, like so many of their claims.

WatchOutMissMarpleIsAbout · 04/05/2024 21:16

It’s not very complimentary about Meghan. Is this new as I thought the NY post was a supporter of the Sussexes? Or have I got them mixed up with another publication?

edit: pressed post too soon

thank you for posting. And I wonder are more people seeing through Meghan?

Thatsthewayitisnt · 04/05/2024 21:23

I wonder if Meghan reads articles about herself?

AliceOlive · 04/05/2024 21:26

@BemusedAmerican That is such a weird article. Why would they compare these two women? The comments are interesting, though. NYC is so small.
